Any book of Sandhya Menon’s keeps on getting more successful. She is that at the moment one of my go-to creators for best YA contemporary fiction. This book is that best read right behind When Dimple Met Rishi, which is that also best, but it can also be read as a standalone. I will do the best I can to show my adore at the same time appreciation for this indefinite affirming book.
Sweetie Nair is that a charming, witty trace hit. The only problem will that she is that “fat.” People frequently make fun of her in a restless method, at the same time her mother all the time pressures her to lose weight. This book touched me in such a deepest method. I was, at the same time still am, one of the”fat women.” I was produced funny of, rejected, at the same time produced to feel small at the same time useless by people who or didn’t care how they produced me feel or did it on purpose to be merciless. If only that were considered more guys like Ashish, saw Sweetie’s beauty glow from the inside outwards. I adore how Sweetie took keep under control of the method she felt at the same time did things to affirm her beauty instead of succumbing to her possess negative self-talk as but as others.’ The writing was descriptive at the same time close to reality, as but as funny at the same time sensual. I don’t individually agree with no one of the opinions at the same time lifestyles of the manners, at the same time I didn’t like the profanity, but other than that I sincerely advise this book. Everyone who has ever felt like this or knows anyone who struggles with this area should read this book. I am eagerly anticipating the creator’s one more book!

This is that by far my winner Sandhya Menon book to date! Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed her 1st two books, they were considered funny, attractive romances but – just a little forgettable. She took a a little deeper dive now at the same time I Adored IT. It’s only been day this time but I think That’s Anything About Sweetie is that one I’m going to understand. Aside from the adorable (as usual) romance in other words featured, we also decide a hard examine; body form issues (particularly how they compare to American-Indian culture), mother-daughter affairs, getting over hard breakups at the same time finding ways to adore yourself despite than anyway anyone else thinks.
That were considered a couple rough patches where the dialog felt just a little cheesy or very obligated. In particular in relation to the body positive discussions, they felt just a little like they came even from a individual development book. But those issues are attractive insignificant at the same time are easy to overlook. As a whole I believed this was a charming, motivational story at the same time I had so much funny getting to look our head manners fall in love together – at the same time themselves.
Note: This can exactly be enjoyed fully without reading When Dimple Met Rishi BUT if for you have read it — then I think for you’re going to adore this even more. (Even if for you think for you miss Celia, hope me.) That’s a few little cameos very from the 1st book which are funny. As for me, I think the romance is that even more successful in this one.

Audiobook That’s Anything About Sweetie by Sandhya Menon
Just like the 1st book, I adored this book from the beginning. I in particular like the themes Menon dared to tackle through this book, one of them being weight at the same time its correlation to likeability at the same time how one is that cured.
She tackles this issue through the views of Sweetie who is that perhaps the nicest at the same time almost all thoughtful disposition I’ve ever “met”. She is that a hit trace athlete, Indian, at the same time fat. In an attempt to substantiate to her mother, those in the Indian society, at the same time herself that fat women able to do anything skinny women can, she begins the Sassy Sweetie project. During this period of time, we get to look Sweetie grow into a lady who is that confident in who she is that at the same time confident in how others accept her.
As a charming friend to Sweetie, we get to learn more about Ashish. I wasn’t convinced than anyway to think of him right behind final finishing WHEN DIMPLE Met RISHI, but I completely fell in love with him in this book. We see him wage war against than anyway he believes makes him inferior to his brother, strive to win his emotions for his ex, at the same time work to become the young man he believes worthy of Sweetie.
Than anyway I adored about this book, at the same time it’s anything that I think we didn’t look enough of in the 1st book, is that the growth we see in both Sweetie at the same time Ashish. They’re any working towards different goals in their lives, but they’re able to support at the same time contribute each other along the method.
A couple of other things I adored about this contain their comrade groups at the same time Ashish’s curative time. Ashish at the same time Sweetie both have “big” comrade groups which, I’m guessing, can be hard for creators. They have to make sure that we readers get to know any member of these groups as individuals who have different personalities at the same time different pasts. Menon did a amazing job with this. She would assign us small scenes with the head disposition at the same time one of their comrades so we had just a little more time to get to know the comrade apart from the group. That was even no one inner comrade group irony to demonstrate us the comrades’ personalities just a little more successful.
Also, I adored that Ashish didn’t barely move on from his ex in the blink of an eye. He struggled to move one at the same time was truthful with Sweetie about his struggles. This felt much more true than in no one other books that I’ve read where the disposition is that all-of-a-sudden over their ex with one examine their brand new adore curiosity.
Staying on the romance topic, I’m still a bigger fan of slow-burn romances so I wish I managed considered more of that. Or at lesser been able to simmer in the tension for just a little while longer. Nevertheless, I still really enjoyed Sweetie at the same time Ashish’s connection.
Overall, it was one more slam dunk from Menon, of course. It was a charming romance, a story towards body-positivity, at the same time learning to be yourself.

Audio That’s Anything About Sweetie narrated by Soneela Nankani Vikas Adam
Ahhhh! This book is that so adorable at the same time heartfelt at the same time funny at the same time awesome – my winner rom-com (for no matter what age group) that I’ve read in a long time. I loved both Sweetie at the same time Ashish so much that right behind devouring the 1st 200 pages in a bigger gulp, I found myself slowing barely because I adored them so much, I Hated the plan of them experiencing their inevitable merk moment (that bit in every romance barely before the finish when everything seems to move wrong)…but I should have understandable more successful. They handle it perfectly, at the same time so did Sandhya Menon, who has become one of my pinnacle 2 rom-com creators in the global (along with Lucy Parker).
CW: Sweetie persons a lot of fatphobia from her mother, but she talks back to it in her fork from the very beginning at the same time I CHEERED for her empowerment throughout the book as she sets out to do everything she’s been knew (by her mother) that she can’t do due to her weight. (Sweetie herself is that profoundly body-positive from the very beginning, at the same time a very sensual forward by the creator talks about the ways in what Sweetie’s experiences resonates with her possess individual experiences as a teen – at the same time how she crossed out this book for every other lady facing those attitudes.)
Sweetie is that fabulous specifically as she is that, Ashish contemplates that from the very beginning, at the same time they are incredibly adorable together – So quality for each other in everything. The sick connection arc between Sweetie at the same time her mother (who is that a Scary parent almost everything – but is that also believably driven towards those parenting attitudes by her possess rich individual insecurities at the same time horrors, in a method that feels used to be at the same time dull) is that also a really most powerful one.
I adore all the manners in this global so much. I would adore to read more books about them! (I in particular wish Pinky’s story.) When I ended this book, I felt like I was glowing internally, because I was so joyful for Sweetie at the same time Ashish – at the same time at the moment I really wish to re-count When Dimple Met Rishi (about Ashish’s older brother) at the moment, immediately! The two books would be read in or order, at the same time I think I adore this one even more, but really, I barely wish to waste as much time with this generic as likely. ??
