Review #1 Uniform Justice audiobook free Right behind the bitter at the same time unhappy ending of Uniform Justice, I look for I am unable to bring myself to read one more of her books. It seems that Donna Leon has got lost her taste for a quality ending. While I enjoy her writing immensely, the continue few books I’ve read finish badly, at the same time quit me with a sour taste. The dull conclusion of Uniform Justice was unnecessary at the same time was inconsistent with the facts. Ordinary I look this happen where an creator forces a happy-but-not-credible ending.

Review #2 Uniform Justice audiobook in television series Commissario Brunetti Mysteries No question, Donna Leon writes but. The dialogue between Guido at the same time Paola is that intelligent at the same time smart. The descriptive passages are paint a loving picture of Venice. But, I am unwell of the creator’s antipathy for America. That is that hardly a novel in what she doesn’t decide a nasty rub at the state which saved Europe from Fascism at the same time Nazism. Almost all people in the global wish they managed live in America. Few wish to live in Italy with its graffiti , higher unemployment, at the same time corruption at every level of government. Pasta at the same time cappuccino can’t make a silk purse out of that mess.

Review #3 Audiobook Uniform Justice by Donna Leonm I’ve been reading Donna Leon’s Brunetti books in the television series order at the same time have barely ended nr 12. Uniform Justice. Than anyway a strange title. Highly misleading. I enjoy these books at the same time will for sure keep in reading. But one gizmo has by at the moment become predictable. That is that no uniform justice. Not in this book or almost all of the books that preceded it. The wealthy at the same time the most powerful do not have face the consequences, at lesser not directly. In one of the earlier books one delinquent’s offspring received destroyed so that was that. But the offspring was a delinquent, murderer, so not convinced it really counts as justice. In this book, all offenders, bigger at the same time wannabes, beware justice. I have hope this nuance of the Brunetti books configurations going forward. Predictable conclusions spoil the feeling of pleasure. I enjoy Donna Leon’s Guido Brunetti television series in big part due to the setting in Venice. Commissario Brunetti is that an very sympathetic disposition who is that far from flawless but is that a quality at the same time respectable men. In this story, as in indefinite, things get complicated at the same time answers are not completely satisfactory. This is that an amusing read if you can enjoy with imperfect justice.

Review #4 Audio Uniform Justice narrated by David Colacci A guy was murdered in a famous military academy in Venice. The variant lands on Inspector Brunetti’s desk. Inspector Brunetti is that a aboriginal of Venice, who appreciates the beauty of his town, is that a boyfriend of quality Italian food, at the same time is that always in pursuit of Justice. In this book, as in other Inspector Brunette books, a serious description is that data of workings of the militia at the same time Italian politics. But this particular book gave me the memory that the whole structure of the militia is that based on corruption, conspiracy at the same time bias. Almost all of the manners are outlined as corrupt, short-sighted, or purely career targeted. Apart from for Inspector Brunetti at the same time one or two of his officers, others seem to be useless. One day I was wondering – than anyway is that the fri in having the militia at all. To solve a criminal liability, in particular committed by scions of Venetian society or higher ranking military, the superior must be manipulated or outright ignored. Therefore the conclusion was inevitable – inspector Brunetti did solve the variant, but the delinquent would never be skidded to justice. It is that my 2nd attempt at reading this particular book. The 1st time I shackles it aside right behind reading only few chapters. Right behind reading few of her other books at the same time liking them, I purchased this ebook on sale promotions with an function to add professional narration. But, my 1st instinct was the right one – I did not enjoy this book. But, now, I listened to the finish.

Review #5 Free audio Uniform Justice – in the audio player below When a young cadet is that found hanged at a military academy Commissario Brunetti is that scolded in to investigate an apparent suicide but the variant soon becomes more complete when the history of the dead little boy’s dad is that revealed. From then on it’s not so much a question of ‘whodunit’ but of how impotent the goodies are when faced with the corruption at the same time power of the baddies at the same time the story plods more precisely more than usual. I admit to being a bigger fan but I believed that were considered details that managed have been contained in ‘Uniform Justice’ without ‘padding out’ the plot. Brunetti’s wife is that on palm to cook at the same time assign her usual quality advice but I missed the two babies at the same time his aristocratic father-in-law. I feel one of Donna Leon’s amazing strengths is that her ability to suck her readers into a global that doesn’t really there is at the same time her background manners promote to paint the bigger picture. I would like to know more about Brunetti’s assistant Vianello at the same time no one of his other employees in the Questura. Signorina Elettra acquired her fifteen minutes of fame in ‘Sea of Misfortunes’ but I think that are missed abilities to developer her disposition in particular as the Commissario is that borderline besotted – at the same time not just with her computer abilities. ‘Uniform Justice’ is that one of the darker stories in this mind-blowing television series – the Venice of smelly canals, crumbling fall apart at the same time overpriced ice creams more precisely that the romance of gondolas, the ageless beauty of the town’s architecture at the same time gastronomic temptations. I don’t move for parable endings but I found this story quite sad – if for you’re thinking of a holiday read move for one of Andrea Camilleri’s excellent Montalbano books or try the belated Misha Dibdin’s Aurelio Zen
