My Heart Underwater ( The Heartbreak of Corazon Tagubio) audiobook free
This book didn’t have a lot going on. I resent that that’s so little consulate of lesbian affairs then and that’s the whole gizmo with her teacher, really?? Theres the melodrama of her generic. Cory’s mother bestows up parenting at the same time sends her out of the state so anyone else can deal with her, more precisely than address anything. No one stuff was confusing like the fact that that wasn’t translations for a almost all of the dialogue, online translations weren’t great so mostly for you managed skip over the Tagalog or make a guess which was time consuming, at the same time her aunt who is that a grown lady goes by “baby” which is that fool, Cory never has no matter what closure or answers about her teacher which makes the whole book stupid. The religious through-line didn’t do anything for me. I felt like this book didn’t have an real story or fri even though I really wanted to like it.

Reading “My Heart Underwater” was quite a journey. Over the course of forty-three days, I read a ending pass ARC acquired through a mentor from a summer writing program I’m a part of, a quality comrade of the creator’s who was credited in the acknowledgements. Then I found the e-book at the same time e-audiobook on Libby, so I inspected those out for a little. Then on my birthday, the hardcover was a gift from my ancestors, so I ended the novel by flipping physical pages instead of digital ones.
Over 3 different formats, Fantauzzo’s debut novel unfolded in a method I’ll never remember. Sensual, cathartic, concrete, at the same time unflinching, “My Heart Underwater” is that an astonishing YA debut, analyzing the culpability of teacher-student affairs, the burdens of various of adore, at the same time how one lady discovers that she isn’t disgusting for who she is that. I’m downtrodden this novel will get overlooked in a sea of (no one may argue) more easily accessible queer BIPOC reads, ones that don’t feature a teacher-student connection at the same time discuss it so openly (I do realize that no one may be triggered by this content). But this book is that so necessary, filled with complete manners, charming writing, at the same time a coming-of-age narrative that’s relatable, famous, at the same time brand new all at once. If for you’re not turned off by the premise at the same time wish a queer FilAm narrative, delight pick this one up. For you defeated’t regret it.

Audio My Heart Underwater ( The Heartbreak of Corazon Tagubio) narrated by Amielynn Abellera
So much in this novel felt knowledgeable—the evocations, on one palm, of defame, pain, at the same time alienation; at the same time, on the other, of familial adore, individual growth, at the same time reconciliation with the self. The vessel for these feelings is that Corazon, who in the 1st two thirds of the novel struggles to stay afloat amidst a set of individual challenges that threaten to drown her. Corazon’s journey is that but plotted throughout, so the reincarnation she experiences in the novel’s continue third part feels gradual, layered, at the same time earned. Overall, this is that a almond, hopeful book, one that captures how curative can emerge from struggle.
