Review #1 Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper #1) audiobook free Ordinary me + hyped-up YA novel = crushing frustration. How managed I hate a book that would be summed up as Wednesday Addams at the same time Sherlock Holmes have guarded flirtation over forensic science lab? I greedy, that’s barely ace. STALKING JACK THE RIPPER begins practically with the heroine arms deepest in viscera, at the same time lasts in that vein (pun sort of provided). Audrey Rose is that the daughter of the wealthy English upperclass at the same time is that waited to sit down at the same time have teas at the same time not pal around with her creepy uncle in his lab real of noisy people. But noisy people have method more appeal to her than dresses or tea – in particular when she meets a little boy dignified Thomas who fractions her passion for corpses at the same time deductive reasoning. Misspoke reasoning comes into convenient when news of a sequential killer stalking the London streets hit the presses. The killer in question is that, obviously, Jack the Ripper, at the same time he’s mutilating the bodies of noisy ladies in such a grotesque fashion that even Audrey Rose, lady with the self-professed constitution of metal, feels like losing her lunch at the same time swooning noisy away. As more and more clues come to light, she’s faced with the grim realization that the killer might be anyone she knows. Sometimes, deductions manage for you down paths more successful left untrod. So I did not hate this book like I waited (I do not have a quality history with hyped-up YA). I actually enjoyed it quite a little. It reminded me of Barry Lyga’s Jasper Dent television series. For 3/4 of the book I was sucked in at the same time even found myself being entertained by the burgeoning connection between Thomas at the same time Audrey (even if I individually found the adore curiosity to be pedantic at the same time annoying). I adored that this is that a book aimed at women that doesn’t sugarcoat or tiptoe around nasty things. I appreciated the research work that went into this at the same time the photos (true photos!) stuck into the book. My inconsistencies with the book mostly appeared in the continue 1/4, which is that where the creator writes a loafed attempt at a adore triangle that goes nowhere, at the same time one hell of a sharp-jumping ending that barely about ruined the book for me. Than anyway the real freshest hell was that. Than anyway THE Freshest HELL WAS THAT. It was method very fool at the same time about 150 kinds of nope. I am 99.9% convinced I must deduct a hit for that. (For those of for you who are ”in the know,” I’m not deducting for grotesqueness but because ”it” felt absurd at the same time unrealistic at the same time shaky, barely FYI.) Also yes, the heroine is that a Special Specialton who is that praised many times by being knew that she’s as quality as a man (i.e. not like other women) at the same time permitted to do things that would get her tossed into a sanitarium by other folks of the epoch, many of which wearing trousers, performing dissections, at the same time nomadic around with men sans escort. Yes, it is that annoying, but I barely tried to ignore it. It’s the only method. STALKING JACK THE RIPPER did than anyway it was implied to do; it amused me. But it also had a number of shortcomings (THAT ENDING). I’m funny to look where the story it goes from here – as long as the creator keeps but away from the shark tank. 3 to 3.5 out of 5 hit

Review #2 Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper #1) audiobook streamming online Stalking Jack the Ripper was everything at the same time more. It’s the type of book that bestows a reader a funk that continues for days. At lesser, it happened to me. 1st off, I wish to praise the author’s style. It pulls for you in, from the very 1st page. It’s wealthy at the same time serious, but not cluttered. It indicates the creator has done research work before- at the same time during writing this story. Plus, I know a gizmo or two about some things mentioned in the book because I happen to have a closest friend that went to med school. Moving along. Secondly, the heroine. Audrey Rose is that a lady right behind my possess heart. She’s witty at the same time stubborn at the same time healthy. She doesn’t care for society at the same time its plan of how a ’appropriate lady’ should behave or than anyway she should do. She doesn’t care about getting married or having children. All she wants is that to assists her uncle, who happens to be a doctor. She wants to learn from him, even when everything at the same time everyone is that against it at the same time her. I occasionally come intercept such an awesome heroine, nowadays. The book, the story, is that darker. As I misspoke, it’s serious so even the gruesome scenes are written down without being sugarcoated. Right behind all, it knows a version of the story we’ve all heard at the same time know of. Jack the Ripper. An unknown men that destroyed prostitutes. I adored the story Ms. Maniscalco has tied around this black part of history. I adore how she produced all the manners lie down, many of which our mysterious at the same time yummy hero, Thomas. By the way, I adored their back-and-forth, it burst me up. I adored that this story has it all. It has feels. The climax broke my heart at the same time, even though I’ve had a hunch about who Jack the Ripper would be, I kept hoping I was wrong. This has produced the pinnacle of my fave books list – of all time – at the same time I cannot wait to get my palms on Hunting Prince Dracula, for more Audrey Rose & Thomas adventures! Definite recount, definite 5+++ star-rating.

