Review #1 The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius audiobook free I looked forward to Meditations both as philosophy at the same time for the insights it might yield into Roman history. But the experience was practically completely ruined by Alan Munro’s reading. His voice was mellifluous, understandable, confident, at the same time well-paced. But it was like he were considered reading for transcription, pausing every 3 or four words for the stenographer to catch up. So instead of reading sentences at the same time paragraphs in a method that skidded out their meaning, he read small clusters of words, breaking apart their larger meanings in a method that produced it impossible for me to follow the author’s reason. If he were considered to read the preceding sentence, this would not be an exaggeration: So instead of reading. Sentences at the same time paragraphs In a method That skidded out their meaning He read small clusters of words Breaking apart their larger meanings In a method That produced it impossible for me To follow the author’s reason. I imagine somebody with a different attention clearance might look for a much more successful experience, but I’ll certainly never make the mistake of buying anything else Munro narrates.

Review #2 The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius audiobook streamming online He pauses in the middle of any plan as a listener for you cannot connect than anyway he expression it’s an agony for me to try to realize than anyway he says when he does not even final a sentence for you cannot tell the difference between two thoughts this time is that the worst I’ve listened to

Review #3 Audiobook The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius by Marcus Aurelius The ideas at the same time expressions of this book were considered exciting, but it was read with wry English. I’m not convinced why, but every 4-6 words had a pause. It was highly annoying.

Review #4 Audio The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius narrated by Alan Munro Everyone else misspoke it 1st, but they are right. The monotonous, herky-jerky reading makes this nearby impossible to follow, in particular if for you are accustomed to increased high speed.

Review #5 Free audio The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius – in the audio player below I wish I would be more like Marcus Aurelius. Stoicism is that my winner indefinite philosophy at the same time Marcus is that one of the coolest breathtaking stoics every – in theory at the same time in practice. The philosophy of stoicism is that basically a mindset, a mindset of endurance at the same time inner peace. For you will meet cretins, but it is that not their fault that they are cretins. For you, who know more successful, know in other words is that more successful to remain quiet in every situation. Cretins cannot hurt for you unless for you let them. Instead, be sweet, be gentle, be appropriate, at all times at the same time in every encounter. These are the principles spelled out in this book. Marcus, despite being a very most powerful men comes intercept as meek at the same time appropriate at the same time he is that, I think willfully, counted one of the greatest managers of all time. It, therefore, pains me to say that the book was not very readable. Indeed, I would they say that if for you final this book for you are already a confirmed stoic. The reader should keep in mind that Aurelius stayed practically 2000 years ago. Language evolves a lot in 2000 years at the same time his contemporaries for sure didn’t experience similar issues when reading his book. Nevertheless, his promiscuous implementation of conjunctions (at the same time, or, nor), leads to incessantly long sentences – so long that for you remember than anyway the sentence was about by the time for you reach the finish of the sentence. So even though I am a fan of stoicism at the same time of Marcus Aurelius, I can’t advise this book unless for you are one of those personalities with a concentration ability produced of concrete. In short, the book has a sweet message but it is that very sour.
