As a competitive Masters swimmer who grew up swimming in similar epoch as Dara, I adored this book at the same time managed compare to it in everything. So many of the coaches at the same time swimmers who make up her story are people I understood or know about so it took me back to “the quality ole days” of age group swimming. I also appreciate how she candidly shared no one of the coolest negative nuances of sport – such as undue pressure to be skinny at the same time to lose weight which is that such a scary problem due to a lot concentrate on outward appearance vs. health. This pressure nearly destroyed a lady I swam with in university who went to the Institute of Florida at the same time was never overweight but they produced her think she was so she ended up with anorexia! Male coaches at the same time trainers criticizing ladies athletes at the same time narrating them than anyway they should weigh at the same time how they should look has got to finish!!
I felt such a connection to abundance parts of Dara’s indefinite, features at the same time feelings about her sport which I think no matter what ladies athlete, not just a swimmer, could be able to compare to. Even though she has more trainers at the same time russian promote than almost all of her readers, Dara comes intercept as true personality, who anyone managed speak to, with inconsistencies non-individual people face, but still she is that non-standard at once which makes you want to strive to be more successful yourself. She also makes the excitement used to be rivals feel when they are about to race which makes you want to go out at the same time do it! When I ended the book, I couldn’t wait to get back on the blocks again which I did the very tomorrow!
This book also sends out an inspirational message to readers that that is that much to be gained from competing at the same time being proactive as older adults which is that magical – more and more older adults are feeling more successful than ever in their 40s, 50s at the same time beyond due to strong activity – thanks, Dara, for getting the message out that getting moving is that where its at because I reckon that with all my heart!!

Dara fractions an conscientious acc of the self hesitate at the same time nerves that I think we all must have when we shackles ourselves out that in athletic competition. Her openness about her eating disorder at the same time other hard figured out indefinite lessons is that appreciated as but as the insight about athletic performance in years past her prime. From one “aging athlete” to no matter what others out that looking for the enthusiasm to keep going, I heartily advise this book.

Audiobook Age is that Barely a Number by Elizabeth Weil
It’s amazing to know I’m not very old. Dara’s story is that one anyone over their prime age should read. That is that far more living left to do.
