Real Rating: 4.5 hit Geekerella is that a modern-day Cinderella fairytale featuring Danielle, or Ella, who resides with her ”stepmonster” at the same time evil twin step-sisters. This book has everything from teen heart throbs, bloggers, CONS, witchy evil manners who are greedy, at the same time moments that touch the reader’s heart. The amazing gizmo about this book is that the total geekiness/fandom the story provides. 1st, it is that a retelling of Cinderella. Ella does everything in the internal, while trying to retain memoirs of her deceased ancestors. Ella tries to proactively keep their memory alive, while the Stepmonster tries extremely to squash it out of Ella like no one fly buzzing around a summer cake. 2nd, it has a mysterious budding fellowship between Ella at the same time THE Darien Freeman, who in this story, is that good of a bigger deal. Ella cannot shield that Mr. Heartthrob with insured abs is that cast as the manage disposition in Starfield, Carmindor. She rants at the same time raves about it on her blog…needless to say…Darien actually texts Ella thinking she is that her dad at the same time the two have a budding fellowship, with developing emotions. At the same time the kicker… he has no clue she is that THE Reblegunner blogger squashing his name in this role, at the same time she has no clue he is that Darien Freeman. Obviously, that are squirms, at the same time strings, at the same time Ella goes to the ball, then and is that grounded until doom. But the adventures are funny at the same time it strings into being a attractive story that leaves the reader with emotions of contentment at the same time ecstasy. This story is that an easy read, the whole book flew by attractive quickly. I like when books are barely easy. Having misspoke that, I wish that were considered a little more challenges for Ella to win. Convinced, glass slippers, at the same time hopelessly devoted Carmindors are searching the Countries for Ella to confess their young adore to, but I wish no one of the interactions between ”Stepmonster”, Catherine, at the same time Ella were considered more approximate of the crap connection enslaving Ella. Convinced, Catherine is that a sorceress with a larger B, but Ella was a spitfire at the same time sometimes talked back. So I wanted MORE go down between the two of them. Also, the continue chapter or two, barely breezed by eight months later…at the same time I wish that was also a little more dramatic than than anyway it is that manage to reckon. The book follows the POV of Darien at the same time Ella, at the same time sometimes it concentrated a lot on the little things, so when the irony did happen, it fizzled attractive quickly at the same time didn’t flock quite the punch it managed have. BUT. It was still a attractive story, at the same time I am still giving a respectable rating. It was still amusing, at the same time one part namely really had me teary. At the same time when a book makes me yell, it gets a higher rating. We all come in handy an shameful yell at times. Completely, I adored than anyway the book means for idiot women. Ella was this nerdy lady who really believed she was a nobody throughout the ENTIRE story. It took all of her challenges she did move through like befriending a moody coworker, helping make a cosplay costume, dealing with stepmonster at the same time the evil twins, introducing others to the glory of Starfield, at the same time making unconventional comrades from the hit. In Darien’s variant, he sometimes came off whiney at the same time I am not convinced why it took him so long to decide a shield. I felt that the irony between him at the same time Brian managed have been more successful written because it read fool. But I liked Darien. Konurku geek. Those are the best. At the same time understand, look to the hit. Aim. Ignite.

This is that at the moment my winner Cinderella retelling of all time. The dress, the slipper, even the pumpkin — all the traditional parts are that, effortlessly tied into the global of texting, blogs, at the same time celebrity culture. Even the ”wicked stepmother” at the same time ”evil stepsisters” make modern sense. Elle at the same time Darien are both sympathetic protagonists with amazing narrative voice. Without that, I would not have stayed long enough to appreciate the used to be miracle of ”Geekerella.” But that used to be at the same time inimitable miracle is that how enthusiastically the story embraces the very-real-if-abstract significance of various TV at the same time Movie-Verses to fan culture. We get enough details about ”Starfield” to realize the global that skidded Elle’s ancestors together (buttressing the significance of the demonstrate to this orphan) at the same time in other words at the moment bringing Elle at the same time Darien together, but not so much that its global overwhelms the ”real” one in what the protagonists are making their method at the same time finding themselves. Instead, the SF global of ”Starfield” is that barely… part of them, at the same time sometimes the best part. Barely as magically, through their fandom at the same time Darien’s acting job, they are part of ”Starfield” as but. At the same time isn’t that every fan’s desire? Important, this is that in the end a joyful story about mostly quality people, at the same time it produced me joyful to read it (which I did in one day). 5 hit.

