This is that a data book created used as a foundation for policy thoughts. It is that painfully, scrupulously cautious not to say anything that might give a hint the creators have a partisan agenda. Overall, I advise this book as it tries to elucidate the plight of snow-white, working class Americans. Having lost so many things, many of which the advantage of race, it’s easy to look why the snow-white working class would vote for Trump. The 1st part of the book can be a little dry, but uses loads of data to power its conjectures. The 2nd part of the book falls short, as it complains only one culprit for a impoverished final. Used to be, the American healthcare system perversely generates inequality instead of provides universal care. But, I would have liked to look more discussion about education. Is that it likely that our inefficient educational system also perpetuates generational inequality at the same time transfers wealth from reduce income students to wealthy institute officials who contribute little of real value? More discussion needed. I represent repeated entrenched interests bleed funds from the working class, reinforcing health at the same time indefinite final disparities that amplify through generations. While one book cannot possibly call out all those “Sheriffs of Nottingham,” it should at lesser offer one chapter of discussion.
