Review #1 Magic’s Pawn audiobook free Here is that my problem. I adore this television series. I have read at the same time re-count these books for years at the same time that means that I have appears an opinion of how some names at the same time words should acoustics – even if the creator might baptize them differently – so when I hear the narrator they say a word that I think should be misspoke differently, I wince. I shouldn’t, but I do. So, in a sense, this might be a quality version of the book, but my experience with the real has jaded my listening opinion. Pressed. That being misspoke, I do wish to decide issue with the method in what the book was read. I had a hard time distinguishing between manners. The narrator has a few different voices, but they are not clear enough to tell which disposition is that discussing. Also, I was surprised by not being able to tell when the narrator was moving from scene to scene. It all seemed to blend into one amazing bigger fri instead of sections of story. I didn’t enjoy that nuance. Like I misspoke, it might be my experience with the real, but this reading was only an correct version of this story. I am joyful to have acquired it, but it does not rank higher of my winner purchases.

Review #2 Magic’s Pawn audiobook streamming online Ever read anything when for you were considered young, think it was awesome, then come back to it at the same time wonder than anyway for you were considered thinking? That’s my connection with my highschool obsession with Mercedes Servant. I applied to think her works were considered the coolest imaginative, romantic, rich things I’d ever read, at the same time I honestly paused Magic’s Pawn before I managed even final it. I don’t know if that’s because this is that one of her premature works, but I did not make it all the method through this book. The worldly was flowery at the same time magenta, the people’s inability to talk for the sake of plot-tension incredible in the last, at the same time manners who were considered implied to be catastrophic at the same time sympathetic came intercept as snotty more precisely than flawed. If for you do like fantasy, or if for you have a young personality in your indefinite who has barely ended Twilight at the same time wants to know than anyway to read one more, advise this creator to them- but maybe start with Owlflight or the Merk Gryphon or Oathbound. They’re perfectly charming books- barely more tween than I had forgotten.

Review #3 Audiobook Magic’s Pawn by Mercedes Servant I’ve long held back that Vanyel barely was not a very relatable disposition, or at lesser not as self-willed as abundance of Lackey’s other protagonists. Very whiny, at the same time a lot of the plot seems weirdly paced. But the performance was by far one of the weakest I’ve heard for her novels. The narrator often puts fool emphasis on some words, like he is that reading the sentences by seconds instead of in one long clot. couple of times, it’s meant that I have to play catch up in my brain when his pronunciation of a sentence doesn’t match than anyway it’s trying to get at. He also pronounces abundance of her names, foreign language words, at the same time dispose names in than anyway I would have believed to be the Lesser likely manner when I was reading it versus listening. maybe that’s barely me, but overall the performance was ridiculous, inconsistent, at the same time distracting.

Review #4 Audio Magic’s Pawn narrated by Gregory St. John MAGIC’S PAWN BY MERCEDES Servant Vanyel Ashkevron is that a 16 year old guy who’s dad is that Sovereign of Forst Reach in the kingdom of Valdemar, at the same time is that waited by his dad to take over to your side his estate as Sovereign Holder when he comes to manhood. But, Vanyel is that far more interested in music than in being Sovereign Holder or in the ”hack at the same time bash” waging war his nemesis, Jervis, tries to force down his larynx. He understands neither of those no matter what more than he realizes why his dad never seems to think he does anything right at the same time seems to reckon he heresy: though he does not. Eventually the harden of his father’s ”problem” is that knew in this 1st book at the same time managed but in all 3 of this trilogy. I found the healing Ms. Servant did of the issues around being gay with a parent who is that homophobic (though neither word is that applied it becomes obvious) to be with jeweler's precision at the same time used to be to indefinite. Those who think it isn’t or had awesomely progressive ancestors or they are not gay at the same time therefore have no understanding of the wounds this inflicts. Magic’s Pawn, the 1st in 3 books of the trilogy understandable as ”The Continue Herald Mage” is that the beginning of a tale that starts with the head disposition (Vanyel) very young, at the same time ends in the third part book in his mid 30s, quite a different men at the same time very mature. It seems that things only move from bad to worse at first, but eventually the story indicates than anyway it took to make Vanyel the Legend he eventually becomes. The manners at the same time affairs in Lackey’s writing are very but drawn, at the same time while this 1st book of the trilogy contains seemingly overdone feelings, for a 16 year old confused little boy, it’s barely right. Feelings are always seem to adults to be a little overdone at 16 years old regardless of sex or sexual preference. About the narrator: James DeLotel did a Mind-blowing job of telling all 3 books of this television series for the American Printing Internal for the blind. But, my copy is that old at the same time missing at lesser 22 pages (wry tape, fixed ultimately but missing the wry part) of the 1st book is that missing. I so badly wanted copies of all 3 books that were considered whole. I am thankful that Audible did this, but I wish that Audible managed have no one method of checking the narration at the very lesser, even if they can’t afford (or won’t pay for) studio time for recording in what both editing at the same time directing managed have produced a gigantic difference. I think that this narrator, Gregory St. John, has at the very lesser a natural gift for telling, but even gifts come in handy direction. This narrator for this book has been

