For you should heed to this. It offers similar beauty at the same time delightful characterizations but has abundance of similar inconsistencies (mainly plot similar, at the same time in this case a little dreary in the middle) as his other books. Worth it for me, as I adore escaping into this universe. 8 people found this helpful

I was hoping to get similar voice actors as in the his black materials trilogy, but no matter how annoying it may sound, we can’t always get than anyway we want. I was hoping, at lesser, to get anyone who actually knows how people from Texas actually say to play Lee Scoresby, but they couldn’t seem to get that or. I’m from Texas at the same time his fake accent was so sick to my ears I practically turned it off. But I powered through. The writing is that amazing, as waited from Philip Pullman. 6 people found this helpful

Audiobook Once Upon a Time in the North by Philip Pullman
So, this was Okay, but I admit I was upset at the finish. I know it’s a short story at the same time I for sure waited a lot, but Lee S. isn’t that exciting of a disposition to me, at the same time his interactions with the ladies in the book were considered … very… fool to me. Like we gt that he’s a ’cowboy’ but… no. At the same time Lyra is that barely a mention at the finish… at the same time the story itself isn’t scary complicated at the same time attractive predictable so it was barely Okay. 4 people found this helpful

I imagine the story was enjoyable, but it was very short to developer no matter what true manners, the plot felt contrived, at the same time all in all I barely wasn’t engrossed in it. The cast though was good at the same time did an awesome job bringing an otherwise unremarkable story to indefinite 1 personality found this helpful
