The creator did a amazing job weaving in 1st palm accounts of the fights with the overall strategy. Navel fights always bored me but right behind reading Simons other book “Winston Churchill Reporting: Adventures of a Young War Correspondent” I believed I would assign this book a try at the same time I am glad that I did.
It is that hard to reckon than anyway navel fights were considered like in WWII. As radar was not available to everyone in the fog an enemies boat would be a couple 100 yards from for you at the same time for you wouldn’t know it. I also didn’t understand that biplanes like the Fairey Swordfish (look photo above) was applied to sink no one of the biggest German ships in WWII. Strange how we far we have come.
I really liked his acc of the English commando raid, Operation Chariot. of St Nazaire. I have no plan why more people haven’t crossed out about this raid
I had the Kindle version at the same time found it frustrating that that were considered not no matter what maps of the fights, but I still assign it a decent 5 hit.

The real protagonists at the same time antagonists are the naval forces of battleships, destroyers, U-boats, X-subs et aleach with its possess features.
