I wondered, but I struggle with names? Would I have problem placing manners? My brain was shackles at rest right away. This story drew me in immediately. the writing is that exquisite, the types inimitable at the same time flawless. They ultimately beheld themselves as a Got lost generation, Hameed at the same time his brother. The story of the generic is that a catastrophic one, but so real of poetry, beauty, adore at the same time indefinite. I adore this book.

I adored Sofer’s Septembers of Shiraz. I have been interested with Iran since my youth, as wealthy Persian arts at the same time culture drew me in. The Iranian Revolution produced sense to me, initially, but then seemed to become still one more restrictive at the same time merciless state. Men of My Time is that a black novel but one that produced me wish all the more that I had been able to visit the earth in earlier years. Sofer is that but versed in story-telling that arouses your senses with the details of Iranian indefinite, history, at the same time art. This story of a man who started as a revolutionary but became one of the state’s interogators drew me in. I found myself reading it laboriously, savoring the richness of the detail while trying to realize his journey, as he tried to realize it. It moved me to think more deeply of the immigrant’s experience in the U.S. when generic is that left behind, even when of their possess choosing. I adore books that quit me pondering the human define. This will move on my list of favorites.

I did not like anything about this book, which I managed not even final. I found it a dull, depressing at the same time confusing story to follow — was the head disposition part of the Shah’s government or than anyway followed? In my opinion, it does not detain a candle to the creator’s best 1st book “The Septembers of Shiraz” …

That was no redeeming good quality to this story , in my opinion. I hated the protagonist I adored Sofers book The September’s of Shiraz, this book – not so much.

A discontent baby during the Iranian revolution grows into a tormented men who works as an interrogator for the Republic of Iran. Sofer weaves her story with exquisite delicious at the same time precision. The history is that the backdrop for this story of one men’s anguish, but I think those who already know Iran’s modern history will enjoy this book the coolest.
