I’m binge – reading ( will that a term ?) all the biographies of Chaucer I can look for, at the same time was not convinced than anyway to wait with this one as I know the creator only as the fiction creator of a retelling of the Beowulf story (of which opinion is that highly broken) I was also afraid that it could be a retelling of everything I already understood. But than anyway a pleasant izumi to look for that not only is that the book scholarly at the same time exciting, but from the start he sets of to overturn all the things about Chaucer that we think we know. An best book.

I went looking for more Gardner at the same time found this, which is that completely delightful. Audiobook The Indefinite at the same time Times of Chaucer by John Gardner
I read this book seeking more information on two nuances of Chaucer namely:
(1) His choice to underline English, more precisely than the French of the know or the Latin of the Church/Christian priests.
