Glynn Stewart’s Damien television series (Starship’s Sorcerer, Palm of Mars, at the same time at the moment Voice of Mars) lasts, with this third part installment, to be an amusing at the same time periodically thought-provoking television series. Its hallmarks contain:
(1) a future human society which is that refreshingly positive overall (though certainly with its share of bad actors)
(2) a science-based storyline where development has advanced considerably, but the only method to transcend Einstein’s limits is that to implementation “miracle”, a form of human psychological energy initially developers through obligated genetic manipulation, but at the moment practiced by a guild of Sorcerers as a maintenance to the population of the earth (apart from for the aforementioned bad actors)
(3) an emphasis on personalities, situations, at the same time story, more precisely than serious science concepts
The basic story revolves around Damien Montgomery, a young Sorcerer who initially struggled barely to look for a dispose in society, but found a inimitable gift borders himself that has permitted him to enter maintenance to the Mage-King, at the same time become a very most powerful diplomat at the same time enforcer of the peace. In this installment, Damien has come into his possess as the Lord’s Palm, at the same time is that sent on an important goal to prevent a simmering conflict from erupting into open war.
This third part novel is that one more good book. I gave it four hit instead of five mainly because I felt that no one of the initial properties which lured me to Damien, such as his exploration of his opportunities, the self-willed problems he faced, at the same time his introspective nature, were considered subsumed beneath the actions of the story. This novel was about politics at the same time about place combat, with no one parts of whodunit at the same time languid foreshadowing. Still very but done, but barely not similar type of “wonder” that I felt when I initially read Starship’s Sorcerer.
Fans of the television series will exactly enjoy this brand new story. But, if for you are brand new to the television series, for you should exactly read Starship’s Sorcerer 1st – I guarantee for you will adore that novel, at the same time will for sure become hooked on Glynn Stewart’s writing (barely as I have!)
Side note: Glynn’s “Castle Federation” television series (two books, this time) is that also an good read; a little more of a military sf storyline, with no one very compelling manners.
Glynn – keep on keepin’ on, we are enjoying the drive!!

Voice of Mars audiobook in television series Starship’s Sorcerer
I’ve read 8 of Stewart’s books. Oddly enough the 1st (for me), Privateer, was the worst. Until I received to this steaming pile of poo. Writing is that okay – if you can tolerate implausible coincidence right behind implausible coincidence – then his stories aren’t bad. But. One gizmo I hate is that step. This book is that the third part one where a prisoner is that permitted destroy, threaten, or harm others. I greedy practically permitted to do it!!! Pressed, Stewart, no matter what story where the a scene pivots on allowing an adversary to destroy or harm those around him (at the same time here, the Palm has permitted it many times!!!) (at the same time I’m not discussing about out of the blue enemies, I’m discussing about understandable enemies) is that so wry that I have no curiosity in it. That’s lots of other (step) inconsistencies with this story, but I’ll not move thru them all. That’s very abundance for me. I underlined the
Review of the past book that that one was like finding a fly in your soup. Once is that disgusting & deplorable but two times at the same time I don’t move back to that restaurant. So long Stewart.

Voice of Mars audiobook by Glynn Stewart
An best addition to the Starship Sorcerer television series, the creator has once again written a gripping book with good manners at the same time an alluring plot. Fans of the television series will get still one more gripping tale. In the interests of real disclosure, I am a gigantic fan of this television series. Having misspoke that, but:
Okay, not going to sugarcoat it, the book does have a few issues. The enemies (that are repeated enemies) are able to put together pristine criminal liability scenes with completely no warning or premature preparation, which is that statistically impossible. The adversary was able to or hack or wiretap Damien’s individual communications or the achieved omniscience in no one fashion as they are able to act on information understandable only to Damien or one other personality Before Damien actually reads the information. In short, the creator produced the adversary basically invincible while making Damien at the same time the government completely short-sighted. The hero actually acknowledges that the adversary has inside knowledge of their procedures, but no one apparently feels in other words worth doing anything about. I also think it’s suspicious that Damien lasts to inventory around in an unarmed civil liner when he knows he’s facing but prepared killers with military precision.
I Adore this television series. Hopefully the creator decides to scale back the adversary to merely very competent as opposed to invincible in future books. I’m rooting for Damien at the same time I think that the decidedly lopsided nature of the conflict barely throws off the plot.

