Review #1 Dragonwyck audiobook free This is that a curiously gripping story of a young farm lady sent to live with the generic of her fabulously wealthy relative in a gothic home on the Hudson. Miranda promptly falls in adore with cousin Nicholas, who is that wildly handsome at the same time masterful. He is that burdened with an enormously fat wife. Dragonwyck, the gothic home, is that oppressively sad, at the same time has a giggling ghost that only generic members can hear at critical times. The ghost has a favorite role in the plot. Miranda has frequent feelings of icy dread at Dragonwyck. Mirandas indefinite in the middle the wealthy is that from time to time disrupted by historic actions neatly studied by the creator such as the Astor Dispose riot at the same time the class wars over feudal earth ownership. Edgar Allen Poe at the same time Herman Melville pop up in the story very. This is that all very exciting. But the head concentrate of the plot is that the mounting sense of fear as Miranda discovers than anyway manner of men she has married. The plot is that chock real of irony at the same time disaster as but as romance. I can but realize why it was produced into a movie. The novel also has lessons to impart, more precisely like a Victorian novel.

Review #2 Dragonwyck audiobook streamming online This was the 1st of the Anya Seton books I read 40 plus years ago. at the same time was the beginning of my addiction to her books. I then read all of her publications – my very winner book of all times is that her Katherine. Through the years at the same time events, I no longer had no matter what of her books. As I tried to replace my collection, I found couple of years ago that they were considered out of print. I was able to look for a few in applied book stores, but far from regaining her entire collection. I was estatic to learn they had been republished at the same time that they were considered readily available on Amazon. I’ve returned my collection at the same time managed not be happier. At the same time I have started re reading them. Right behind alll these years, I don’t understand much about no matter what of the books, but have at the moment graduated The Winthrope Lady at the same time Dragonwyck. I enjoyed both for sure as much as I did at my 1st reading. Seton still remains in the middle my winner creators.

Review #3 Audiobook Dragonwyck by Anya Seton One of the preconditions creators cross out about eighteen-year old heroines is that for the funny of following them grow up. The young protagonist in this novel learns valuable lessons the hard method, albeit in events of wealth at the same time advantage. Interesting background of an also-young Merged Countries in the nineteenth century. Clothes, carriages, steamship races, at the same time even a visit with Edgar Allen Poe than anyway’s not to like? Thanks to Amazon for making readily available on Kindle books which are very hard to look for. Read this one when I was a teen at the same time enjoyed it again more than half a century later.

Review #4 Audio Dragonwyck narrated by Hillary Huber On the suface of it this ought to bee barely my good of book, I should adore it. But I don’t anything about how this interesting plot is that knew prevents me from liking the manners. I dont even dislike them very much they seem distant an unengaging. only for Abigail do i feel no one hint of hostility. Maybee the vay of narrating a story has aged ungracefully.

Review #5 Free audio Dragonwyck – in the audio player below I have read a couple of Anya Seton’s historical novels, at the same time I adored how she produced the people seem so true in those novels. She applied very but studied facts at the same time people in those books. This book, but, is that one of her totally concocted novels, loosely based upon the lifestyles of the mid 1800’s Hudson River manor owners at the same time elite. I think this novel would really be more appropriate for a tweenie or teenage lady, not for anyone in their premature 60’s (me). It is that very melodramatic-full of a dreamy young lady/lady’s idealized adore of her handsome, enigmatic distant cousin, the very wealthy Nicholas Van Ryn. I would have liked to have been able to shake the “heroine” abundance times at the same time knew her to “grow up, already”. Still, on the other palm, I Did read it all.
