But the experience was practically completely ruined by Alan Munro’s reading. His voice was mellifluous, understandable, confident, at the same time well-paced. But it was like he were considered reading for transcription, pausing every 3 or four words for the stenographer to catch up. So instead of reading sentences at the same time paragraphs in a method that skidded out their meaning, he read small clusters of words, breaking apart their larger meanings in a method that produced it impossible for me to follow the author’s reason.
