Its a science fiction book, but even with that knowledge, the direction the book takes can be barely odd. Without giving away plot spoilers, the book has no one quality sections (Metis 3 chapters), but the beginning was weak, at the same time the several chapters of him dreaming didnt add much to the overall story.
