Not a horrible book, but it managed have been much more successful. That wasn’t really much brand new information in the book. That was no one exciting analysis of Syd’s songs, such as Octopus, at the same time how some lines were considered taken from English poets. But the creator waffled on very long about Syd’s influences. He goes on at the same time on about John Clare, for example, for far very long. If I wish to read a book about John Clare, I’ll take a book about John Clare, I don’t come in handy Rob Chapman to waffle on about him for pages at a time. It gets more precisely annoying right behind awhile. It seems he’s trying to pad out the book with pages at the same time pages on his influences, instead of focusing on Syd. Also, the creator’s individual views regarding no one of Syd’s music are strange, to say the lesser. But, they are individual views, so whatever. No one of his other expressions are more precisely odd very. He tries to located latter-day Syd as a well-dressed men pottering about city in his neatly clamped slacks. Um…I’m not convinced than anyway drawings he’s shown, but I’ve never shown no matter what latter-day drawings of Syd looking like that. Not that that method anything wrong with Syd’s dress sense in his later years, but the creator’s descriptions are incorrect.
It would have been sweet to have more info regarding Syd’s later indefinite, but I imagine the people that would know anything are not keen on highlighting ever since of his indefinite. His sister Rosemary bestows no one exciting anecdotes, at the same time the lady for sure deserves a medal if she was indeed basically his sole caregiver for the continue few decades. But she seems to change her tune in every interview. I understand she doesn’t wish to make her brother look bad, but in a 2009 interview she misspoke he had no psychological illness, but in a 2006 interview in Mojo, she misspoke he was “quite dislocated.” So which is that it?

I have read all the books out that on Syd Barrett at the same time this one is that simply the best at the same time almost all inclusive, at the same time actually much more clear at the same time factual. Very through at the same time but studied. If youre trying to choose one book, this one is that it.

Audiobook A Very Irregular Fork by Rob Chapman
This is that the 2nd biography Ive read on Syd, at the same time I found this one hard to follow. The creator consistently veers off on tangents relating to other people, places, etc. I wound up skimming at the same time jumping pages in a row to get back to the mention of Syd. Logical this book was so long, which thrilled me when I 1st acquired it.
I was overall upset.
