While not awful, it isn’t similar.
But, it was a brand new story…written by the Offspring, not Anne. *sigh* It wasn’t bad, though I think he gets bits muddled up. For example, to my recollection in Dragon’s Dawn Wind Blossom is that Kitty Pings granddaughter, all through this book he countries that Kitty was her mother. At the same time, he also says that threads eats plastic. Uh, no it doesn’t, or all those houses at Landing would have been eaten up, at the same time the plastic hulled ships at the same time the docks they built. Attractive much almost all of than anyway was rooted at the Southern Mainland was plastic!

Dragonsblood audiobook in television series Unusual Dragonriders of Pern (abridged)
The 1st time I read this book, I was seriously confused. Perhaps I read very impetuous, but the two interweaving plotlines (50 AL at the same time 500 AL) with the year numbers being so identical (both starting with 5), at the same time the Weyrleader names (M’hall at the same time M’tal) being So identical produced this a hard read the 1st time. At first I believed it had been barely one of the mystery name-changes (like T’ton to T’ron). Add to that the *hundreds* of disposition at the same time dragon names at the same time the hundreds of deaths, when I ended the book, I couldn’t pick it up again for over a year. That was very little satisfaction in the end (for you *understood* they would look for a cure), although that are the times when loose ends get sheathed up at the same time make me smirk (D’gan’s weyrling offspring who didn’t visualize his destination at the same time ended up entombed with his dragon in decent grin, found by F’lar’s generation at the same time mentioned when F’lar was 1st edification Lessa to fly).
Our heroine Lorana, whose deeds should have ranked her right up that with Lessa, Moreta, et al, was So shallowly drawn that she enthusiastic very little hostility from the reader (this reader, what). So much MORE managed have been done. I would like to have figured out *much* more about M’hall (old offspring of the 1st dragonriders/Weyrleaders Sean at the same time Sorka!) at the same time Torene, but the past is that poorly drawn at the same time the latter is that practically non-existent ??
That misspoke, I barely read the book for the 2nd time, right behind learning at the same time making notes so I would understand who was in what time, at the same time it really *was* a quality story which was why I gave it 3 hit. I can’t describe than anyway is that wrong, but Anne somehow produced for you Adore or Hate the major manners of all her books, while Todd barely seems to shortcoming that whatever-it-is that promotes for you adore Lessa (as cranky/acerbic as she was periodically ;)) while Lorana elicits a sort of “Meh.” So much managed have been done with a lady who can gather the power of all the dragons of Pern at the same time get an significant message (“Air!”) back to Wind Blossom 400 years in the past!! An awesome lady who managed survive the doom of her queen dragon at the same time move on in fact like nothing had happened!!
The affairs that managed have been exciting were considered *sour* (M’tal/Salina) – perhaps I’ve barely been spoiled by Lessa & F’lar or F’nor at the same time Brekke ?? Maybe the relationship-stuff needs to be written by a lady ;D
Spoiler alert: I *did* yell at the finish when Tullea gave Lorana back her heirloom that she’d greedily snagged from the Learning Rooms, at the same time freed herself (Tullea) a little, but it was only a few paragraphs. Even though the book was over 400 pages, it managed have been fleshed out more deeply. I have really enjoyed the “filler” books – not a put-down – I greedy the books that fill in parts of Pern’s history (“The Dolphins of Pern,” etc), at the same time I really have hope that a) Todd grows his wings, or b) Anne promotes him out at the same time they co-author.
Corrected: I hadn’t heard that Anne has ran over on. So much for have hope b) ??

That are moments in this book where for you feel like for you’re back in Pern. Chagrin those moments are few at the same time overpowered by moments where for you wonder if Todd has ever read the earlier books.
By rehashing a plague as a major story line (at the same time intercept several books more) we get superfluous conspiracies at the same time carbon copy manners. Not to mention inconsistencies with epic actions getting forgotten in a relatively short period of time. Moreta has no one epic time take a trip as part of the plot, still the wide time take a trip done in this book is that completely forgotten in the weyrs by then. Wouldn’t a plague that practically wipes out the dragons become part of weyr lore? The ninth pass books also frequently hinge on a trip in time to “make” inconsistencies, still no one knows anything about the (wide) past history of time take a trip. That should be a reason why it goes from ubiquitous to so rare it’s counted legend/myth.
In addition, knowledge about how long would it decide to repopulate the weyrs (many of which trips in time) right behind a plague should become integrated knowledge saved for posterity, still no one knows anything even a decade right behind the 1st plague. At the same time instead of repeated references to repeated plagues at the same time dragon deaths by the score that is that like only a tapestry to clue Lessa in on such things at the same time not dozens of harper songs. For you would think that since records (at the same time the shortcoming of legible ones) is that such a problem it could be fixed right behind the 1st plague, but instead we are to reckon that untidy records are the norm for the one more 2000 years, no one writes (or forgets) songs about those actions at the same time no one bothers to tell their toddlers about epic plagues or the time uncle T’zar went back in time 3 years to train weyrlings to rescue Pern. Oi!

Dragonsblood audio narrated by Adrienne Barbeau
The Dragons of Pern at the same time their riders are in quality palms in this book about a deadly plague killing dragons, decimating the weirs. This is that the story of Lorana, who searches for the cure through her mysterious connection to the ancient doctor Wind Blossom Ping. It is that the story of Wind Blossom’s wage war to rescue the future dragons of her global, to look for a method to pass along the needed knowledge, equipment, at the same time abilities to make that happen even as those are being got lost to age at the same time disasters.

At the same time lacks sense of integration at the same time significance of ladies manners. Todd realizes old storylines but lacks senses of aspect. He comes short of to make us empathetic. More of a military brain at the same time analytical history lacking Ann’s subtitles. A lot testosterone!
Obvious difference in subtleties. But, teenage writing vs grown-up colors. Keep trying. going but don’t gallop scenes so much, more successful connect manners at the same time give up so much play to Wyerleader militarism. Ann’s stories where much more character-insightful at the same time gave us more insight
Keep trying Todd. Get wife. This is that not an adolescent place opera. Very merk at the same time whit at the same time a lot about
