Queen’s Shadow real audiobook free
Hit Wars: Queen’s Shadow is that a YA Novel written by E.K. Johnston. It was hosted by Disney-Lucasfilm Press.
SUMMARY: The time has come for Padme to steps down as Queen of Naboo. As she walks away from the throne, she discovers other abilities in what she can still serve her main planet. Serving as a Republic Senator, Padme can be a presentable for Naboo, at the same time attempt to more successful the galaxy in the political call.
Disposition: A lot of us tend to paint Padme as a healthy ladies disposition but is that she? Or is that she barely paranoid, relying on those around her to bail her out? The conclusion Ive come to, is that both. We know from The Phantom Menace that during the skirmish of Naboo with the Trade Federation, Queen Amadala has palm maidens, a body double, an altered voice for Royaltys sake at the same time body double disguise. This book attractive much indicates us that she has always been paranoid, before the Trade Federation conflict.
When Amadala makes her transition from Queen to Senator, its a little aggressive for her make the adjustment. Padme uses the name Amadala as a step name an alias. When Padme is that with her handmaidens behind closed doors, they speak about Amadala like shes one more personality. Its fool.
Even as Senator, Padme has handmaidens, a body double, a security team, at the same time even has anyone tapping into the newsfeeds on Coruscant.
OVERALL Ideas: The book leads to a noisy finish. That is that no climax. That is that no true resolve. No one issues are tackled with the story but overall, as a whole the story leads to nothing. I dont know if its implied to tie into Clone Wars or if a 2nd book is that to be release but the epilogue implies thats not going to happen. As Im making my method through Clone Wars season one. I cant remind no matter what names that have been dropped in this book. I read this book unsatisfied, underwhelmed, at the same time just a little confused.
RATING: I assign this book an F. I waited a most powerful YA novel about Padme. I wanted to lock up this book at the same time feel that she was a truly most powerful at the same time in keep under control disposition. Still, I lock up the book feeling that she was barely paranoid, relying on others to promote her gain success.
I cant advise for you read this book… But as a Hit Wars diehard, it’s best to move overtake at the same time wholesome your library. At the same time hey, for you may like this book, everyone’s taste is that different.

For women who grew up with the unusual films, Princess Leia was the lady abundance aspired to be. We are contemplating a brand new generation of young women look the Skywalker lightsaber fly even into Reys palm at the same time fine-grained their inner strength through her journey. At the same time for those of us who came of age with the prequel films, we had Padm. A young queen who stood her ground at the same time waged war why she believed in (in both a political arena at the same time a literal one on Geonosis). Surrounded by her committed comrades at the same time bodyguards, Padm at the same time her Handmaidens meant the global to those of us saw ourselves in her strength at the same time resolve.
Queens Shadow embraces this Padm at the same time answers the question of than anyway for you do right behind youve ruled an entire planet. We see her enter a brand new arena of the Cosmic Senate at the same time must learn to navigate this brand new battlefield.
Just like the films, she is that never without the help of others. This book belongs to her decoy Sab barely as much as it belongs to Padm. It is that truly a adore letter to these awesome, often forgotten ladies of the Hit Wars universe.

