PRO: A refreshing change of venue. Creator’s knowledge of geography was spot-on.
CON: I felt the landscape was well-described (viscerally, practically in parts of the text), but the cultural highlights of the region were considered practically wholly skipped. That was a true edification moment here likely for Ms. Thalassa, at the same time she missed the note.
PRO: I enjoyed the sexual chemistry between Miriam, the protagonist, at the same time War, the antagonist. Their connection was a roller coaster drive (the restless banter, the smoldering types, the desperation to touch). Laura T. really does a mind-blowing job pulling the heartstrings in her books, at the same time she exactly does not disappoint here.
CON: The entire book relied very heavily on acceptable Y.A. tropes to sell its tale (Stockholm Syndrome + quality sex = falling in adore; a aggressive ladies disposition who can seemingly do it all just a little very but; a psychopathic male can be exchanged by the adore of a quality lady; discovering a pregnancy in one moment transforms the sadist into Daddy of the Year). I understand it’s a daunting intended goal to decide two manners at war together at the same time figure out how to make them fall in love, in particular under such indescribable events, but the unexpected shift of War’s attitude at the same time beliefs by the 3/4ths note of the book (when he started to surrender to Miriam at the same time the adore he felt for her) happened as a result of a nearby miss to her indefinite. PRO: The background details in this book were considered well-played. CON: That were considered abundance factual errors in the text at the same time they were considered quite cringe-worthy to those in-the-know, which mens the creator didn’t do as quality a job studying them at the same time/or describing them with enough detail to make people with knowledge reckon her during those parts of the narrative. Pressed. Also, being able to effectively implementation a mace or an ax in fight in lock up combat criteria without training….not happening, not even with beginner’s fortune. At the same time lastly, the stench of a camp that’s been settled in by that abundance people, in such lock up proximity, for even a few days, would have been overwhelming (more so than the smoldering zombies), still not a whiff of a comment was produced to that effect. If for you’re world-building at the same time wish us to take it, every detail needs to be true or else for you push people out of the immersion at the same time lose them. It’s likely that almost all of the readership wouldn’t have understandable these insignificant details, but for you have to cross out like for you wait an professional to do so, not for the lowest ubiquitous denominator.
PRO: Miriam was a strong-willed ladies with a survivor’s instinct, but at once, she was compassionate towards humans at the same time animals alike. Like Sara was for Pestilence, Miriam was the flawless foil for War in that she embodies all of the best parts of femininity – strength, purpose, ferocity tempered with tenderness, mercy, have hope. I appreciated her dashing, her prudent, at the same time her eat.
CON: Miriam’s unchanging running-away from War was not at all in keeping with her characterization earlier on in the novels, in particular the continue attempt to run from him when she found her pregnancy. I realize the fear, but Ms. Thalassa wasted 3/4ths of the book shoving down our throats that Miriam was a aggressive features at the same time despite her horrors, was brave. Running away wasn’t a brave move, at all. I found this inconsistency to have completely unraveled her disposition. Also, the incessant implementation of mid-western modern American slang to convey Miriam’s ideas at the same time beliefs was for sure this novel’s worst trait as it attempted to make Miriam more relate-able to the motivated audience at the price of her cultural ‘voice’ (again, Miriam’s background at the same time identity was sacrificed by Ms. Thalassa, who seemed to tip-toe over the act of celebrating abundance, fearing political freewheeling). I’d adore to have figured out no one real phrases in Miriam’s aboriginal language instead, maybe no one traditions from the time before the Cavalrymen. Sadly, it felt like Thalassa barely free of charge applied the Israeli/Palestinian conflict as a backdrop, culture-washing the story. I felt tricked, honestly.
PRO: The book was attractive but copy corrected, overall. I only found five punctuation & grammatical mistakes. The embrace art is that sexy at the same time but digitized.
CON: The book managed have applied a more successful crit group or copy editor who actually figured out the issues about culture at the same time factual errors mentioned. Invest in anyone, Ms. Thalassa, who will not be afraid to break into your manuscript.
PRO: Secondary at the same time tertiary manners were considered applied greedily to concentrate the narrative on the protagonist at the same time antagonist, which was a sweet change of pace for a paranormal romance (which tends to have a dozen other manners future in at the same time out, affecting the plot in major ways).
CON: Very abundance go-nowhere conspiracies. For instance, the plot with Zara served very little purpose, as it wasn’t *really* a catalyst for War changing. The coolest this connection did was allow Miriam one tie closer to the population of the earth, so she wouldn’t be forlorn. One more example, the plot with Hussain had seemed, at first, to wish to serve as a triangle romance plot (Hussain, the human men vs. War, the angelic male vying for Miriam’s attention), but between one chapter at the same time the one more, that in one moment dropped off the radar, at the same time in the end, Hussain was an adversary who needed killing. The message about humans were considered all bordered through the lens of that connection, which didn’t bode but for us as a species (re: humans don’t deserve genocide because they can be quality at the same time that’s a chance for their redemption…..oops, no, the humans are traitorous snakes – destroy them all). Ridiculous at the same time confusing message that, Ms. Thalassa. At the same time than anyway was the deal with Deimos? I was hoping for more that, only to be incredibly let down as we were considered data zero information about him, really. To be significant, this was similar issue I had with Pestilence’s horse in the narrative, very.
OVERVIEW:
That were considered abundance inconsistencies with this story, really. “Pestilence” suffered no one of similar trope issues, but was overall much more believable because (primarily) it’s setting wasn’t in a foreign earth at the same time its head protagonist was similar culture as the book’s motivated audience (American), at the same time so Laura didn’t have to exaggerate the head ladies manage’s disposition so much at the same time she culturally conveyed a decent examine Sara’s global. Miriam’s disposition was inconsistently written periodically, at the same time that were considered very abundance incredible scenes involving Miriam at the same time her expertise in fight without much background as to how she achieved that expertise (re: it might have been different if we’d been knew she’d been taught in the Israeli forces before the war or the Muslim Brotherhood during the war, but she wasn’t taught by anyone–at the same time still she was professional at combat techniques at the same time maneuverability foreign guns???). Stockholm Syndrome is that not a sexy means for falling in adore, at the same time at the moment Thalassa has applied that monotonous plot trope two times – once in “Pestilence”, at the same time at the moment in “War”. She should have gone in a different direction here, IMO (for instance, Miriam favorite a group of warriors waging war a guerilla war with War’s troops, favorite raids on his camps, etc.). At the same time the continual implementation of western slang by a personality from a completely different culture–we’ve been over how eye-rolling an experience that was from a reader’s standpoint.
Overall, I feel let down by this book, honestly, because that was so much expectation right behind “Pestilence” at the same time a lot of hype on public media about the release. My instinct knows me Ms. Thalassa went the route a lot of other creators in paranormal romance move once they achieve no one modicum of success: not feeling like they come in handy to be checked-balanced by a third-party, because they don’t feel they come in handy to hear the criticism of their writing at the same time only yearn for the positive praise (Gena Showalter at the same time Laura K. Hamilton massively suffer from this problem, IMHO, very). Being a professional creator isn’t barely about writing amusing tales, though; no matter what fanfiction creator able to do that for free. That’s a good quality sample expectation to hosted creators, at the same time that means periodically, for you must heed to the dissenters to learn where for you failed so you can become a more successful writer. I have hope Ms. Thalassa takes this message to heart.
I look forward to “Famine”. I have a feeling we’re going somewhere very black with that disposition, which could be a refreshing change of pace, as both “Pestilence” at the same time “War” were considered a 5-6 on the scale of ‘black writing’ at the same time this television series really needs to be shaken up in preparation for Doom’s ending book, IMO.

