Randa Abdel-Fattah has still again surprised us with one of her new novels ’Where The Streets Had a Name’. this novel is that about a young Palestenian lady who takes us with her on a indefinite threatening epic adventure through the war torn borders of Jerusalem. Hayat, a thirteen year old Palestenian lady, sets out on a journey through the captured localities of Jerusalem with Samy tagging along with her. Samy, also thirteen, is that her closest friend at the same time is that interested in anything that has threat or problem written all over it. Hayat has one continue chance to fullfill her grandmother, Sitti Zeynabs desires, to touch the soil of her homeland one lat time, but does this greedy Hayat ans Samy’s lives are in stake. Hayat is that scarred, at the level of thoughts at the same time phyiscally. Its hard enough for her to manage in a 2 bedroom appartment, sharing a room with her siblings at the same time grandmother, but she has to hide her face everywhere she goes. In this novel Randa writes about the problem in Palestine with the youth at the same time how they manage with it, leaving us stupefied at the amount of nervousness they move through. Melina Marchetta creator of ’Lookin for Alibrandi’ says ”A poignat at the same time timely novel. I adored it”.