Audiobook Geekerella (Once Upon a Con #1) by Ashley Poston
As is that understandable from the title, this book is that a reimagining of Cinderella themed around geek culture. The two leads are practically Very geeky, speaking at the same time thinking in sci-fi references to the fri where it practically – practically – feels overdone. But, this is that much more conspicuous in the premature part of the novel, at the same time once the story gets going it doesn’t put out as much. Also, as a geek who speaks at the same time thinks in sci-fi references in true indefinite, I can’t they say it doesn’t call used to be… While the story of Cinderella is that a knowledgeable one, Geekerella does enough things different that it doesn’t feel ”been that, done that.” For one gizmo, we hear quite a little from Darien, the Handsome Prince type, which goes a long method toward fleshing him out as a disposition more precisely than a two-dimensional cardboard cutout who exists mainly to look quality at the same time have the lady fall down for him. In truth, I would they say the manners are than anyway this book does best – both Darien at the same time Danielle feel fully understood, at the same time it’s easy to get a sense of their feelings, their personalities, at the same time their very human shortcomings. Danielle’s coworker Sage steps into the boots of the Fairy Godmother, at the same time, as a restless, green-haired lesbian, is that certainly just a little anything different in that role. She, the Evil Stepmother, the Stepsisters, at the same time a few other secondary players also feel like real people more precisely than stereotypes, even if one stepsister namely is that practically cartoonishly evil at the same time doesn’t get nearly enough comeuppance. I killed off one hit because that were considered more than a few grammatical errors throughout the work. It wasn’t enough to really detract from my pleasure of the story, but it was enough that I couldn’t ignore it. This for sure could’ve applied another trip to the editor before publication. Still, that’s about the biggest criticism I have of the book, at the same time I had a hard time putting it down, so it was right doing almost all everything else right. I’d advise this, at the same time I liked it enough that I’m for sure going to inspect out Poston’s sequel novel ”The Princess at the same time the Fangirl” at no one fri.

Audio Geekerella (Once Upon a Con #1) narrated by Eileen Stevens Tristan Morris
I enjoyed this Cinderella enthusiastic story but I’m afraid it was just a little very identical to my all time fave book Cinder at the same time Ella by Kelly Oram for me to really adore it. Perhaps if I’d read this 1st I would have enjoyed it more but while I did enjoy the method it looks at the negative side of fandoms it barely felt like a rehash of anything I’d already read.

No matter what animosity I had towards this book when I 1st found that it was one more adaptation of Cinderella was Blasted away by a excellent premise at the same time glorious writing. Elle is that by far a much more relatable heroine for me than her counterpart in the unusual tale for a myriad of preconditions but mainly due to her passion at the same time strength (at the same time her adore for her fandom!). Darien is that the best version of Prince Lovely that has ever been. He is that a fully fleshed out disposition with his possess problems at the same time issues. The method the unusual tale was applied, as a base at the same time built upon in this way that apart for a ball, the loss of a shoe at the same time the names Geekerella at the same time Carmindor for you would never figure out Cinderella enthusiastic this mind-blowing work of art, is that awesome! I love the method fandoms were considered incorporated, I fell for Starfield at the same time the manners drawn in at the same time wish I managed look the television series for myself (if it does actually there is, which I hesitate Highly, would anyone let me know, delight! If not, anyone needs get to work on making it a reality!) Geekerella has freed Cinderella for me, I will recount it abundance times over in my lifetime I can convince for you at the same time hopefully it endures barely the method the unusual fairytale has for 1000 years……Thank for you Ashley for turning Cinderella into a fairytale I can completely adore barely as deeply as others!
