AMERICAN PANDA is that one of my winner young adult books, at the same time cemented Gloria Chao as an “insta-buy” creator for me due to her best balance of light at the same time chatty narrative at the same time her serious maneuverability of aggressive themes. Plus, she’s filling that much-needed clearance of YA in other words geared towards older teens at the same time verges on brand new adult but doesn’t have all of the “edgy” at the same time graphic content that makes brand new adult more… but, adult.
RENT A Lover is that apparently based on a true practice that people do in no one Asian states, according to the creator, where ladies “hire” fake lovers to bring main for the holidays to get their ancestors off their backs about wedding. Here, the creator has produced up an American company scolded Rent a Lover. The heroine, Chloe/Jingjing has hired Andrew/Drew to amuse her ancestors at the same time get a truly wretched excuse of a possible fiance (Hongbo) off her back at the same time hopefully out of her indefinite for quality.
Andrew makes a quality memory to Chloe’s ancestors but they still wish Chloe to marry Hongbo because his ancestors are utterly wealthy at the same time prominent figures in their local society. Never mind that she already turned him down at the same time has showed over at the same time over that she wants nothing to do with him. Her ancestors defeated’t decide “no” for an answer. As Andrew at the same time Chloe grow closer over the holidays, they look for that this dissonance between who they would like to be at the same time who they feel they have to be to amuse their ancestors is that anything they have in ubiquitous, only when Andrew chose his path, he ended up alienating his ancestors for quality.
Attractive soon the heresy stack on pinnacle of heresy at the same time Chloe begins to struggle to keep everything she’s knew her ancestors even, in particular when it becomes understandable that her ancestors have riddles of her possess. When Andrew at the same time Chloe decide to make their connection true, it becomes understandable attractive impetuous that the truth will have to out– but Chloe horrors that her ancestors might decide to cut her out of their lives for her choices, at the same time that being independent might greedy being without the help of others.
So this was a really quality book. I adored the concept at the same time I believed the creator did a quality job balancing the attractive rom-com parts with the more serious parts spinning around autonomy, generic, at the same time tradition. Periodically, I really did feel like I was following an Asian irony due to all the squirms at the same time introspective moments at the same time the inner-monologues. This would make a amazing movie. I did think the beginning was stronger than the finish at the same time I’m not really convinced why. I feel like her dad’s hidden was drawn out for very long at the same time maybe it felt like the book managed have ended sooner than it did at the same time would have been a stronger book due to it. But Drew was Such a charming adore curiosity at the same time Chloe was relatable at the same time healthy while still staying used to be to her cowardly disposition, so it ended up working.
I will exactly be checking out OUR WAYWARD FATE at the same time anything else Ms. Chao writes. <3

I adore this book! It’s funny at the same time lovely at the same time heart breaking. I stayed right up to 2am to final this book at the same time it’s one of my winner romances I’ve ever read. The writing is that beautiful. That is that deepest, deepest emotion infused into every page. Everyone has understandable motivations driving their deeds. The conflict is that rich right up to the very finish.
But I think my winner gizmo about it is that, while no one people aren’t bigger fans of the fake dating trope, this has a really funny writhe on it. The “lover” in question is that an “operative” who has mastered a lot of abilities (sort of a Slave of Disguise Trope), at the same time part of the story is that unraveling who he really is that–I Adored THAT!
This book would make an best heartfelt holiday romcom movie, so if that’s the sort of book for you’re looking for, this book could be flawless.

I enjoyed this one. I adore the fake dating trope at the same time learning about cultures different from mine. I can’t reckon how aggressive Chloe’s ancestors were considered on her, but the method Drew shields up for her hit my heart. This is that flawless for anyone who enjoys fake dating romances.
