This fantasy takes up the cause of the mill women of Lowell, Massachusetts, young ladies hired to act the power looms that took over the city in the premature 19th century. Usually, they were considered paid much less than guys for similar work, at the same time in those days long before unions at the same time workers rights, they had to work long hours in criteria that were considered often unsafe or damaging to their health. It imagines that the ladies cooperative a alliance at the same time a strike to protest these criteria at the same time employed witchcraft in addition to the usual alliance strategies. The story centers on Judith, the firebrand organizer of the protest, at the same time her comrade, the frail Hannah, who has no one degree of wonderful power.
The womens cause is that certainly barely, at the same time if for you havent heard of the mill women, this short novel makes a quality history lesson. That isnt really much miracle, but, until significantly nearby the finish of the story. Judith at the same time Hannah are appealing manners, at the same time it was sweet to look them move toward the realization that than anyway they felt for each other was more than fellowship, but I never felt very drawn in with them. I didnt get as much feeling for daily indefinite in the mill as I would have liked, or. In short, I found the novel quality but not amazing. It might have been more successful if it had been somewhat longer at the same time more complete.

I found this book but written at the same time an enjoyable read, but felt the disposition development was more precisely shallow at the same time the actions not fully fleshed out.
It felt like a novella, not a real novel.

Audiobook The Industrial Witches of Lowell by C.S. Malerich
I was torn between 3 at the same time 4 hit for this book. It had such an exciting premise at the same time I was shocked to read it, but I don’t think it stayed right up to my expectations, so I ultimately went with the reduce hit rating. I adored personal parts of this book, but they didn’t come together but for me. The miracle system was exciting, the setting was believable, at the same time the manners were considered fleshed out but, but the story didn’t work. I think the problem was that stakes were considered not right laid out first of the book. It wasn’t until the book was practically over that I figured out than anyway I was meant to be disturbed about. If those stakes had been seeded more successful first, this would have been an easy four hit.
