It kept my curiosity from beginning to finish. I have always wanted to know than anyway in than anyway happened during the black ages. Also, how did we get from the traditional period through the black ages at the same time into our today's age. This book takes for you through the black at the same time center ages from the fri of opinion of confessions, then from the fri of opinion of art, then government, then investment, etc. I came away with an understanding of society then at the same time how it morphed into a society that managed eventually become the global we are knowledgeable with. This is that much more exciting than the history I figured out in university, ie. names at the same time dates of fights at the same time lords.