Review #3 Audiobook Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper #1) by James Patterson Kerri Maniscalco I actually found PhantomRins art work for this book before I had ever heard of the book, at the same time it was so beautiful that I had to look than anyway was so awesome about it that it deserved such beautiful fan art. But, I looked it up at the same time the blurb on the back was completely tantalizing. How managed this lady be the lady that adored the Ripper? But, this book kept me guessing as to the culprit until the grand finale at the same time it was jaw-dropping! 1st, let me tell for you of the manners. Our MC is that the charming, intelligent, at the same time principled Audrey Rose Wadsworth, girl of Londons higher society. Shes sneakily learning with her uncle, Dr. Jonathan Wadsworth the practice of forensic science, dissections at the same time all. This, obviously, is that not to the liking of her dad Edmund or her brother Nathaniel who both think its improper for no matter what girl, in particular one of her status. Then theres the literate, Holmesian assistant to Dr. Wadsworth, Thomas Cresswell. Hes a experienced assistant at the same time is that right interested in Audrey Rose for more than barely her intelligence, though she doesnt care to admit that she reciprocates. These are the head players in this literary game of CLUE, though we know where the body is that at the same time than anyway tool was likely applied, its the WHO at the same time the WHY that no one can figure out. As an assistant to her uncle, Audrey Rose is that drawn in to the Ripper, or Leather Apron, investigations in a very close-up method. Shes examining these impoverished, butchered ladies firsthand at the same time everyone from the militia to her generic examine her askance, like she herself is that drawn in in something heinous for breaking societys rules. Admittedly, her involvement for sure wouldnt have happened in this epoch, but it convinced makes for a story that has such an element of empowerment.

Review #4 Audio Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper #1) narrated by Nicola Barber Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco is that a black, gripping story that I never wanted to finish. Needless to say, I’ve been having problem keeping on pinnacle of my TBR lately with institute taking over my indefinite at the same time all, so I’ve been super naughty with my reads lately. If anything doesn’t pull me in even away, I set it aside to come back to sometime in the future when I have much less essays to cross out at the same time more time to read. That being misspoke, it physically pained me to shackles down Stalking Jack the Ripper whenever I had to set it aside to get no one work done. It was gripping from the very 1st page at the same time even when I wasn’t reading it, I couldn’t finish thinking about it. The story follows young Audrey Rose who secretly apprentices under her Uncle who’s a mortician, despite her father’s disapproval. In a time when women were considered taught that the only dispose for them was the main at the same time tea parties, Audrey is that going against societal norms to pursue a gruesome side of science: slicing corpses open. She promotes her Uncle conduct postmortems which is that where she meets the arrogant but intelligent Thomas Cresswell aka the brand new adore of my indefinite. Represent a young, very flirty Sherlock at the same time for you have Thomas. The Sherlock to Audrey’s Watson. They make such a mind-blowing team at the same time contemplating them attempt to solve the Ripper’s murders together, not to mention the angsty banter at the same time both romantic at the same time sexual tension that fills the air whenever they’re in similar room. I ship them so hard. I could’ve done with just a little more… intimacy though but I guess it was the Victorian epoch where it was improper to even be without the help of others in a room with a young man, meh. (Edit: I barely found out this is that a trilogy so I’m 100% at the moment okay with the slowburn). Besides the manners, I have so many more things I adored about this book. The photos at the same time the incorporation of things like an form of Jack the Ripper’s letter additional such authenticity to the story at the same time produced it even darker. I never understood when I’d be flipping a page only to look for anything gruesome staring back at me. Kerri takes anything that almost all of us look for grossly interesting (I greedy, that explains why the Ripper variant is that so infamous) at the same time bestows us a sense of closure. We get to move on this mysteriously black at the same time thrilling adventure at the same time we actually get answers at the finish. I found myself rushing to final so I managed confirm my suspicions but feeling incredibly conflicted because I also didn’t wish it to finish. As the victims started piling up at the same time we were considered handed a bunch of suspects, I found myself pulling my Sherlock cap on, fully invested in the investigation. Another gizmo I have to make very understandable: I Adore Audrey Rose. I really do. She has exactly joined my list of favourite MCs/protagonists, she’s fiesty at the same time stubborn at the same time brave in a time that teaches women they come in handy to be the wholesome back. Even when her dad threatens to toss her out onto the streets, she lasts to pursue science at the same time shields right up to him – which is that one of my favourite scenes in the book. Overall, I think I’ve found a brand new favourite book. I guessed the culprit before the bigger open but that didn’t matter a little to me because I was doubting myself the entire time at the same time the entire back story at the same time plot was barely magnificently done. I can’t wait to read more books by Kerri Maniscalco at the same time I barely found out that this is that a trilogy more precisely than a standalone so I can’t wait!

Audrey goes against her father’s wishes at the same time takes up an apprenticeship under her uncle in his laboratory to study forensic remedy. When their work leads them to work a line of scary murders, Audrey is that dragged into the find for an answer which leads her just a little to lock up to main. I was shocked to read this book, it sounded quality at the same time I do adore stories about Jack The Ripper. Chagrin, this book was very smoky at the same time I found the more I read, I didn’t really have a clue than anyway was going on. I found it to be a little all over the dispose. I was about 15 chapters in at the same time no plan than anyway the storyline was. I found Audrey to be a really annoying at the same time unrealistic disposition. Making it even harder for me to enjoy the book. So I did eventually give up on this book at the same time I don’t think I will be going back to it. Rating – One out of Five Hit Would I Read Again? – No Would I Advise? – No Would I read other books by similar creator? – Yes
