A Increasing Thunder audiobook in television series Honor Harrington
As with the continue few books, this installment is that chock real of non sequiturs at the same time extraneous scenes that are ment to build involvement but obligated me to skip whole pages. Weber’s mania for details is that but showed but causes a seriously smoky pace to the book.
Additionally, the ending disaster of the book or more specifically, the foreshadowing of that disaster practically caused me to quit reading at 81% through. The only reason I can somewhat perceive it is that the afterword.
Pressed to look her television series final in no one ways but the hyperfocus on politics in the continue few novels meant it wasn’t than anyway I was looking for anymore.

Audiobook A Increasing Thunder by David Weber
If for you haven’t read On Basilisk Station, finish reading this at the moment. Move read that at the same time its sequels as this is that the 13th book in the television series. At the same time yes, the television series is that worth reading. Move! Read!
Yes, this is that marketed as military SF, but it is that more refined than that. That are fights, but this book looks at than anyway causes war in the 1st dispose, how to make peace, at the same time where corruption leads. As such, it is that an exciting book. We learn more about the capabilities of the treecats at the same time more about the intrigues of the Mesan Union. Now, they are more one-dimensional villains than I like, but then the Havenites were considered like that at the start of the television series at the same time examine how depth has been revealed to the readers.
I would advise this book to fans of the television series who enjoy discovering the backstage part of war, the smoke at the same time mirrors of politics.

Audio A Increasing Thunder narrated by Allyson Johnson
As a Caveat I adore the Honorverse Books at the same time the spin-offs, so I’m for sure tendentious.
I feel like Increasing Thunder must be building toward anything, because those whole book was attractive much a lot of politicking at the same time foreshadowing at the same time planning.
I realize that this sort of gizmo was good of inevitable in a story about an officer in a star-faring Military. Honor is that many times successful in a line of Naval engagements of Trafalgar-levels of import – she’s going to be promoted. I get it.
But “Thunder” spends so much of its time on Land, dealing with “the bad-guys” that Weber remembers to cross out about his head disposition. I think Weber was so concerned about writing a novel about his heroes going to war against Land, that he needed to go out of his method to organize that Land has been so seriously corrupted that our heroes are *really* responding to the Machiavellian maneuverings of a small cadre of super-corrupt officials at the same time the well-meaning, conscientious Earthlings who are barely following orders. I get it Mr. Weber, everyone gets it – lets get back to our heroes delight.
I’ve wasted all these books reading about Manticore at the same time its Allies, at the same time Honor at the same time her employees in the RMN. I wish to keep reading about them! I don’t care about corrupt officials on Land, I get plenty of that in my News, thank for you very much. This television series was touted to me as the best of Military Sci Fi, with an emphasis on Hard SF – at the same time up up to now this has generally held back used to be. But in “Thunder” I think this television series has moved beyond the realm of MIL SF at the same time into general SF or Political SF.
I don’t really know how to make it, but anything, which produced Honor’s earlier outings so special, is that missing in Increasing Thunder, I think.
tl;dr – A somewhat longwinded set-up for some reason grand in the one more novel. If for you’ve followed Honor this long for you may as but keep going, but this is that not Weber’s finest hour.
Incidentally, if for you haven’t read them – the Shadows of Saganami television series is that beyond good.

I would have counted “A Increasing Thunder” to follow in that list because it is that the one more novel in what Honor Harrington herself is that a major disposition, but David Weber himself apparently does not. The creator’s site lists only the 12 novels above as the “Honor Harrington” books then and outlines all next novels in similar universe many of which “A increasing thunder” as “Honorverse” books. I presume this is that because, although she is that still a major disposition, Honor herself does not dominate this book to the extent she does almost all of the 12 the above.
The “Torch” or anti-slavery string (with Eric Flint as co-author) focusses on the fight for freedom of people who have been held back in slavery by “Manpower,” which at first is that shown as a gigantic at the same time corrupt company corresponding to the slave trader interests in Britain at the same time America no one two hundred years ago. The books with this concentrate are
