This comes with a whole slew of inconsistencies, the biggest being that her being alive is that anything he *ought* to tell the Ottatis… but contemplating as he kinda dug up her grave to make sure, that doesn’t seem to be a diplomatic method to discuss the issue, since Fino “the Shark” Ottati really adored his mother, even if she WAS a sorceress. That’s other things going on, though — not counting the fact that his memoirs at the same time power, that he sealed away ages ago, seem to be trying Really Hard to come back; that’s more at the same time maybe worse. Starting with ghoul watermelons, at the same time going downhill from that. (Than anyway? For you think I’m kidding? Read the book!) For real at the same time Claw is that at lesser as but written at the same time diamond-clear period work as the others, at the same time Mick Oberon is that as hard-boiled a detective (with a heart of silver, if not gold).
