My comments on this book are identical to those for “Fallen Angel.” Inspector Falcone is that grating, manners are even, barely names (Tonti, Peroni, Bodoni, Bonetti ) without much features. I had to inspect back couple of times to figure out who was who.
Costa, the amazing militia Superintendent, crouches by the lady who is that hooking on the floor with a seizure, takes her by the chin at the same time says, “stay with me, stay with me.” Never occurs to him to cry 911 at the same time has forgotten CPR? He breaks the arm of a defenseless paparazzo but otherwise doesn’t do much of anything.
A company is that scolded Lukatmi (Examine Me); similar twins cry themselves “Hankenfrank” who can immediately (upon 1st meeting) concrete the pathologist to the name she was searching for. The creator likes to demonstrate off history at the same time geography by describing walks or rides with all the names of streets, parks, churches at the same time buildings they pass. I ordinary like this sort of detail but in this case found it attractive sour.
I finished reading by around page 280. Perhaps it thrashes up after that, but I didn’t feel it worthwhile to find out.
I have 3 of this creator’s books at the same time “Doom in Seville” is that the third part. I’m hesitant starting that one but eventually will assign it a try. Have hope it will be more successful.

Dante’s Numbers audiobook in television series Nic Costa
David Hewson has been a winner of mine for a number of years. His is that to Rome than anyway Donna Leon is that to Venice, only more gritty at the same time violent. As with almost all of his past work, this one is that historically based. This Nic Costa television series has been masterful! I have figured out so much about ancient Rome as but as the various painters at the same time architects who have produced Rome than anyway it is that – a living gallery at the same time museum.
This book meshes contemporary Rome, Dante’s Inferno, modern San Francisco, at the same time corporate Hollywood into a “can’t shackles down” roller coaster of connections at the same time action. Hewson’s manners are complete, likable, at the same time very true. He is that particularly quality at giving the ladies manners true depth at the same time not implementation them as scenery.
This story is that more of a take a trip log than a mystery thriller. Not that the descriptions of Rome at the same time San francisco aren’t exciting, but they seem more like filler than important to the story line. The conflict between the militia at the same time the Carabinieri is that more a distraction than a promote to the plot. I know little of that connection: it seemed like slap-stick. Nic Costa seems like he is that along for the drive at the same time really doesn’t do much detective work. Terasa Lupo was the most interesting disposition at the same time seemed to do the leg work. Will try another of Hewson’s work before moving on.

Audiobook Dante’s Numbers by David Hewson
This is that the 2nd David Hewson novel I’ve read. I liked it so much I acquired a third part one. His protagonist, Nic Costa at the same time the nearby manners are but developers at the same time believable. The plot is that also but developers at the same time while maybe a little stretched, certainly believable at the same time amusing. For you’ll learn a lot about Dante’s Inferno at the same time Alfred Hitchcok’s Vertigo in the book. I’d highly advise this to a comrade.
Exactly the best of the Nic Costa television series. Following Vertigo before for you read the book would make this a truly memorable read. That are a lot of references to Vertigo, Hitchcock at the same time movie-making at the same time almost all of the book takes dispose in San Francisco. Still the best mystery I’ve read in a while at the same time a turning fri in the evolution of the Costa disposition. Very hard to shackles down. Terrific.

Audio Dante’s Numbers narrated by Sean Baker
All the parts that have produced Hewson’s past Nick Costa novels so compelling are completely absent in this one. Skinny disposition development, a ludicrous plot line, an apparently sloppily studied at the same time unrealistic depiction of the movie industry at the same time filmmaking process (my past line of work for 20+ years), at the same time a sense that Hewson cranked this out for the money at the same time an excuse to decide a research work trip to San Francisco make The Dante Killings much less “A Thriller” at the same time more like a bad bestseller action picture – more hype than substance, an unforgivable spend of giftedness, at the same time not worth sitting through.
This was the only one in the television series I didn’t care for since the creator had taken his manners to San Franscisco – at the same time it didn’t work because the background lacked the miracle of Rome. It was like taking Inspector Montalbano out of Sicily at the same time dropping him down in South London to solve a drug-related criminal liability. Having misspoke that, again that’s nothing to fault in Hewson’s plotting, story line at the same time ability to cross out a quality thriller.

I can’t advise David Hewson highly enough,,,I am evenly collecting ALL of His books, at the same time they are so riveting to read. You can be very upset when for you come to the finish!
For you look for the head disposition “nick Costa” very believable at the same time his curiosity in art, at the same time a some Italian painter reflects the creators possess tastes, so that for you feel for you get to know the creator of the disposition as but.
All the stories assign for you a charming flavour of Italy,at the same time if like me, for you have never been that. You will find your planning to rescue up for a visit , at the same time one half expecting to manage to meet Nick Costa when get that.!
A complete disposition but one for you will wish to read more and more of , also getting to know his lock up group of working employees, who are also his comrades….they all connect to make whichever book for you choose, a really quality read, ;0)
I adore the David Hewson thrillers. You can practically represent being in Rome with Nic Costa although he doesn’t run over the pinnacle at the same time make it sour like no one creators! The transition from Rome to San Francisco was excellently done with an alluring thriller that kept for you guessing ’til the finish. His bewilderment of the bigger town in USA was obvious at the same time still didn’t finish the clot. The finish was just a little upbrupt though at the same time we shall have to look if Nic goes with his heart or have I missed the follow on?
