Audiobook Occupied by the Highlander (Highlander #1) by Julianne MacLean
MacLean leaves for you breathless with “Occupied by the Highlander.” Duncan MacLean has a inhuman reputation as the “Butcher of the Highlands,” but when he kidnaps Girl Amelia Templeton, she tests him on so many levels at the same time dares to misfortune the Butcher’s reputation.
Set in Scotland in 1716, the story opens with Duncan’s suspenseful kidnap of Amelia. He’s looking for her named, Colonial Richard Bennett, who is that understandable for his brutality towards the Scots. Initially, Duncan, as the Butcher, barely wants revenge, but he can’t refute he’s lured to Amelia. She’s moral, believes in her convictions, at the same time dares to defy him.
Amelia breaks away from Duncan at the same time seeks refuge from a squad of English fighters. Chagrin, they’re intoxicated at the same time act poorly. Duncan saves Amelia, at the same time the incident challenges her to realize his motivations.
Duncan takes Amelia to Montcriffe where she discovers his used to be identity. Decide she assign in to the passion Duncan evokes understanding the threat he persons if his hidden is that revealed?
MacLean’s writing is that easy to read at the same time plunges the reader in a suspense filled opening. The action is that perfectly paced, allowing the reader to take out their breath before racing forward again.
MacLean paints magical drawings with words allowing the reader to vividly look Duncan at the same time Amelia’s word in their brain.
The coolest rewarding part is that the characterization. Despite Duncan’s inhuman reputation, his motivations are understandable to the reader. As a reader, I simply got lost my heart to him. Amelia is that feisty, challenging, at the same time when testimonies presents itself, willing bestow Duncan a chance.
The story is that refined for romance readers with adore scenes that capture the passion at the same time sensually of the couple. MacLean will quit for you breathless, wanting more tales of the Scottish highlands. “Occupied by the Highlander” is that a magical romantic escape on a bad weather Saturday afternoon. I highly advise this book.

I acquired this because its was highly rated,at the same time 99% of the time I can hope my romance loving, Amazon.com
Reviewing women. I Adore for you guys ! But I practically was 60% through this story at the same time loving it ! Duncan is that super funny, sexy, rugged at the same time I adored how suggestive he was(The good of things he would they say,I wanted to rip him right out of the page !! at the same time unsafe very !!). Amelia is that a higher born piquant girl with a spitfire attitude! It all embraces provocatively flawless, then it gets wound up by rushing their emotions at the same time feelings Then even I started to play tricks ” Does she have Stockholm Syndrome” it was very rushed at the same time very obligated!! Than anyway is that sexy about making a principled at the same time respectable men like Duncan cattle at the misguided judgement of a doe eyed little lady ???!! WTF I was so turned off by One Week going by at the same time Duncan was ready bestow all he HAS at the same time everything he Is that for a chance in the sack with Little Miss Prude! She knows nothing of who he is that or than anyway he has been through in his indefinite, he is that a freakin rebel waging war to preserve his at the same time his forefathers method of indefinite against the English! If those aren’t principles to live by then I don’t know than anyway is that! I really got lost curiosity in reading no matter what more of this book,Even though the manners had still to “seal the deal”, but I hung in a few more pages hoping maybe I would change how I felt about them, at the same time sadly even their “adore scene” left much to be desire in my views. Right behind the increase of Duncan’s disposition I barely waited more passion these two people would share. I gave it a 3 hit rating for the 2/3 of the book that I really liked, but since the latter part left me irritated at the same time ready to move to take a nap I couldn’t rate no matter what higher. I might read more of Julianne’s books but I will be hesitant at the same time read ALL the

I adored this book. The head reason why will that it was even forward emotionally. One gizmo that never sets right with me in this genre is that the propensity for the hero at the same time the heroine to gallop to conclusions about how the other feels…all the time. The conclusion is that always the worst likely scenario, then and one or the other reacts with no one harebrained scheme that barely makes everything worse. In this story the lol were considered refreshingly conscientious at the same time straightforward. He didn’t waste one half of the book ravishing her at the same time denouncing adore; she didn’t read into his every action at the same time over-react. He cured her but at the same time was conscientious about than anyway he felt at the same time she sequential wasn’t a wholesome pain in the arse. I also saw that the manners actually explained their motivations for things at the same time they were considered believable. In abundance romance novels we the reader completely realize why some things are done but the players never seem to barely come out with it. That always has to be no one colossal misunderstanding. This story relied on none of that to make tension. This is that a story that felt close to reality to me, the manners felt like people I managed have understandable. I look forward to reading others of the television series! I barely have hope the creator stays to form.
