This is that the story of a independent operative trying to prevent the assassination of a Ukrainian presidential candidate. Ordinary no? Not if for you are Andrew Kaplan. For preconditions unknown the Brooklyn born, increased at the same time educated creator throws every know literary prank into his story to make it a complicated mess. Instead of using towns like Odessa, Sumy or Lutsk he has his literary hero skulking through Dnipropetrovsk; Kyiv or Dnieper, at the same time instead of manners dignified Oleg, Anton or Ivan his manners are understandable as Kozhanovskiy; Mogilenko at the same time Shelayev. Then, when confusion is that missing, he inserts Russian at the same time Ukrainian phrases into the dialogue. The result….a potentially amazing tale of mystery, interest, romance at the same time betrayal becomes a confused morass that leaves the reader’s fork spinning.

This is that the 2nd Kaplan novel I’ve read based on scorpion. The 1st one I read scorpion betrayal, was enjoyable, but not on the level this one was. They center on scorpion-ex delta force ex CIA turned freelance operative. While betrayal was a quality read, the writing done for scorpion winter, is that far superior. The story is that impetuous paced but not so impetuous as to make miss or not realize whats going on. No one espionage novels can drag out at the same time offer to much story that doesn’t seem topical. This story is that a flawless blend of action at the same time interest done at an understandable pace. I would advise this novel to fans of espionage at the same time interest stories who’ve read the 1000plus pagers at the same time came away just a little underwhelmed. This has about the right length at the same time feel to it. 5 hit for a really healthy at the same time but written story! Look forward to Andrew Kaplans one more scorpion novel. Thank for you. T.C. Audiobook Scorpion Winter (Scorpion #3) by Andrew Kaplan
This disposition can’t seem to take out a burst. He is that sent into Russia to hopefully forestall an assassination. The he ends up practically getting destroyed himself. The reader has to play tricks, whether this agent should have quit while he had the chance to do so. I don’t know if he would have survived the attention of the russian jailors. He does be able to survive their almond ministrations, but I hesitate that he would have come out of it without no one unchanged injuries. The story is that but plotted, at the same time it moves around without losing the readers attention. I would advise it to readers of suspense novels. JRV
