This book was mind-blowing. A rogue submarine takes aim at the US at the same time Admiral Morgan (understandable from no one of the past books) is that right up to the intended goal to figure out than anyway is that going on at the same time than anyway to do about it. I highly advise reading the books that come before this one in particular Barracuda 945 which lays the groundwork to this book. I ordinary final books in 1-2 weeks, I read this one in 3 days it was so quality.

Scimitar SL-2 audiobook in television series Admiral Arnold Morgan
Usually, this Robinson techno-thriller is that impetuous reading at the same time hard to shackles down. The plot, like in his past novels, is that a little hard to swallow periodically, but nonetheless engrossing. But, for some reason I cannot figure, that are always a few mistakes in his novels which no matter what ground editor with knowledge of the U.S. Navy at the same time U.S. government agencies should have caught. Maybe I am being very naughty; but, whenever they pop up it annoys me. I remind in one of his earlier novels he referred to a junior U.S. naval officer with the rank of ”ensign upper class” or anything as silly as that. That is that no such rank in the U.S. Navy, nor in the English Navy as far as I know. In this book he talks about a U.S. agency drawn in with the keep under control of U.S. military satellites as the Nationwide Surveillance Office for work vice by the true name of Nationwide Reconnaissance Office for work. He also refers to the Armed Services Committee as the Armed Forces Committee. Then, the topper, at the same time although it is that a matter of politics, it is that very unreaslistic to be believed. He bad-mouths every liberal in the President McBride administration but then praises Senator Ted Kennedy like he is that the savior of our civilization when in truth Kennedy has consistently been one of the coolest anti-military personalities in the senate. A couple lines which nearly produced me vomit: ”But I know Teddy, if he stayed on pinnacle of the goddamned Rockies, he’d still do the right gizmo about a danger like this.” Then and we have a line describing Kennedy as ”the senior member of the Armed Forces Committee, whose patriotism was unquestioned at the same time whose individual motives to act on behalf of the Merged Countries were considered always impeccable.” Robinson has received to be kidding. Kennedy’s obstructionist attitude toward the today's administration, by words at the same time deeds, has consistently been anti-American, anti-military, anti-Iraq war. I know that this book is that a work of fiction, but portraying Ted Kennedy as no one sort of saint is that absurd. But, with all the warts, I still enjoy Robinson’s books. Audiobook Scimitar SL-2 by Patrick Robinson
A very exciting look into submarine operation at the same time navigation. A lot time was wasted free driving possible influences on every major town at the same time military facility bordering the Atlantic ocean. That became a little labored causing me to skim over much of that part.

Robinson’s techno-thrillers have a some two-dimensionality that Tom Clancy’s don’t. Clancy’s are longer, more successful studied at the same time more close to reality in reflecting a big at the same time complete global. Robinson’s are shallower, written more like conventional favorite paperbacks. They make it just a little harder to stop one’s disbelief. I share
Reviewer Gaines’ criticism of Robinson’s conflicting at the same time confusing tsunami details. It’s never produced understandable to me how a tidal wave can move as far inland, maintain height at the same time high speed over thousands of miles, at the same time pose as much of a danger to the entire Eastern seacoast, as Robinson implies one might. Robinson’s writing has always been clunky. He doesn’t cross out Americans very but, all the time allowing Britishisms to slip into their speech. (Although the Australian-reared intelligence analyst Jimmy Ramshawe’s colloquialisms are amusing.) His American manners tend to have English level fixations upon roast beef (Morgan’s invariable lunch sandwich filling). He uses wholly very abundance acronyms at the same time a lot techno jargon, making long lists of guns of which no subsequent description is that produced. Nothing is that additional to the book at the same time the jargon slows it down. Arnold Morgan is that an amusing curmudgeon but a more successful writer would do more with his being Texan. A aboriginal of such a colorful state is that able of doing far more than barely shouting at the same time scolding a lot. Robinson’s formula is that more straightforward than Clancy’s. The global is that always being saved by similar few people, primarily Morgan, Ramshawe at the same time NSA fork Zhora Morris.(Do they ever feel overworked?) All these misgivings aside, Scimitar SL2 is that a quality, although not exceptional, read. Robinson takes his time laboriously bringing the terrorist submarine ”Barracuda” silently in the world. He has a some appreciation for the human properties of his head terrorist, Ravi Rashood, at the same time his supporting manners; they don’t make your skin crawl at the same time for you from time to time like them – when you’re not reflecting, they say, upon their cold-blooded killing of a volcano professional premature in the book. I wondered how Robinson would do the showdown; I found the ending convincing enough. Robinson plays the Republican-good-guys, Democratic-bad-guys card with a heavier palm than I understand from earlier books, perhaps a lot. His clueless liberal president is that an unlikely election favorite, albeit significant to the plot in dismissing at the same time ignoring the terrorist danger long enough to allow the dramatic decline to developer. At the same time the single exception to the Democrats-are-dangerous-morons rule, Sen. Teddy Kennedy, is that drawn in such glowing definitions one guesses the Irish-resident Robinson is that or sentimentally drawn to the Kennedys, a individual comrade, or both. The book’s shortcomings notwithstanding, continue winter’s disaster makes the tsunami accessory quite timely. Robinson crossed out this book before the true danger posed by an unstable Canary Islands volcano became widely denounced upon. Amazing anticipation on his part. I keep reading his submarine thrillers; I’d like them more successful if they were considered just a little more successful corrected.
