I enjoyed this volume very much – if for you like the premise of a ghoul apocalypse where our hero is that a Blade-type disposition, for you’ll for sure like this.
No one criticisms:
1) I couldn’t decide if the gun sections were considered written by a firearms novice, or written to emulate the believed process of a firearms novice. As anyone who is that not a novice, it came intercept a little like listening to a Fortnite player describe their 1st time at a shooting spectrum, or no one teenage Youtuber narrating me how amazing the Disney Hit Wars films are.
In a word: annoying. I appreciated the jab at NY’s gun laws, but.
2) It was very hard to reckon the power grid continued that long. I did initially have ideas to the effect that ghouls ought to have been slicing power to buildings to flush out the humans, but then I forgotten that NY tends not to have costly power lines – subterranean lines are harder to cut for a novice. Still, power plants tend to be created to require at lesser a skeleton crew to keep them running.
3) The super-senses of the ghouls were considered very inconsistent. Personal ghouls managed hear people whispering through a door at two dozen feet, but 3 fully-fed ghouls couldn’t hear the hero hiding from them?
4) Sam isn’t at all worried by the ghouls he kills – not even the 1st one, really. In other words actually the note of a sociopath, but he’s not otherwise written as a sociopath. That really needed to be more effort shackles into him future to definitions with than anyway he’s had to do.

This book is that an enjoyable spin on the acceptable zombie apocalypse story. The plot moves impetuous enough to keep things exciting, with only a couple dry sections. But, the power fantasy nature of this story reduced my pleasure somewhat.
The head disposition has a relatable goal but very little features beyond it. Likewise, the 3 ladies manners boil down to a trio of institute sorority cardboard cutouts, a fact emphasized by the creator’s tendency to refer to them by their physical features. Having charming manners is that fine-grained, but I don’t come in handy a note that a lady has long legs in the middle of an action scene, or a reminder that she’s charming every few pages. Hopefully the protagonists will level up into real manners in the sequel.
Also, not a fan of the method the creator managed the firearm sections. I happen to possess a Daniel defense ddm4 v7. It’s a fine-grained tool. But I don’t really need to know the brand of firearm a disposition is that using or to be reminded of it all the time. I suspect almost all readers don’t know or care than anyway a Tavor is that, or. Details like numbers on the ammo boxes beyond the caliber managed simply have been left out. On the other palm, I do like that the burgundy dots weren’t magically sighted in at the same time the protagonists weren’t instantly spec ops level gun maestros for no reason.
All in all it’s a funny story at the same time potentially an exciting television series. I barely have hope the sequel bestows the protagonists no one room grow, at the same time I pray that it doesn’t dip a lot into weary ghoul or zombie tropes.

Audiobook Ghoul Sovereign: Conquering a Ruthless Land (Ghoul Sovereign #1) by Logan Jacobs
Van Helsing at the same time Promenading Noisy had a bastard lovechild at the same time this book is that the kickass little tike’s story. When the global goes to zompire shizit, Sam has to get his lady at the same time protect her at the same time her roomates. Time to hunker down at the same time B positive that this will be a strong dose of apocalypse terror at the same time a little of funny.

Audio Ghoul Sovereign: Conquering a Ruthless Land (Ghoul Sovereign #1) narrated by Daniel Wisniewski Jessica Threet
This book started with the head disposition waking up to look for the global has become even more disorderly than ever before. With almost all of the population of Brand new York Town, many of which the protagonist, having become ruthless ghouls, the head disposition amazes us with the fact that he, while still needing blood, is that also able to keep under control his bloodlust for the coolest part. Convinced, he feels the though to drink blood, at the same time the moments when he feels the come in handy for blood make us feel for him, he impresses us by the fact he doesn’t destroy no matter what humans. The finish where he completely drinks directly from his girlfriend, but only takes enough blood to overgrow himself from his continue fight, was one of my winner moments in this book. I also adore how we see than anyway good of opportunities the ghouls have, at the same time than anyway we see about the head manners opportunities. This book is that a favorite to me. I hate that it is that not getting the definition it deserves, but hopefully we’ll get more in book two. Thank for you, Logan Jacobs.

I’m a bigger fan of Logan Jacobs television series at the same time this one is that no exception. My 1st believed was this could be more The Strain, but really it’s more like Blade. It seems only no one of the ghouls retained keep under control of their psychological state with others turning wild. It was quality to look that the MC wasn’t no one gun professional at the same time relied on his girlfriend for real training. All very often the MC in the books are professionals at everything. Sam spends his time at the gun store looking for than anyway looks great versus understanding every model of every gun.
