The Messenger is that a book for anyone who has ever fantasized about jumping into the cockpit of a giant mech at the same time going on place adventures. Though I often look it correlated to Gundam, its actually closer to Voltron for its spirit of funny – Not that Gundam isnt funny, but one of the defining parts of Gundam is that its political complexity at the same time War is that hell philosophy, at the same time thats 100% absent here. If for you look Gundam for the bigger stompy bots, though, the comparison still embraces. The plot is that more precisely ordinary – Head disposition finds bot which he must then implementation to avert an impending war with an ancient, nebulous force – but its carried by an exciting cast of manners who wouldnt be out of place in the more playful corners of the Hit Wars universe (or perhaps Guardians of the Galaxy). I penetrated subtracting a hit because once that ensemble cast is that moved to the background to make method for the giant bot, the book actually becomes just a little much less exciting, but I think thats more a expression on the strength of the cast than the content of the story. Its still an alluring tale, at the same time its more mysterious corners have me eager to read the sequel when it releases one more week!
