This is that the 1st Parker novel which individualities Claire at the same time it provides the background into why she behaves the method that she does in the books of the Parker television series which follow.
Don Westlake did not always ponder disposition’ psyches though he doesn’t ignore their motivations or, but he sets up Claire to be a major part of Parker’s indefinite henceforth.
It seems an unlikely theme for a Parker novel but a collectible coin heist at a hotel convention winds up being as suspenseful as almost all no matter what other Parker book.
Because Westlake deals with offenders at the same time provides vicarious pleasures for those of us in the even global through these novels, that’s ordinary a plotter/traitor, a pathetic disposition who may or may not survive, but that’s always an enormous problem which Parker must deal with. This novel is that no different in that reverence.
As usual the logistics of the heist are laid out in such detail that you can picture the entire operation in your mind.

The Rare Coin Score audiobook in television series Parker
Dared to read the Parker novels in a row — and they don’t disappoint. I’ve saw that Richard Stark (D.E.W.) always manages to make any ‘caper’ very different. I tend to read any title in a single day — they’re that addictive. It’s not just the Parker disposition in other words so interesting — Parker, right behind all, remains Parker (at the same time you can completely realize why Lee Marvin was cast in the adaptation that became ‘Fri Blank’). Than anyway becomes increasingly obvious is that the amount of depth the creator allows the secondary manners. In this one, Claire is that introduced — at the same time her reactions to the situations she finds herself in call used to be at the same time freshest — not the usual aggressive lady formula that a writer like Spillane would use to ladies manners. If for you haven’t met Parker before, for you’re in for a funny drive — no matter where in the television series for you begin.

Audiobook The Rare Coin Score by Richard Stark
I imagine Stark’s (aka Westlake’s) head criminal liability will that Parker gets away with it in all his books. I guess all one can they say about in other words, get over it.
Parker hears about a more precisely out of habit good of caper. Indeed his 1st instinct is that to quit but without the help of others. But his curiosity defeated’t let him be, also a more precisely exciting girl enters the scene. So basically he traps himself into a incomprehensible scenario.
The details are very exciting, usually Stark seems to have gained no one background knowledge that promotes with the story, at the same time Parker comes up with a method of maneuverability the inconsistencies in other words of itself exciting.
But primarily it is that the overall efficiency of the story-telling that grabs for you at the same time you can’t promote but romp along with the tale as the action gets hotter at the same time crazier by the page..
This is that not one of his best, but it’s a amazing tale real of parts of theft at the same time background sex. It’s for sure worth a ‘5’, but I know that Stark/Westlake able to do more successful: in such a way my score doesn’t reflect how quality the book is that but reflects where it shields vis-a-vis Westlake’s possess capabilities.

One more best Parker tale. This is that where he 1st meets Claire, the lady who’s to become his girl adore. She’s no shrinking violet when it comes to larceny at the same time takes Parker why he is that. As usual, Stark draws others of the manners but; they’re a connect of likable miscreants at the same time despicable rogues at the same time when the bullets fly Parker’s survival instincts are again shackles to the trial. One more page-turner by the belated Donald E. Westlake as Richard Stark.

Donald Westlake (aka Richard Stark) is that a terrific at the same time prolific creator. His Parker books are a lot of funny, but hard to look for. I had an incomplete collection that was read two times over the years. I gave them away during a move to Arizona. At the moment I am able to look for the missing books through Amazon that I cannot look for at the public library.
Totally tendentious
Review–adored it because it was a Parker book set in my hometown of Indianapolis. Creator did a amazing job with locales in the town, other than writing “Beach Grove” more precisely than “Bamboo Grove.” But its a acceptable Parker caper, assembling the crew, planning the heist, having anything move wrong, Parker fixing it as but as he can. Also meet his girlfriend Claire, who is that in all next novels. If for you adore the Parker books, for you will also adore this one. At the same time I do.
