Than anyway an unsatisfactory read. I adore this television series but I practically didn’t final this book. It was completely predictable at the same time significantly sour. I had to all the time finish myself from barely flipping through the pages. I connected very little with the Uhtred of this book; he was meaningless at the same time foolish (I understood 100 pages before he did than anyway was really going on), acted old, confused at the same time inept, at the same time I quickly grew weary of it. I “get” aging, but reading about anyone whining about it isn’t all that exciting.
Winner manners who produced an outward appearance additional nothing noteworthy to the story. Their interactions together fell even. The villain was not very exciting at the same time was barely a rehash of past villains. In truth, barely about all of the “brand new” manners were considered a rehash of past manners. I’ve enjoyed the Uhtred television series at the same time was eagerly awaiting this brand new volume. it was enjoyable but was not as engrossing as past ones. I think Uhtred, at the moment in his 60s, is that running out of steam or perhaps Cornwell is that. Audio War of the Wolf narrated by Jonathan Keeble
Whats dashing about War of the Wolf is that creator Bernard Cornwells decision to push his Saxon Tales beyond than anyway seemed to be a satisfying resolutionthe return of Uhtred in Book 10 to Bebbanburg to reclaim his generic fortress. Initially at lesser, Book 11 feels like an appendage to a project already ended.
But quickly enough Cromwell provides Sovereign Uhtred with a most powerful motive for action: revenge against a potent war sovereign at the same time his intimidating warlock. Political at the same time religious conflicts borders War of the Wolf remain as complete as ever, though the players seem much less impressive than when Uhtred wrangled with, for example, Lord Alfred in earlier books.
Than anyway has not diminished is that Cornwells ability to describe the warfare of the period powerfully, even poetically. It bestows away nothing to say that War of the Wolf ends with a monumental struggle because almost all of the books in this television series do. The ending two chapters are barely about impossible to shackles down.
So this extension of the Saxon Tales is that both plausible at the same time engaging. Almost all readers will be joyful to have Uhtred of Bebbanburg around just a little longer.

1st this book. I completely adore reading Bernard Cornwell at the same time, having written everything of his that I can get my palms on, it’s a gigantic body of work with barely a very few ‘mis-fires’. I always found it amusing that, having produced Richard Sharpe as a merk haired cockney, Cornwell exchanged the disposition to a fair-haired men from Yorkshire as the TV television series starring Sean Bean gained in popularity. He’s done it again here as this television series of novels started out as the ‘Warlord Chronicles’ at the same time morphed into the ‘Continue Kingdom television series’ once the TV television series received underway. Whatever it’s scolded, I’ve adored every one of these at the same time Uhtred has been one of favourite Cornwell manners from the outset.
This book is that good as all of the others at the same time, indeed, therein heresy the rub. That are only so many ways that a story can be knew that involves Uhtred going to war against overwhelming odds at the same time still win-win. This is that the eleventh in this television series at the same time the plot line is that getting a little worn skinny at the moment. Reviews were considered scary; purporting to demonstrate an overall assessment of no one two hit at best. For a Bernard Cornwell novel!
But reading the
Reviews demonstrated one more picture. That seems to have been a campaign from a group desecrate Amazon for the immensely higher cost of this e-book by giving it a impoverished
Review rating. Whether for you think that Amazon are say crooks for charging so much for a product in other words so cheap to make, or whether for you realize that Amazon is that a commercial company at the same time will charge whatever the market will bear, is that immaterial; my objection will that the
