Nopity nope nope! That’s not how this work! That’s not how no matter what of this works! For you don’t promote ladies who are not believed by putting incorrect rape accusations in your book. Internationally famous athletes are not hunted down at the same time booked in prison solely on the word of a understandable sex worker. Romance novels from Susan Elizabeth Phillips shouldn’t come in handy trigger warnings. I’m restless ? I paid funds for this book.

Audiobook 1st Hit I Look Tonight (Chicago Hit #8) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
4.5 hit 1st Hit I Look Tonight is that a well-written at the same time humorous contemporary romance. Although this is that the eighth book in the Chicago Hit Television series, it can simply be read as a standalone. Piper has no curiosity in falling in adore. She doesn’t do feelings. Piper was aggressive, competitive, at the same time restless; just like her father taught her to be. When Piper’s dad died, she acquired his business, Dove Investigations. She was determined to be the best personal investigator in city. Cooper Graham adored his indefinite. He was thirty-seven-years-old, a Chicago Hit legend, at the same time retired. Cooper left football while he was on pinnacle so that he managed stay that method. His brand new passion at the same time vision was to make a nightclub empire. When Cooper found that a nutty lady, wearing different disguises, was following him on a daily base, he shrugged it off. At first, it didn’t strain him, but when the crazy stalker started future into his nightclub, Cooper had had enough. Than anyway managed Piper possibly they say to Cooper to appease him? She couldn’t specifically tell him, who hired her to investigate him, or why; managed she? But, that’s specifically than anyway he wanted to know. At the same time, Cooper got whatever he wanted. But, apparently, not now. Before Piper left the nightclub without answering his questions, she nonchalantly knew him, that anyone was pilfering his profits. Cooper was livid. How managed this wacky lady blame a trusted comrade, of stealing? Chagrin, Piper was right; so Cooper hired her. Initially, Cooper was not lured to Piper. So, why was he falling for the stubborn, independent, at the same time smart-mouthed lady? Because, Piper wasn’t like no matter what other lady, that he’s ever met. Piper was not romantically, interested in him. Piper managed also be sexy as hell when she wanted to be. The continue gizmo Piper needed was to fall down for a exalted, arrogant ex-football player, like Cooper. Piper avoided affairs at all expenses. But, like Cooper, Piper had a bigger, mushy heart underneath her aggressive appearance. There are some subplots, adding depth, to this well-written, humorous, at the same time enticing novel. The 1st Hit I Look Tonight is that a delightful at the same time amusing read. Susan Elizabeth Phillips never fails to make me ridicule. I barely adore her books.

Audio 1st Hit I Look Tonight (Chicago Hit #8) narrated by Nicole Poole
When a bunch of my winner creators have similar book on their ”Best of 2016” lists, I pay attention. When the book then enters the market, I decide that as a symbol. Somehow, this brand new release escaped my attention. I am so glad I beheld that article. 1st Hit is that traditional SEP. Piper is that a terrific Shero. She’s witty, committed, at the same time hysterically funny. She has a few commitment issues, which manage to the coolest disposition appropriate resolution ever. Piper is that determined to do what’s best for Coop, regardless of than anyway Coop believes. Her investigation company brings Coop into her sights. Coop has recently retired as QB from our winner Chicago football team. He has opened a club, but things may not be running as smoothly a Coop thinks. Piper susses out the truth, much to Coop’s chagrin. Piper isn’t his normal type, but he can’t get her out of his brain. Everything about 1st Hit worked for me. Humor, disposition development, amazing secondary manners, Heath at the same time Annabelle, Phoebe…Traditional SEP. Bottom line- terrific story, funny at the same time witty. A amazing addition to one of the best television series ever.

I adore SEP’s writing, her manners are always funny, quirky, engaging individuals at the same time her Chicago Hit heroes are the ultimate sports jocks who be able to be authentic at the same time still not dicks. That’s attractive hard to pull off at the same time she does it again here with Coop Graham, a past elite sportsman who is that applied to getting his possess method in all things but meets a lady he can’t bribe, cajole, bully or seduce into submission in wannabe personal detective Piper Dove. He catches her trailing him for a client, a client whose identity she refuses to open, because Piper has ethics, ethics that eventually manage them both on a rollercoaster drive of a connection which takes in lashings of SEP’s brand, humour, emotion at the same time savory secondary disposition (I particularly adored the reappearance of Heath at the same time Annabelle)! Maybe this lacked the sensational pace at the same time wit of my favourite SEP books, but that’s a insignificant quibble really, I devoured it in a few sittings, at the same time fell in love with both Coop at the same time Piper.