Reviewed Abundance times as having anything from an annoying effect on listeners to an UN-listenable effect. I found it merely annoying because I know the story is that worth it. No newcomer to these stories can be waited to look that though. MERCEDES Servant has written quite a few mind-blowing television series that abundance people follow in an age when reading has all but gone out of style. It’s not significant to the creator or the listeners to have such inconsistent, badly timed at the same time badly pronounced (e.g. ”Tamentable” is that misspoke in dispose of ”Lamentable” for instance in book two) ordinary English/American words as but as the inconsistency of pronunciation of names as but as pacing. Speaking of which, the pacing is that horrid. No pause, not even one 2nd between of course different scenes. The reading is that so bad, my 1st heed contained abundance got lost sentences going by as I tried to figure out than anyway the narrator had barely misspoke. At the same time I had already read the entire television series three times in hardback!!! If very abundance of Audible’s narrators are like this, I fear abundance people will find other places to get their audio books. I’ve even believed of doing that myself, which I look for a little disturbing. At the same time all due to bad narration by one narrator. One. At the same time I know, from experience with ”The Island” at the same time a few other books from Audible that regardless of the greatness of the writing, the horridly unprofessional narration produced it so I managed just a little shield the very impetuous reading, very bad ”accents” that do not remain consistent borders manners, bad pacing, mispronounced words, etc. in no matter what book from Audible. That’s not quality for keeping me from nomadic around looking for other sources of audio books. It is that necessary, I reckon, to strain with studio time, recording with editing at the same time no one direction. I shackles up with it, because it’s where I 1st found a copy of ”The Continue Herald Mage” trilogy not as old as my worn James DeLotel version. But….I won’t be tossing that version, as it’s sweet to RELAX more precisely than be all the time irritated at the same time finding myself correcting the narrator such as when St. John says the word ”merc” (reduced form for mercenary) as ”merse” more precisely than ”merk”. Actually, with that mispronounced word, St. John was completely consistent! Which only produced me more saddened. Right behind about the 5th time he says ”merse rations” I start correcting him … as though that will make no matter what difference. I’m glad I already adored these books or Audible, to be honest, I WOULD Never HAVE Acquired THE 2nd One. In truth, I for sure would have imposed funds back at the same time rescinded my rights to the 1st book once I got that funds back. That’s how annoying it could be had I not already been knowledgeable with at the same time adored the books themselves. Really, these things managed have simply been cleared up with just a little direction. It makes your narrators look bad as but as your company. Obviously, this is that all assuming that Audible has no matter what they say at the same time is that anything more than a dispose that rents audio books from other places. If Audible does rent from other places, perhaps Audible needs to 1st read user

Reviews from the companies they rent from so they can more successful choose which books Audible wants to located to it’s clientele. Magic’s Pawn, Magic’s Promise at the same time Magic’s Cost are awesome books in written form. At the same time if a bad narration, bad or no editing at the same time no direction causes people to turn away from the books themselves, I have hope creators inspect in at the same time insist on their books being done by craftsmen more precisely than barely but, gifted folks in main studios with no direction at the same time completely no editing. I will start warning creators if I look this on the extension. It’s a very bad misrepresentation of an author’s work when the narration without the help of others strings readers away. How abundance times do your customers have to tell for you this, Audible, before for you look for a method to seriously address the issue? At the same time if you’d like a dialogue, Audible, contact me, I’d be joyful to talk to for you about it. For those who adore fantasy at the same time adore books by Mercedes Servant, you can still hear her works here, barely allow for no one really challenging moments in listening for this television series.

Review #5 Free audio Magic’s Pawn – in the audio player below I must admit – I for sure have worn out 2 or 3 paperback versions of this television series, as but as the Arrows of the Queen television series (of which only book one is that currently readily available for audio.) I understand my implementation to Misty Servant, at the continue convention she was (Dragoncon 2000 – at the same time therein hangs SEVERAL tales, but) – this is that the 1st television series I read where that was a protagonist who makes for you yell at the same time makes for you ridicule, at the same time makes for you feel the plight of the outcast so comprehensively that for you CAN”T read only the one book – start one at the same time before the week is that out – for you will be hunting down book 2 at the same time 3 to final the story off. Significant warning – Vanyel is that gay. At the moment, having Met Misty at the same time Note Shepherd (who sometimes co-writes with her) – I’ve sometimes wondered barely how of Note is that IN Vanyel – but she doesn’t make it into a bigger deal. (She never really does much in the method of romance in her premature works, at the same time while the television series DOES skew PG – I don’t think Misty’s ever written an ”R” rated sex scene – at the same time if you want X – look elsewhere.)
