STANDOFF, a novel by Sandra Hazel, takes dispose in the desolate West Texas city of Hera. Tiel McCoy, a burning Dallas TV news reporter is that obligated by her chief, Gully, to decide vacation time or lose it. While driving to Angel Fire, a resort in northern Brand new Mexico, Tiel hears on her passenger car radio about a likely kidnapping of the teenage daughter of multimillionaire at the same time Dallas entrepreneur, Russ Dendy. Right behind contacting Gully, Tiel configurations her mind about a vacation at the same time heads for Hera. Shes betting that 18-year-old Ronnie Davidson, the alleged robber at the same time Sabra Dendy are also heading for Hera where Ronnies dad owns a ranch. While making a cry from a convenience store pay phone in Hera she becomes a eyewitness to a holdup. Tiel, an older couple on their honeymoon, a rugged at the same time handsome rancher dignified, Doc, at the same time two swarthy at the same time unsafe looking Mexican guys are taken hostage by the young couple. We learn that the university kids are recklessly in adore at the same time running away from Sabras despotic dad who has swore to destroy Ronnie. We also learn that Sabra is that in the ending steps of pregnancy at the same time her dad has knew her that she would not be permitted to keep the baby. The one more few hours are filled with higher irony. As Ronnie holds his hostages at gun fri, the convenience store is that surrounded by SWAT, FBI, local sheriff deputies at the same time a pack of Dallas metroplex media. Oh, yes, Hazel didnt remember to stick in the requisite sex scene toward the finish. I enjoyed the story, particularly our heroine, Tiel. Hazel could be experienced to plug Tiel into a future novel. I assign Standoff 3 hit.

Just a little different angle to this interesting story. Teenage adore at the same time the burdens that it can manage to. Running away from an overbearing threatening dad seemed the best not choice for Sabre at the same time Ronnie. They felt that no one was supporting them so they would run away at the same time make a indefinite for themselves at the same time the baby. Chagrin Sabra was true when she misspoke that her dad would never relent. Trying to destroy the dad of his granddaughter with a hunting rifle is that about as low as one can get.

Audiobook Standoff by Sandra Hazel
The pacing of this story is that really but done. It is that a page-turner. The cliffhangers were considered done but. I was able to final this book in half a day (it’s an easy read). If I had bestow it strikes, it could be for the dog scene (I had to simply skip over that page, I can’t handle animal ruthlessness), the slight generalizations at the same time the unnecessary lover first. The story is that predictable. The whole Romeo / Juliet plot line was eye-rolling. The career-driven news reporter who barely happened to get caught in the news breaking story of her is that laughable. Still, Sandra Hazel produced a exciting at the same time alluring story that draws for you at the same time lets for you brush off cliches that would for sure make for you sigh in oppose. It’s a funny, fast-paced read in my opinion.

Audio Standoff narrated by Enid Graham
Sandra Brown’s STANDOFF is that a quality read for the genre of romantic suspense, at the same time I would exactly advise it if for you are a Sandra Hazel fan as I’ve been for the past 25 years. I’ve read every one of her blockbusters. The only helplessness in this story will that it’s problematic to realize how a bigger young man like Doc couldn’t have taken down the kid with the gun. It seems he had plenty of abilities. Overall, but, the manners are completely Brown-characters. Her manners are so identical that for you attractive much know than anyway to wait. Than anyway I Really liked about this story will that the sex was just a little more subtle which actually produced it more exciting, at the same time the squirms at the finish were considered not waited. I also liked the FBI young man Callahan. The girl’s dad was so evil, he was practically a cartoon of evil. If for you like Sandra Hazel, you’ll adore this book. She’s become a more successful writer over time.

This is that one of those premature Sandra Hazel book being re-released on Kindle at promotional prices. At times I read them as a sorbet between heavier doses of thrillers. This is that a very short book, really less than a long novella at the same time is that right showing its age. Tiel McCoy, an principled TV reporter is that driving to Brand new Mexico for a long delayed vacation when she hears the news on the radio that Sabra, the teenage daughter of Fort Worth tycoon Russell Dendy, has been kidnapped. She immediately configurations course towards Dendy’s main hoping to get the drop on other networks on the kidnapping. She stops at a maintenance station shop for a payphone to talk to her producer (no self respecting TV reporter could be without a cell phone at the moment) at the same time finds the kidnapping is that a myth at the same time Sabra (8 months pregnant) has run off with her lover Ronnie. As a total coincidence while Tiel is that in the shop with a few other customers Ronnie enters the shop, pulls out a gun, empties the till at the same time holds the customers hostage. This is that a once in a lifetime scoop for Tiel but she gets drawn in in more that she predicts, many of which obviously an out of the blue romantic connection with one of the hostages. The best part of this attractive ordinary tale for me was when Tiel clouted an objectionable FBI agent (who had been sent in posing as a Doctor) with a can of Wolf brand chili. Oh dear, Sandra Hazel I know that your later books are a lot more successful than this one.