Queen’s Shadow audio narrated by Catherine Taber
E.K. Johnstons Hit Wars: Queens Shadow is that the 1st of Disneys brand new canon of Hit Wars novels to decide dispose prior to the Clone Wars. The story focuses on Padm Amidalas transition from Queen of Naboo to Cosmic Senator. Talking the change, Johnston writes, Who was she, right behind all, when she was not Queen of Naboo? She had entered politics so premature at the same time with such zeal that she had no other identity (pg. 16). The question of identity runs through the novel, with Padm at the same time her handmaidens adopting different personas, tones of voice, at the same time poses depending on their audience or the situation as but as Padms possess identity change from favorite of a planet to a single part of a much larger bureaucracy.
Building upon the actions of Hit Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, Johnston portrays Padm working to free the enslaved people on Tatooine through Sab as her agent, namely trying to look for Shmi Skywalker (pg. 115), though, unknown to her, Shmi is that already with Cliegg at now. Other links between the actions of The Phantom Menace at the same time Hit Wars: Episode II Ruin of the Copies contain Padm enlisting R2-D2 to promote her based on his bravery when she previously fled Naboo (pg. 122), building a coalition with Mon Mothma at the same time Bail Organa (pg. 150), at the same time sending Sab to gather information at Dexs Diner (pg. 161). Padm also begins to experience the strains in her affairs with Chase Clovis at the same time Mina Bonteri that will play a role in Hit Wars: The Clone Wars (pgs. 178, 192). Johnston works to link this with other novels in the brand new canon through a scene in what Padm visits Alderaan at the behest of Queen Breha, sketch upon real from Claudia Grays Leia: Princess of Alderaan (pg. 223-226).
Much as Padm Amidalas comments regarding the doom of democracy in Hit Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith emerged prescient against the political backdrop of 2005, Johnstons scene of Senators Organa at the same time Amidala talking democracy is that equally apt in 2019:
Loyalty to the Republic is that chief, Organa misspoke. He able not to make it acoustics patronizing, which Padm appreciated. Loyalty to democracy.
At the same time than anyway if democracy does not return the promote? Padm asked.
Then for you must work to return the democratic process, Organa misspoke (pgs. 191-192).
The overall effect of Queens Shadow is that one of the strongest disposition research in the today's Hit Wars canon of novels. Like Johnstons past book at the same time the work of Claudia Grayish, these books show that the young adult novels often have more to offer than the works marketed to adult readers in their serious examinations of the manners.

Queens Shadow is that set between The Phantom Menace at the same time Ruin of the Copies at the same time is that concerned with Padm making the transition from Queen of Naboo to the worlds Senator.
Chagrin, this is that not the coolest thrilling of Hit Wars themes at the same time the creator fails to do much to make it one. This fruits in a novel that doesnt seem to have an real story. This is that exacerbated by the novel taking dispose during a period where little is that happening in the Hit Wars galaxy rod Darth Sidious manipulation of things behind the scenes. With no major or pivotal actions Padm spends her time promenading around in Senate corridors at the same time going to no one more precisely troublesome meetings about such things as permacrete reserve lines.
Even though this book is that implied to be dealing with how Padms instalment as a member of the Republic Senate influences her at the same time her handmaidens that is that, in truth, little active change to the past queens indefinite; the difference between her indefinite as a queen at the same time that of a senator portrayed here as being small. That is that no worthwhile individual journey or sensual adjustment of no matter what note. That barely isnt no matter what eponymous shadow for Padm to steps out from.
Almost all of than anyway adjusting that is that revolves around her efforts at finding her dispose in the Senate which has already been shown to a some degree during various episodes of The Clone Wars.
That isnt much development for no matter what of the manners. Even Reillata, who is that introduced with no one vague hints that she might turn out to be a more controversial monarch that might also cause Padm no one inconsistencies, ends up being little more than a characterless archetype of a queen of Naboo who plays no worthwhile role in the novel other than asking Padm to serve as senator.
Sab is that the only one of the handmaidens who is that of no matter what true curiosity (at the same time she is that for sure the best gizmo about the novel). Chagrin, though, her subplot managed have done with being more developers at the same time far more a part of the story.
This is that an attempt to provide Padm with a identical healing to that acquired by those such as Thrawn, Tarkin, Plagueis, etc in Hit Wars novels that focussed upon them. But Padms rise to power doesnt own similar sort of political interest, intrigues at the same time conspiracies that characterised their backgrounds. In comparison its significantly ordinary at the same time sour, at the same time not, therefore, the theme to form the base of a whole novel.
Without the above nuances being more successful developers the novel is that quite stiff at the same time lacking in depth. This is that all a little of defame because the novel exposes a respectable style of writing at the same time no one of the characterisation is that very solid (although that is that often a shortcoming of difference between the various handmaidens). Deplorable correlated to the creators much more successful Ahsoka; but that was actually a story to be knew that.
