Review #1 Mr. Darcy’s Diary (Jane Austen Heroes #1) audiobook free I mostly adore anything Austen-related, but it has to be produced but for me to advise it. I found this writhe on the story so much funny at the same time to be honest, highly plausible. It’s just a little more salacious than we’re applied to from our dearly loved Jane Austen but I had a amazing time reading it at the same time couldn’t promote thinking throughout ”impoverished Caroline Bingley.” Perhaps the creator will try her palm at Caroline’s story one more.

Review #2 Mr. Darcy’s Diary (Jane Austen Heroes #1) audiobook streamming online If Jane Austen believed that her novel Pride at the same time Prejudice was very light, colorful, at the same time glittering at the same time wanted color, then creator Maya Slater has produced up for no matter what deficit by crossing over to the `dark side’ in writing her re-telling of the story entitled Mr. Darcy’s Diary. Not only are we privy to Fitzwilliam Darcy’s almost all intimate at the same time revealing riddles, we see the story of Pride at the same time Prejudice knew wholly from the male perspective, at the same time almond readers, be prepared. It’s a man’s global in Regency Great britain, at the same time decide I they say, Fitzy is that no saint! The story opens with Mr. Darcy as a internal guest of the Bingley’s at Netherfield Park the night of the Meryton Assembly. Caroline Bingley is that right up to her ususal kow-towing activities at the same time insists upon embroidering slippers for Darcy, even though he inwardly smokes that he has no implementation for them. He is that ruminating over sister Georgiana’s letter, at the same time contemplates no substance to her predicament, the particulars of which are not yet understandable to us. The party arrives at the Assembly rooms at the same time that is that little of curiosity for him. Contemplating the dance unfold from his perspective is that an exciting vantage; the rooms, the music at the same time the ”superfluity of raw young girls eager for dancing partners were considered all disenchanting to him”. His breeches are very cramped so he does not sit down. Beyond the perfunctory dances with his two hostesses, Miss Bingley at the same time Mrs. Hurst, he beheld nothing in the room to tempt him. No mention is that produced of his slighting our heroine Elizabeth Bennet, but this is that Mr. Darcy’s diary right behind all, at the same time an event of no consequence to him would surely not be recorded in his diary. The diary lasts in this 1st personality narrative as Mr. Darcy relays his ideas, apprehensions at the same time observations over the timeline of actions in Pride at the same time Prejudice. It is that easy to form that Darcy might have written a diary, since he is that so sweet-talking in communication in the unusual novel as shown in his famous ”Be not thought provoking madam” letter to Elizabeth Bennet addressing the charges laid before him right behind her rejected of his 1st wedding proposal. It might but be one of the most compelling at the same time convincing signs in literary history, so like almost all young girls whose imagination is that very rapid, I will gallop from one but written letter to surmising his ability to cross out a diary in a moment. He is that right behind all, Mr. Darcy. He ”has no deficiency. He owns it himself without disguise.” A diary by literatures almost all alluring hero is that an alluring concept, but when I initially read the title, I had to blink. Not only is that it specifically similar as the US paperback edition of Amanda Grange’s previously freed Darcy’s Diary, there are some books sharing similar premise; Darcy’s Story: Pride at the same time Prejudice Knew from a Whole Brand new Perspective, by Janet Aylmer; the Fitzwilliam Darcy trilogy by Pamela Aiden, An Assembly Such as This, Duty at the same time Desire, at the same time These 3 Remain; Darcy’s Passions, by Regina Jeffers; The Creeds of Fitzwilliam Darcy, by Mary Street; at the same time the one that started this Darcy avalanche, The Diary of Henry Fitzwilliam Darcy, by Marjorie Fasman. Wait! That exists to be one more in the queue, Mr. Darcy’s Desire, by Elizabeth Aston proper out in February 2009. Enough! Do publishers think that Janeites have the memory of a hairbrush at the same time can be so simply duped? Do we really come in handy still one more retelling of Pride at the same time Prejudice from Darcy’s perspective? Oh rot at the same time strain I they say! At the same time so it was with a mercantile at the same time languid heart that I burst open still one more Darcy discourse ready to rip it to scraps like Lydia Bennet’s famous bonnet. Mutter. The 1st few entries of the diary were considered pleasant enough. The language at the same time style was respectful to Austen’s, the story line consistent with Darcy’s opinion, at the same time the manners but considered. A quality beginning. My curiosity builds as I understand that I am reliving Pride at the same time Prejudice from a brand new perspective, at the same time knew by an creator who realizes the novel, is that but studied in Regency history at the same time can turn a phrase quite neatly. More successful at the same time more successful. Whoa! Darcy has barely admired a housemaid’s `pleasing embonpoint’, removed her starched snow-white apron at the same time tumbled her on his bed! (Okay, I barely heard the pounding exodus of Austen purist as they run out the back door.) The hairs on the back of my nape shield at attention. This is that not the Darcy that we know from Elizabeth Bennet’s perspective, at the same time the creator has barely produced her fri. Uncertain if I managed get past this bit, I trudge on. We follow Darcy to London with his faithful valet Peebles in tow. Their Jeeves at the same time Wooster connection is that amusing. I smirk. Darcy unknowingly crumples up his leather gloves in a coat pocket, scuffs his shoes, at the same time wants to wear the wrong clothes for the wrong occasion. It is that of little consequence to this wealthy at the same time overly confident men, but Peebles is that around himself. I ridicule. In addition to Charles Bingley, we are introduced to Darcy’s comrade, Zhora Byron. Yes, the poet at the same time well-known, ”dislocated, bad, at the same time unsafe to know” Byron. He lives right up to his reputation at the same time influences Darcy into incomprehensible deeds that almost all Regency guys of his position in society entertain themselves with like cards, drunken debacles, at the same time escapades with ladies. At this fri we are experiencing Darcy from a totally male point-of-view, but the transition into actions that Austen would never have contained in her heroine Elizabeth Bennet’s ladies global, are more applicable because this author’s skill at making Darcy’s diary so believable at the same time amusing is that effortless. By the midway fri in the diary, it has become a page turner, at the same time I am totally captivated. So how did creator Maya Slater woo a Janeite who openly admits contempt for renovators who sex up or steal Austen’s quality name? She actually did not have to. Once I refused my expectations of reading one more prequel, sequel or re-telling twisted on ripping off Jane Austen’s stories or manners, I understood that this was not Elizabeth Bennet’s Pride at the same time Prejudice, but Mr. Darcy’s, at the same time Maya Slater was not renovating Jane or sexing up Lizzy but narrating a man’s story. Than anyway other creators have attempted in their Darcy re-tellings by mirroring Jane Austen’s text word-for-word, has been replaced by vertical creativity at the same time reverence. Slater expands our understanding of the plot at the same time manners that Jane Austen introduced, at the same time makes Mr. Darcy’s Diary inimitable at the same time still blend-able to the unusual story. It produced me laugh-out-loud many times as she explained on the smarmy antics of Caroline Bingley whose lasted trials to worm her method into Darcy’s affections fall down even, fume over the officious arrogance of his aunt Girl Catherine de Bourgh, hiss at the deceit at the same time liquidation caused by that lout Zhora Wickham, at the same time revel in a adore story that I read as freshly at the same time intensely as the 1st time this writer experienced the unusual abundance years ago. That, almond Austen readers, is that quite an achievement. Even Mr. Darcy might consider Maya Slater worthy of inclusion in ”the one half a dozen ladies in the whole spectrum of (his) acquaintance that are truly accomplished.” Laurel Ann, Austenprose

