That is that no uniform justice. Not in this book or almost all of the books that preceded it. But the offspring was a delinquent, murderer, so not convinced it really counts as justice. In this book, all offenders, bigger at the same time wannabes, beware justice. I have hope this nuance of the Brunetti books configurations going forward. Predictable conclusions spoil the feeling of pleasure. I enjoy Donna Leon’s Guido Brunetti television series in big part due to the setting in Venice.