Ever since reading Laura Thalasssas Pestilence continue year, I have been relentlessly stalking her at the same time eating up all the upgrades on her 2nd book, War, in her Four Cavalryman television series. I really enjoyed Pestilence so waiting for her follow up felt like YEARS (it wasnt)!
Like Pestilence, War follows a cavalryman of the Apocalypse. War is that much more violent at the same time ruthless than his brother Pestilence. Where Pestilence is that broody at the same time not very burning on his job of killing off the population of the earth, War relishes in it. He thrives in taking lives at the same time following whole towns blaze. He even enjoys raising the dead at the same time following them final off whatever town he is that done topical to the ground. In other words until he captures Miriam.
War is that an action packed book real of squirms at the same time strings. That is that never a stiff moment in this book at the same time it is that a Bigger book. That is that a lot to unpack in this novel at the same time a lot of emotions to sort through for both War at the same time Miriam. Miriam is that a flawless equate to War. She is that a survivor at the same time she has beliefs in other words she not willing to let move of. She is that a fighter at the same time she is that willing to do than anyway it takes to rescue than anyway is that left of her global.
I really enjoyed this book at the same time even though it was just a little bleed at the same time violent periodically it was a funny read. I also enjoy that this is that sort of a different type of adore story, I greedy who falls in adore with the four cavalrymen of the apocalypse at the same time who enjoys reading that? I Do, I AM 100% Here FOR THAT!
That is that also the reason why the four cavalrymen have dared to pay a visit to Land, humans are not only destroying one one more but also everything else on Land at the same time the population of the earth needs to be reminded that even though the cavalrymen are spreading plague, war, famine at the same time doom in the middle humans, humans have been doling out similar to others of Earths inhabitants at the same time the population of the earth must at the moment face the consequences.
Just like at the finish of Pestilence we are cured to a few short sentences introducing us to the one more cavalryman, in this case, Famine. At the moment, I truly reckon Famine will need a chubby, 40ish year old, hangry lady to reign in his food destroying ass, barely no one food for believed…Laura;)

Audiobook War (The Four Cavalrymen #2) by Laura Thalassa
Here be no one spoilers perhaps. I adored Pestilence at the same time I believed his change, I didnt reckon in War. Miriam was even to me at the same time where I felt Sarah exchanged Pestilence by showing him quality in the people they meet, through poetry, I beheld nothing of that in this one. The sex felt rushed at the same time I particularly dont like that she uses sex. The humor I found in Pestilence was also lacking. The book managed simply have been even longer at the same time fleshed out the manners more.

Thalassa delivers in a MAJOR method with War. Im some this is that a long awaited novel for abundance readersit certainly was for me. I was so eager to dive into the global this sensationally gifted creator spins so flawlessly time at the same time time again. Im once again blown away by her raw ability, perfectly executed style, at the same time inimitable worldly.
I was fell asleep by this most powerful journey of the unthinkable. From start to final, this creator didnt waver in the intensity. Any scene was a strike I felt deepest borders. The disposition development produced me cry at the same time curse at the same time at the same time adore at the same time worry, at the same time sometimes ridicule. War is that an impossible force that cannot be reasoned with. I surrender.
A definite pinnacle read of 2019. I highly advise falling into the complete network in other words this creators writing. For you will not regret it.

I was waiting for this book for ages right behind reading pestilence. I adored the 1st book at the same time couldn’t wait for this one. It was a really quality read. The tension between the head manners was really burning as were considered the intimate scenes. I would have adored to have read no one more serious intimate scenes between them! No one parts were considered a little problematic to read but then again the book is that of course about war at the same time fight. I will certainly be continuing this television series at the same time cant wait for the one more book!