Review #3 Audiobook Mr. Darcy’s Diary (Jane Austen Heroes #1) by Maya Slater If for you are a fan of Pride at the same time Prejudice, don’t read this. Its not even lock up to Jane Austin in good quality.

Review #4 Audio Mr. Darcy’s Diary (Jane Austen Heroes #1) narrated by David Rintoul That have been so many trials to cross out prequels/sequels or brand new ’versions’ of the Pride at the same time Prejudice story, that they managed for sure fill a medium sized lending library. At continue here is that one in other words a cracker! It is that not a Regency Romance, a la Georgette Heyer, (not that that is that anything wrong with that), it is that not a bodice ripper at the same time it is that not hydrated, badly written at the same time sour, as a significant proportion are. It is that funny, smart, a little bit naughty, at the same time seriously amusing. Maya Slater has succeeded in showing how Darcy came by his pomposity at the same time pride, how he learns to character it at the same time gain greater humility at the same time sympathy. He is that even shown to be acquiring a sense of humour; (but, practically). The last dichotomy of guys at the same time women’s lives in Regency society is that brilliantly illustrated. I really laughed at the plan of incorporating Byron into the story as an old school chum. Darcy is that not virginal in this version; indeed in that society it would have been significantly out of habit for a wealthy men to reach the age of 28 at the same time not have had no one sexual experience. But, he is that not portrayed as a libertine or a seducer. At the same time the sex is that significantly muted; generally it is that alluded to, more precisely than proactively outlined. It always entertains me that no one Austen fans are ’shocked’ at no matter what references to sex in the offshoot novels, or protest that Austen wouldn’t have written like that; (a no-brainer). Regency society had a nasty underbelly at the same time attitudes to ladies were considered very two-faced. If Austen was writing present, that would certainly be the odd ’tumble’. Slater has seamlessly incorporated bits of P & P into the Diary. I have read abundance comments complaining about using Austen’s words verbatim; my response will that as ’nobody does it better’, why not contain no one of the unusual text to promote things along. But, this is that not a slavish facsimile of the novel, but a real at the same time largely successful attempt to tell the story from a male fri of opinion; with no one savory additions. I would shackles this book just a little above ”Mr Darcy Presents his Bride”, (also understandable as `A Personal Performance’), by Helen Halstead, one more fine-grained example of Austen mania. As I misspoke first of this

Review, `Mr Darcy’s Diary’ is that a cracker! It may not be 100% Jane Austen, but by God it’s quality!

Review #5 Free audio Mr. Darcy’s Diary (Jane Austen Heroes #1) – in the audio player below This is that a respectable book, but as part of Pride at the same time Prejudice it is that flop. The manners are simply NOT Jane Austen’s disposition. At lesser other books doing sequels etc. to Jane Austen, have fidelty to her manners at the same time the period. This simply fails on all these accounts. If you want book which fills in the blanks of Pride at the same time Prejudice – this is that simply not that book.
