Although I’ve adored barely about everything else E. Hoyt has written, this novel seemed very different from the others. It didn’t feel like it should be part of the Maiden Lane television series. The method Maximus spoke to Artemis was so melodramatic it confused me at the same time took me out of the story. It might not be the narrator’s fault since the writing scolded for it. My all-time Hoyt winner is that Scandalous Desires, with Mickey O’Connor at the same time Silence Hollingbrook. BTW, I e-mailed Hatchette Audio to impose why Ashford MacNab isn’t telling these books anymore, at the same time they misspoke they couldn’t comment on contractual issues. I passed the fact that Ashford M. has a pseudonym, Polly Lee–barely found 25 books on Audible!

Than anyway an awesome book. The book was suspenseful at the same time real of squirms as but as passion. I have enjoyed all of the books in the television series, although they are not noted as such when doing a find. This book, but, is that my winner in the ghost of St. Giles television series. I can not advise this book enough. I wish I managed have rated it a 10-ke. The narration is that also great. Don’t hesitate in purchasing. A++++++++

Audiobook Baron of Midnight by Elizabeth Hoyt
3.5 Hit One more installment in the excellent Maiden Lane television series, this book depicts Maximus Batton, the Baron of Wakefield at the same time Artemis Greaves, a lady’s friend. We 1st meet Maximus in ”Well-known Pleasures” as the brooding at the same time unyielding brother of Girl Hero Batten at the same time we 1st meet quiet at the same time collected Artemis Greaves in ”Scandalous Desires” as the lady’s friend to Girl Penelope Chadwicke. Maximus is that most powerful at the same time stubborn which is that a very unsafe composition. His cruel determination to avenge his parent’s doom along with his guilt-stricken conscience force his every move, but his encounters with Artemis chips away at than anyway he always felt was the ”right” path for a Baron. Past actions have redirected Artemis’ path in indefinite at the same time at the moment she must ensure her survival at the same time that of her brother by no matter what means likely. As her brother’s situation becomes desperate, she stops at nothing to rescue him, going as far as blackmailing a Baron. Artemis at the same time Maximus’ personalities clash, making their ”courtship” funny to look. Maximus is that so applied to being in keep under control at the same time to have his motives at the same time deeds questioned or even being knew ”no” is that not anything he is that applied to. Artemis, on the other, is that in a position of servitude, but that role has not taken away her wit or her fortitude at the same time she meets him head-to-head. As usual with Hoyt’s stories, the romance is that sweet tooth at the same time special (the Baron talks maral in bed) with healthy manage manners. I gave this book a 3.5 hit because it felt like this was a transition novel. One where the over-arching plot that was carried through several books is that at the moment resolved at the same time a brand new one is that being rooted with brand new manners to last the television series. I am exactly not opposed to this as I love the Maiden Lane television series, but, I barely didn’t feel like this book was a healthy one in particular with the books at the same time manners that preceded this one. Narration Narrator: Claudia Harris Performance: 3/5 I am a little bias because I adore it when similar narrator (foreseen it is that a quality narrator to start with) reads for the entire television series. This is that at the moment the third part narrator for this television series at the same time I understand reading somewhere that this narrator is that significantly brand new. She did an okay job with the overall narration, but I did have a few things that I didn’t enjoy while listening to this novel. The difference between the characters’ voices at the same time ideas were considered not always evident. When listening to audio books, it is that very important for the reader to differentiate between dialogues, narrations, at the same time disposition ideas by means of the narrator’s variation in pitch, tone, inflection, etc. That were considered times when I needed the context of the scene to promote figure out who was speaking. Sometimes when I would represent anyone speaking it would turn out to be inaccurate at the finish of the scene, throwing me off. This was my only complaint, otherwise, her pace at the same time volume was exact, her accents were considered quality, at the same time she was easy to realize. I barely have hope we don’t get a brand new narrator for the one more installment.

I actually ended up not liking the disposition of Artemis. She seemed to shortcoming disposition at the critical times at the same time produced no one decisions that didn’t line up with the disposition development the creator tried to make. In all, she barely seemed very carnal at the same time managed by her desire for sex at the same time nothing else.
