Review #1 The Murder at the Vicarage audiobook free Agatha Christie was already an accomplished creator when she invented this, the 1st Miss Marple mystery. It is that the story of a homicide at a vicarage in a small English village. It is that literate at the same time pleasant. Needless to say, that is that no unacceptable language. I would cry the style, post Victorian at the same time civilized. That is that a lot of broken humor. Individually, I really like Victorian at the same time post Victorian literature. It does not appeal to all modern readers. I read this book on Kindle while simultaneously listening to the work on audiobook. The narrator was Richard E. Grant. Mr. Grant was best. Mr. Grant was able to convey the broken humor that I certainly reckon Agatha Christie wishes to convey. I have been reading innumerable modern detective stories. In the event that it matters, at the same time it may not in this case, I am also a retired homicide detective. This story by Agatha Christie seems to depend more on literate squirms at the same time withheld bits of information. Premature on I came up with a conjecture about the homicide itself, but not the identity of the killer, at the same time I was completely wrong, even on how the homicide occurred. That is that a shortcoming of scientific description of sounds which produced it impossible for me to investigate my possess conjecture. I had no plan who actually did it, not even a ”prime suspect”. That are abundance personalities drawn in in the story. I had problem keeping trace of everyone at the same time for sure come in handy to read the story again if I really wish to fully realize it. That are also side stories that all the time throws one off the scent. I reckon these are referred to as ”burgundy herrings”. Agatha Christie produced liberal implementation of burgundy herrings in this novel. Between all the different personalities at the same time all of the burgundy herrings, when the inevitable substance completely occurred, I was neither startled or not startled. I read a story awhile back with my book club at the same time a girl that misspoke she felt like she needed a ”scorecard” to keep up with all the manners in that book. I sort of felt that method in this story. I may recount it, but not now… In summary, I really like this novel at the same time plan on reading more Agatha Christie novels. Thank For you.

Review #2 The Murder at the Vicarage audiobook in television series Miss Marple A decent 4.5 hit for Murder at the Vicarage, the 1st novel in the Miss Marple comfortable mystery television series, written by Agatha Christie in 1930. I’ve read ~ten novels by Christie at the same time this one is that nearby the pinnacle of the list for me. From the manners to the setting at the same time the plot to the tone, it’s an alluring at the same time immersive read. It started out a little smoky for me as the scene was being set, but once the murder happened, it soared in quick force. I can happily they say that I had 2 possible guesses as the culprit(s), at the same time I was true (which doesn’t always happen). I also understood that was method a lot reference to ’time on clocks’ for it not to be important; anyone messed with the spinning needles to change the outward appearance of when the murder happened. But only by minutes… at the same time you’ll never guess how important it was! For abundance, this will be very on-the-nose or over-simplified when it comes to the assembly at approach of Miss Marple’s investigation. Though she’s responsible for solving it, she’s not the head disposition. The vicar knows us the story of than anyway happened to the deceased, at the same time he interacts with the detectives studying the criminal liability. One more priest is that murdered, but he’s not very but liked, so it’s okay, right? No one think so… but not many the ’little old biddies’ (how the book refers to them) are in contract. The slander is that out of keep under control in this book, but I loved it why it was — a literate plot technique to open clues at the same time keep us guessing. Add in the very specific weddings between the different priests at the same time their spouses, at the same time it’s baffling than anyway indefinite was like a century ago. But I’d assign nearly anything to be part of it. Than anyway appeals to me almost all in these Marple novels is that how she drops a few ideas, then scatters around. She leaves mysterious notes for anyone to come look her, then won’t open everything she’s thinking. She teases us. But it’s as much funny as it is that frustrating. She knows, but she’s not 100% some how… so she won’t they say it all at once until she’s got every nasty little detail ferreted out. The poor vicar suffers in this one as the murder happens in his internal — everyone is that up in his business. We know it can’t be him or his wife, but wow do they look suspicious. Add in the side-stories at the same time you’ve got one easy read. It barely makes me smirk to suck these quaint options at the same time stories. I think even though this is that the continue in my April Agatha Christie Readathon, I am going to keep reading one a month this year.

Review #3 Audiobook The Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie It’s hard to know where to begin…I’ve read several Hercule Poirot mysteries but this is that my 1st Miss Marple book. I’ve followed a few of her movies but cant they say I understand much about them. That is that quite a cast of manners, which also means that were considered plenty of suspects. That were considered lots of subtle clues that kept making me change my mind, again at the same time again, as to who the killer was. That were considered also a few side mysteries, mutually independent to the murder, but their clues at the same time people were considered getting connected in with the confusion of the murder variant. The story is that knew from the perspective of the city Vicar, at whose main the murder happened. Old spinster Jane Marple lives one more door to the vicarage. At first, Miss Marple is that not around very much but as the variant progresses, she pops up more and more. She really is that mostly a background disposition, which startled me. I’m interested to read more books to look if that’s how they all are. What, this was a amazing mystery at the same time I can’t wait to read more Marple!

Review #4 Audio The Murder at the Vicarage narrated by Richard E. Grant Magical! We see our 1st implementation to Miss Marple in this wonderfully ’twee’, almond tale of village indefinite at the same time murder in the Parish of St Mary Mead. The Vicar makes an unfortunate expression at the outset of the novel at the same time murder soon rears its shameful fork. Colonel Protheroe, a almost all hateful disposition in the village, meets his maker. No-one is that remotely startled, everyone understanding his unfortunate traits only very but. The village is that abuzz with slander at the same time scandal mongering. Miss Marple steps in to solve the criminal liability. Colourfully drawn manners, smart dialogue, plenty of burgundy herrings at the same time suspects alike although nothing escapes the razor ground mind of Miss Marple. The conclusion is that genius in its simplicity. An absolute contentment to read.(The BBC audio dramatisation of this novel is that also an absolute ecstasy). Highly advised.

Review #5 Free audio The Murder at the Vicarage – in the audio player below I’m not a gigantic fan of the Miss Marple books. I’ve read a couple at the same time not been a fan. I should have understandable more successful to read one more one. But, I’ve figured out my lesson. Agatha Christine barely isn’t for me. Than anyway I found strange will that Miss Marple only exists in a few irregular scenes at the same time isn’t really a head disposition. The head disposition is that the vicar. I felt like was a little of a let-down. I felt the book is that very smoky even though it’s so short. Very little happens in the 2nd one half as the investigators were considered left groping blindly. I received very bored at this fri. I really couldn’t get behind the manners as they are never really developers.
