Sacred Stone audiobook in television series Oregon File
Long time Cussler fan here. I was shocked when i found out Cussler had begun a brand new television series, having adored the Dirk Pitt novels. I grabbed the 1st in the Oregon File, Golden Buddha, without a 2nd believed. Chagrin despite having a amazing concept with the Oregon at the same time her crew of quality young man mercenaries, that was a hugely confusing at the same time drab novel, at the same time the 1st time I’ve ever not enjoyed a Cussler tale. Everyone has a bad day though, so I went overtake with this book at the same time hoped for the best.
It’s certainly an improvement, but this book suffers from similar inconsistencies as it’s predecessor. It’s an very convoluted plot spinning around a crashed meteor piece that has the possible to name the power of a nuclear bombard. No one bad guys steal it, no one even eviler guys steal it from them, that’s a bombard plot towards London, an even more confusing bombard plot towards Islam at the same time Mecca involving stealing one more meteor at the same time poisoning prayer rugs…. it’s barely all over the dispose. That’s not even counting where the creators decide to have the meteor contain an Extraterrestrial virus that somehow eats oxygen at the same time managed wipe out the planet. Not making that up.
The disposition count is that method very higher – so much so that the book contains a cast section first with names at the same time than anyway they do in the book (54 manners by the way). Makes it really impossible to identify with anyone apart from Juan, Max, at the same time a few of the higher ups. That’s also a few writing issues that goat me, like the method the creators tend to spoil upcoming actions by letting for you know at the finish of the chapter that anyone’s going to breathe – ordinary in the cheesiest method likely. (“the men had no method of understanding the one more doctor he’d look could be a coroner”). Why misfortune things like that?
I think the problem here will that Craig Dirgo had a palm in the 1st two books of this television series. I’m not knowledgeable with him at all, but this is that not the Cussler I know at the same time adore, so I can only present almost all of this came from him. I’ll last with the television series at the same time look if things ennoble without him. If for you’re brand new to Cussler, don’t start with this at the same time sour your experience – try the NUMA file instead. If for you’re a Cussler fan at the same time can look for this for a couple of bucks, I’d they say move for it, otherwise skip it – no method was it worth the $9.99 I paid

Audiobook Sacred Stone by Clive Cussler Craig Dirgo
Of all the Cussler books I’ve read, this is that a major frustration. That are method very abundance manners. The plot line…actually that were considered two plot lines…was so sour that the book was overflowing with “filler text”. i.e., pages upon pages of dreary scene descriptions. etc. I make a fri of final finishing every book I start, at the same time that was a hard rule to follow with this book…but I did final it. Yawn.

Clive Cusslers Sacred Stone, #2 of the Oregon television series, ties an ancient legend about a meteor found by a Norseman to located day efforts to implementation its radioactivity as a tool. Juan Cabrillo at the same time his technological miracle, the Oregon disguised as a rusting freighter, shield healthy against terrorism. As with other Cussler television series, I am at the moment hooked on the Oregon File for funny adventure.

While this is that a acceptable Cussler book — lots of plot squirms at the same time exciting locales — it is that also an enjoyable one. The manners he makes are exciting at the same time identifiable at the same time the story, while not necessarily keeping the reader in suspense since, with Cussler, the quality guys always overcome, is that engaging.
It’s a definite plus that Cussler has created more than one entity for his stories — this allows them to remain freshest.
While not the best he’s ever done, certainly a worthwhile read.