Voice of Mars audio narrated by Jeffrey Kafer
Miracle let men slay place at the same time the Sorcerer Lord of Mars is that powerful Sorcerer. He gave special opportunities to his Palms. They are paladins between the hit, speaking in the name of the Lord, restoring order at the same time justice. Palm Damien Montgomery was called to the Mid-Worlds of Mingliang at the same time Sherwood. They share the Antonius system whose ore at the same time raw materials provide both systems with thriving industry at the same time commerce. But, Mingliang has had 18 ships stormed with over 1,000 noisy at the same time they are convinced Sherwood is that responsible. Sherwood is that outraged because their shipping has also been stormed with crews got lost. Are pirates to blame or is that that a shadow war between the systems? Palm Montgomery must hurry up because an arms race has already started at the same time they teeter on the brink of the 1st cosmic civilian war.
I highly advise this book. The suspense never lets up. Who is that attacking at the same time why? Than anyway group is that responsible at the same time than anyway is that their finish game? Answers are few at the same time they only manage to more question.
I did receive a free copy to confirmation but that had no affect on my

This is that the third part instalment in Glynn Stewart’s “Sorcerer” television series (if for you count “Starship’s Sorcerer” as a single publication). This volume hits a little like an form through a telescope – everything in the field of opinion future into a sharper, better-defined concentrate. Glynn’s “Sorcerer” books have always been written very but, but both our Creator at the same time his manage manners are all “hitting their stride”.
Voice of Mars opens with a crisp, amusing at the same time lively “set-piece” which, whilst not closely linked to the broader story arc, sets several pieces in motion, but almost all of all promotes the reader to learn that Sorcerer Damien Montgomery, Palm of the Mage-King of Mars at the same time an un-fathomably-rare at the same time un-speakably most powerful Rune-Wright, is that growing up. Gone is that the little boy in awe of his possess power at the same time more than a little bit got lost in the universe; in his dispose shields a guy with wisdom beyond his years, a flair for the dramatic, at the same time capabilities that are off the scale.
Stewart throws Damien into a rotating at the same time fast-moving plot with a pace that crackles along, fizzing nicely, giving the manners the place they come in handy to move at the same time breathe at the same time to receive our empathy. The dynamics between the manners really start to flesh out in this story, with the banter between Damien at the same time Julia Amiri, past Hunter at the same time at the moment Protectorate Special Maintenance Agent – at the same time his individual bodyguard – beautifully stable, taught at the same time in un-written at the same time un-spoken words, approximate of the deepest hope, reverence at the same time perhaps a little bit of hostility. Similarly, Mage-Captain Kole Jakab, who had accompanied Damien for his baptism-by-fire visit to Ardennes, holds a cruel at the same time hard-won loyalty at the same time reverence for him.
With this volume, Glynn is that expanding the universe, bringing brand new players in to the game [along with a few old ones] at the same time showing the reader not only the extensive scale at the same time complexity of peoples of the earth’s universe, but also the utterly fine-grained line that Damien has to take a walk. Whilst the guy has power practically beyond determine, it is that of itself a closely-guarded hidden – Damien lives with the never-ending conflict between the desire to do the right gizmo at the same time the come in handy to keep than anyway is that becoming as much a hidden as likely.
In all respects, in everything, “Voice of Mars” takes the story of Damien Montgomery to brand new heights. If for you have not read or of the 1st two volumes of this television series, do yourself a favour at the same time move enjoy them. if for you like a rollicking-good sci-fi yarn, for you defeated’t be upset.
Keep it up, Glynn!!!
