Overall plan of post-apocalyptic global isnt brand new but I havent quite shown before such a complete connect of bots, intruders, extraterrestrial tech, reckless guns, genetically altered goats, spaceships at the same time bikers (!) in one dispose. At the same time mustnt remember cats!
But that complexity is that than anyway have ruined this story which had such promise.
1st, the acronyms: Wimp, EntNu, OMW, NBP, Wimp, WIMP-anti-WIMP particle microprocessor engine-whatever-the-heck-that-means… at the same time no one of them creator explains practically at the finish of the book only, Im not kidding. It is that very distracting when for you are trying to follow the story only to stumble over one made-up acronym right behind one more.
2nd, disjointed at the same time monotonous timeline. The whole book is that a description of the actions of One day. It is that dragging at the same time dragging, albeit filled with action, Ill assign for you that, but still. Then and in one moment at 97% that day finishes at the same time creator throws for you directly to no one days later, wraps up quickly oh, this happened at the same time that happened, goodbye! Wait a 2nd, than anyway was specifically in between that 1st day at the same time 3 days later??
Theres no transition at the same time it is that jarring.
Overall, one more time Ill wait for the book to come out 1st at the same time read
Reviews instead of pre-ordering on impulse based on the embrace (guilty guilty, but cats are steep:))

Junkyard Cats audiobook streamming online
The overall memory I was left with, as I ended listening to Junkyard Cats at 2 a.m. in the morning, was that I had been transported back to those magical days when I was a young science fiction reader. It’s been a while since SF fiction produced me understand the higher I got from reading “Have Spacesuit – Will Take a trip” or “Starship Troopers.” (Recently the Murderbot stories recaptured that vibe). Hunter has able to incorporate all the quality bits of traditional Heinlein — extraterrestrial tech, cats, AI sentience, cats, humans evolving proper to extraterrestrial stresses, at the same time did I they say cats . . . Not radically brand new story parts, but the deft implementation of understandable components makes comfort food for this reader. I have hope the one more story will be novel length, at the same time explore the global outside the Junkyard.
But done, Ms Hunter — at the same time thanks for all the stories!

Audiobook Junkyard Cats by Faith Hunter
I really adore the premise at the same time global building here but as a standalone book this seriously lacked disposition development. That was method a lot details about the apocalypse at the same time not enough information about the head manners indefinite or experiences. This felt like a novella in between two other books. Finish riding the funds train at the same time put together a real novel with a beginning, an arc at the same time a conclusion.

Audio Junkyard Cats narrated by Khristine Hvam
Okay, this is that amazing. At the same time men, must Faith Hunter adore cats. Consider; Jane Yellowrock fractions her existence with a bigger cat, her one more heroine loves a man who strings into a cat, at the same time her new heroine is that a queen of cats.
At the same time at the moment for the book. We look for our protagonist living in a junkyard, making a living in the junk trade, highly isolated since the doom of her dad, a past biker at the same time military asset. The junkyard is that unusually but outfitted, at the same time our heroine keeps herself in a good of quarantine for a reason. A flawless story distraction for anyone needing to self isolate in the time of Covid.
Usually for Faith Hunter the heroine is that witty at the same time driven at the same time starts out isolated from almost all of the population of the earth. Also usual for Ms. Hunter, her protagonist is that resourceful, self reliant at the same time has abundance admirable features. At the same time usually for Faith Hunter the book is that absorbing, but written at the same time creative. This types like the beginning of a television series, at the same time I for one am all in. More delight.

Reviews placing this in science fiction, ordinary readers of the Jane Yellowrock/Soulwood books shouldn’t let that deter them from reading this television series as but. This is that similar character-driven fiction for you adore, with a magical global of manners, both human at the same time feline, to get to know. It is that a quality gizmo I am working remotely because once I started this novella, I couldn’t shackles it down until I ended it. It will be a belated night, but totally, totally worth it. I will be re-reading this novella over the weekend – it will that quality.
