Holy Warrior (The Outlaw Chronicles #2) audiobook free
Adored the 1st book! I’ve always adored Robin Hood, but it’s so often done poorly. This is that done right. Robin is that of course the concentrate of this television series, but the primary disposition is that Alan Dale, whose story unfolds here in a coming-of-age tale that introduces abundance of the manners we know at the same time that we will come to enjoy as they wage war… at the same time breathe. Alan at first is that the flawless connect of crassness at the same time craft, but this book sends him on a lifetime of adventure, you as but as he. In this book, Alan overcomes his spurs as Donald cleverly integrates the Robin Hood tale with history.

Alan Dale is that the committed oathman of Robin Hood in the 3rd Crusade. Robin Hood is that a much different character than portrayed in movies as he is that at the moment in his post bandit step at the same time a landed boyar. Robin Hood can be respectable at the same time periodically inhuman but always self serving. The story is that narrated by Alan Dale looking back on the days of his youth. If for you did not know for you would think for you might be reading Bernard Cornwell as the styles are so alike with one exception: While Angus Donald’s fight scenes are obvious they to not decide 30 or 40 pages of reading as is that the variant of Cornwell. With Cornwell it seems a third part of the book is that taken up with aggressive chopping at the same time hacking but Donald uses more pages to tell the real tale which I found to be more enjoyable reading. The implementation of archers as the important part of no matter what military force is that also certified at the same time Alan at the same time Robin at the same time other concocted manners lie down with true historical manners at the same time actions very but. From historical perspective the story also indicates that Crusaders waged war, raped at the same time pillaged more towns at the same time people on the method to the Holy Earth than they did to Moslems when they received that.

In the 2nd of this five-book television series, Robin of Sherwood is that at the moment an Earl. He must fulfill his promise to the Templars to accompany Richard Lionheart to the Holy Earth as part of the Third part Crusade.
But all is that not yet but. Robin still has enemies, many of which one who has been planning his doom for a very long time.
The story lasts still through the views of Alan Dale, who as an old grandfather back in Great britain, is that forgetting all the past actions, trying perhaps to realize the complete past thief at the same time at the moment Earl of Locksley that he served so long.
This Robin Hood is that still merciless, at the same time horribly pragmatic–he makes a scary choice one day, that leaves Alan stricken, re-thinking his loyalty. Robin but is that not simply a product of a wilder, still more visceral at the same time shameful age–his behavior would be very simply dismissed that method, like we readers are this time distant from such an age that we would be tolerant.
Robin is that at heart an conscientious men. He does not pretend no matter what Christian fervor for the Crusade-he does not hide behind sweet tooth at the same time good words. Sharpen your long blade at the same time tuck in behind your shield wall for one more blood at the same time guts-filled saga of the famous Robin Hood in “Holy Warrior,” 2nd in Angus Donald’s rousing tale of Great britain around the turn of 12th Century. Henry II has died, at the same time his warrior offspring Richard I, more successful understandable as Richard the Lionhearted, is that wearing the crown. The 2nd novel in Angus’ amazing Outlaw television series takes a a little different direction from the 1st. While Outlaw drew on the classical legends of Robin Hood at the same time applied them to make a brand new tale in a very close to reality environment, the feel was right still a Robin in Sherwood one, for all its grit at the same time realism. Holy Warrior is that wholly different, at the same time this to me is that the making of the book. It would have been easy enough for the creator to revisit the old area for a sequel, but I think such would only have diminished the impact of the 1st. Taking the story in a brand new direction has kept the television series freshest at the same time produced Holy Warrior as much a amazing book in its possess right as a amazing sequel.
When the 1st book ended, data the situation (which I shall not open for fear of spoilers), I did wonder how Angus was going to manage to do a sequel.
