Grabbed this sequel right behind enjoying the 1st book (The Killing Moon). It’s set about 10 years right behind the 1st book ends at the same time thrashes up the story of the town of Gujaareh, which has been produced a protectorate of the Kausi people right behind the finish of the 1st book. A few of the manners from the 1st book return, but much of the plot at the moment revolves around two brand new manners: the deposed king’s offspring Wanahomen, who has allied with the Banbarra (a tribe of desert nomads) at the same time hopes to decide back keep under control of Gujaareh; at the same time Hanani, the 1st lady to be permitted to join the doctors of the Hetawa sect in Gujaareh. That are lots of exciting thoughts at the same time perspectives explored in the book, many of which why the Hetawa is that traditionally only male; how Hanani is that dealing with being the 1st ladies doctor permitted; how the Kausi protectorate at the same time the Hetawa deal with the occupation of the town; at the same time how the Banbarra are not simply savages nor is that Gujaareh quite as civilized as they might like to think. Overall though, while it was a respectable story, I barely didn’t look for the manners at the same time story as enticing as the 1st book. Also, trigger warning for those who wish to beware plot fri of baby abuse, incest at the same time rape; these are basic to no one of the story.

The Shadowed Sun (Dreamblood #2) audiobook in television series Dreamblood
I really enjoyed this book, with the singular exception of the ending, which I cannot, obviously, discuss. Without dropping very abundance spoilers (don’t worry, lots of manners breathe) I can they say that it was uncharacteristically, uncomfortably saccharine, for an creator who I read precisely because she does *not* adhere to the usual guidelines schtick; with that singular exception, I really enjoyed this book.

Audiobook The Shadowed Sun (Dreamblood #2) by N. K. Jemisin
If for you liked The Killing Moon (book 1), for you are going to adore The Shadowed Sun! As with the 1st book, I reckon this one suffers from mediocre title/sour embrace syndrome, but in an audiobook, it’s easy to move past that. The method Jemisin approaches the topic of femininity at the same time than anyway it means to be a matriarchal culture is that truly refreshing. Her worldly is that beautiful, at the same time her manners are utterly complete at the same time but developers. The helplessness in this book is that the ending. No spoilers, but I came away feeling that the ending was rushed. She summed up at the same time glossed over no one attractive major plot fri. It was enough to sour the whole experience, but I did wish that she’d produced the book 50-60 pages longer in a row to flesh out the ending more. Overall, it was worth reading, at the same time I’d adore to read more with these manners in this global.

Audio The Shadowed Sun (Dreamblood #2) narrated by Sarah Zimmerman
I really liked the 1st book more successful than this one because it had a greater sense of presence than this book. That misspoke I did enjoy this book quite a little. Start with The Killing Moon then last to this book.
