All of the frustrations, the sadness, the indescribable fear that I have felt West manages to articulate in a method in other words not just poignantits incredibly hysterical. I actually tried to read the book slower to make it continue longer, thats how I needed to hear this voice at the same time these words. Ms. West, delight cross out one more book immediately. The ladies of America come in handy for you.

Reviewer here, Witches feels just a little a lot like propaganda to me. Whereas Shrill seems to be more about self-love & acknowledgment, this book comes intercept as an act of finger-pointing. I completely realize that much of this is that meant to stimulate believed (it does) & embody action (maybe?), but the juxtapositions seem very disparate & really ineffective. I can look where West is that attempting to draw her connections to reach a conclusion (ex: the public media hype of Grumpy Cat vs the public media manipulation applied by Trump), but it all barely feels very last & very ghostly. Overall, this is that an awkward read for meit comes intercept as divisive more precisely than inspiring; a lot about complain & very little about accountability. Instead of serving to mend the rift overshadowed by #metoo, Witches does more to promote an irresponsible brand of extremism that usefulness no one.
