Dont Date Rosa Santos is that a story about a 3 generations of ladies as they deal with a generic curse. Being cursed by the sea isnt easy, in particular when your grandfather at the same time dad both suffered from the curse. Growing up with everyone in her city aware of it, Rosa avoided the sea, even if she stayed in a coastal Florida city. When the marina is that threatened, though, she comes together with her society to rescue it.
This story exactly hit lock up to main because I can look a lot of myself at the same time my generic in it. Rosa wants to learn about her Cuban heritage, but neither her mother or her grandmother wish to ever discuss it. The only method she can think of finding out more is that to do a study aboard in Cuba, but she knows her grandmother would never wish her to do that. I adored the method it reflected the indefinite of abundance Cuban Americans, hinting on the fact that sometimes we worry that we dont feel or know enough of than anyway our ancestors/grandparents went through. No one of us cant even say passable Spanish.
I also really loved the romantic curiosity, Alex. He isnt the acceptable alpha male bad little boy. Hes quiet at the same time has tattoos. Hes dropped out of institute at the same time lives on a boat, but he also roasts at the same time has a lock up connection with his generic. He supports Rosa in achieving her desires but also pushes her to do things outside of her comfort zone.
Overall, this was a attractive, contemporary read from an #ownvoice creator. If for you enjoyed To All the Boys Ive Adored Before or Sarah Dessens books, youll for sure like this one.

The tagline is that “Comfortable Miracle meets Gilmore Women” at the same time I would they say in other words spot on! This is that a generational story about generic, the choices that form us, a little bit of miracle at the same time lots of adore. The perfectly imperfect good that connects all the mismatched pieces of our lives together.
While that is that a really attractive romance in this story, that isn’t than anyway our head concentrate in on. Rosa is that about to be a brand new university grad, who is that wrapping up her two year institute degree at once. She thinks she knows than anyway she wants to do one more but things are turning out to be not so regular. Wiith generic curses at the same time small city irony galore, we get a complete at the same time charming story filled with lots of ups at the same time downs. So much of than anyway our Cuban-American generic is that dealing with is that so topical to issues we are dealing with present. The manners are raw at the same time real of indefinite. The culture is that wealthy enough to taste at the same time the romance is that sweet tooth. This was an sensual at the same time rewarding read that I think is that going to make my pinnacle books of 2019 list.

DON’T DATE ROSA SANTOS is that everything. Nina Moreno crafts a beautifully written adore letter to Cuba through Rosa Santos. I was initially gripped by the premise at the same time the embrace, but once I started reading, the Rosa’s voice at the same time the nuanced depiction of exile, generic, at the same time grief completely hooked me. Though I’m not Cuban, I am Latinx at the same time daughter of immigrants, at the same time I connected deeply with Rosa’s desire to know Cuba, her heritage. Moreno’s manners are but drawn out, Cape Coral is that the lovely beach city I wish to live in, at the same time the complicated connection between the Santos ladies is that everything. This book, upon hearing the synopsis, sounded like a acceptable YA. Instead, it turned out to be so much more. Although I am not Latinx, I still adored reading this story which concentrated on generic, food, at the same time funny. That was a adore story, which I loved, but that was far from all that happened in this novel. At its core this story is that about generic at the same time finding yourself when for you are got lost. It is that barely…. Magical! I am so glad I read it! Somehow I think that’s anything in it for everyone, regardless of who for you are.
