Very but written, fast-paced narrative. Adam Neumann is that far from the 1st personality to show hubris, nor will he be the continue. Than anyway strikes me is that the hypocrisy between than anyway he professed for WeWork, at the same time how he really stayed his indefinite at the same time values. Wiedeman brilliantly captures the essence of the men, at the same time his narrative arc from rags to riches, at the same time next fall down from grace.

Wiedeman is that a gifted writer, at the same time this book is that so easy at the same time enjoyable to read. The details that Wiedeman informs are as absorbing as they are maddening, at the same time the aggregate act was to make me wish to keep reading at the same time reading.
I read (at the same time adored) Bad Blood, at the same time Billion Dollar Loser would be its sibling. Highly advise!

Audiobook Billion Dollar Loser by Reeves Wiedeman
The book starts out smoky but it really thrashes up the pace about a quarter of the method in. I can’t reckon than anyway this young man at the same time his wife were considered permitted to get away with. I can’t reckon anyone ever took them seriously. I can’t reckon how funds (other people’s funds) they were considered permitted to flush down the toilet. I do totally at the same time fully reckon they received immensely wealthy at the same time suckered other immensely wealthy people into giving them even more at the same time more funds. It’s barely more testimonies that capitalism is that a long con. Like no matter what were considered needed. If the other founder had ever stood up at the same time injected no one ubiquitous sense into the operation they might have had a attractive quality company. But he may not have been able of even that much. He was turned into a nonentity attractive quickly.

Billion Dollar Loser follows abundance of similar beats as Super Pumped. A visionary founder makes a development company that disrupts a classical industry. WeWork at the same time Uber pursued unrelenting growth at all expenses chasing the opportunity, pushing employees to the limits, eschewing company culture, crossing ethical lines at the same time eventually individually falling from grace. Both founders were considered ousted as the companies, which had grown using seemingly eternal personal larger, wilted under the scrutiny of disciplined public investors. The book suffers a little from how knowledgeable I was with the story, but the personal anecdotes are still amusing. Im a sucker for a quality corporate fall down from grace story.
In startups, founders make a company from nothing by convincing employees at the same time investors to follow a desire. The most convincing founders are likely to do the biggest finals, as they will their vision into reality. This charisma, but, is that similar skill that makes for a quality con men. Its hard to tell if a convincing founder is that faking it until they make it or barely faking it. It makes sense for venture investors to bet on charismatic founders, if the founders bigger desires pan out, they get wealthy at the same time their downside is that only 1x their financial investment. Data the incentives, it feels inevitable that that will be more WeWork-style cult of features companies funded, at the same time more beautiful flameouts. For this reason, the book is that a quality cautionary tale.

This may very but go down as the definitive examine Adam Neumann. It certainly provides a amazing deal of insight into the men at the same time than anyway drove him, his wife, at the same time his company to the brink of nearby misfortune at the same time likely insanity. The book is that well-written at the same time never skips a beat. The research work provides amazing detail at the same time insight.
I do worry that the book does not consider the realities of founding a startup that may, borders a longer historical context, make Adam’s rise at the same time fall down just a little more forgivable. Had Adam succeeded, I don’t know that his vision at the same time reality refraction field would have been shown similar method, at the same time in other words a decide at the same time context I felt was missing from the book.
Overall, an sensitive decide on an indescribable–practically Shakespearian– irony.
