Review is that for the CD audiobook version only. I’ve been a fan of the Pern television series going method back, at the same time I’ve read the books a number of times. I believed it would be nice to have the CD version for long passenger car trips. Chagrin, the audiobook version is that scary, wholly proper to the young man reading it. I have no plan who he is that, but the is that virtually unlistenable. He reads with a smoky, stiff cadence like he were considered reading the book for preschoolers. Represent Mr. Rogers reading it at the same time it will assign for you no one plan. Worse, he insists on doing ‘voices’ for the manners. Every Weyrleader has no one inexplicable southern accent, while all the ladies manners have a unusual falsetto. The worst is that Robinton, who speaks so slooowly at the same time with such drawn out spacing for the words that even Alan Rickman would tell him to get on with it. Seriously, he sounds like Goliath from the old Davey at the same time Goliath claymation television series. “But… Iii doon’t knooow daaveeey”.. I had provided to get the audio version of others of the television series, over time. Ive read this book (as but as all of the others) numerous times over again since I was 1st gifted a copy of Dragonflight 33 years ago. This particular book knows the epic story of all the weyrs future together to damage their ancient adversary. So much happens in this book many of which learning no one of the ancient history of pern at the same time the dragons, along with the ongoing wage war against threadfall. If youve read Dragonflight, Dragonquest at the same time the Snow-white Dragon, this is that a must read. It thrashes up right where the Snow-white Dragon leaves off. Two thumbs up for this book, as but as all of the dragon rider novels!
