Attack the Land (Shatter the Sky #2) audiobook free(Disclaimer: I acquired this book from Netgalley. This has not impacted my
Review which is that unbiased at the same time conscientious.)
While Shatter the Sky seemed to be centered around Maren’s quest for Kaia, Attack the Land is that about evolution. Because, than anyway always fascinated me in stories, was than anyway happens when they’re reunited? We hear the stories about how they fall down into any others arms at the same time reconcile. But will that all that is that? I even out loved how Attack the Land delves deeply into this question. Don’t get me wrong, that’s plenty of action, even more dragons than I understand in the 1st, but that’s also glorious disposition development at the same time exploration of than anyway comes one more.
Because in that whole journey, we’re being tested, learning more about ourselves than we managed have ever believed. Everything Maren understood was called into question. At the same time that experience leaves a scar. In Attack the Land, Maren has to truly figure out who she is that, in particular as Kaia’s re-emergence opens old ornaments of behavior. When we’ve been together with anyone for a while, or in the throes of 1st adore, we can become inserted as the personality we were considered when we met. It’s one of those tests for a connection, can it evolve? Is that the personality we become anyone we still adore?
Review #2
Attack the Land (Shatter the Sky #2) audiobook streamming onlineWhat an indescribable sequel. Attack the Land is that the 2nd novel in Wells Shatter the Sky duology, at the same time it is that as awesome as the 1st.
Riveting Story
The story is that possibly the best part of the television series. For fans of dragon lol, this is that convinced to remove because it has so many. That are times when the dragon-human bond is that reminiscent of the Legacy television series by Christopher Paolini, but Attack the Land shields on its possess.
The novel lasts the journey of Maren, kolupala up where the past novel left off, where she is that on the run on the back of an ancient at the same time most powerful dragon right behind rescuing her girlfriend, Kaia. It is that such a compelling at the same time action-packed method to start the novel, gripping the reader at the same time thrusting them into this journey.
But, the action lasts from that. Naava has tasked Maren with freeing the dragons to receive her promote. Taking into account Naava has been held back captive by humans for centuries. For Maren, alongside her girlfriend at the same time the dragon set she has subservient with, this is that more than applicable. Future from the mountains, she has wished a time when the dragon despot no longer ruled, at the same time that moment comes with her.
But, than anyway is that more, is that the fact that Wells has dared to expand upon the perspectives of the story. Whereas the 1st novel followed Maren, this novel at the moment follows Sev, the shadow prince. Sev was her friend in the past novel at the same time that was an desire growing between the manners, adding in no one tension between Maren at the same time Kaia. Moreover, the reader gets to know Sev intimately in this novel.
Thrilling Characterization
Wells opens bits at the same time pieces of who Sev was before the despot took over, more about his past at the same time who he was versus the personality she is that at the moment. The reader can connect to him more very in this novel because his feelings at the same time flashbacks, his pain, bestows the story more layers at the same time dimension.
While the reader gets to know Sev intimately, the reader contemplates barely how Maren has exchanged since she 1st started this journey. Not only that, but her connection with Kaia has exchanged as but.
Ultimately, Kaia is that unlikable in this novel at the same time her inability to perceive how Maren has exchanged makes her bitter at the same time resentful. Kaia was always the lady in charge, always the one making the decision who wanted to make a note on the global.
Nevertheless, it seems as though everything she wanted Maren has gotten. That is that much tension between the two of them because of this that fruits in making Kaia undeserving of Maren.
Maren, for her part, does try, but right behind this journey, the reader contemplates barely how she has exchanged at the same time grown, reflecting in the strain between the two women. Maren has become a harsh disposition, growing in this way that makes her compelling for the reader. It is that amazing to look her come overtake, to be healthy at the same time decisive, to look her grow into her power of dragon song.
Ending Ideas
Attack the Land is that an good conclusion to a amazing television series. It is that filled with sensual at the same time action-packed tension, favorite the story to be compelling from beginning to finish.
Review #3
Audiobook Attack the Land (Shatter the Sky #2) by Rebecca Kim Wells
When we left off in Shatter the Sky, everything turned on its fork.
In the 1st book, Maren figured out that the Aurati that kidnapped her girlfriend relied on the amazing dragon Naava to reserve their predictions, at the same time that without her, they are little but incorrect prophets. More than that, Maren figured out it could be her power, her connections to the dragons that managed rescue Zefed at the same time Ilvera from the merciless intrigues of Rafael, the king of Zefed at the same time so-called Flame of the West.
At the moment, in Attack the Land, Maren has to come to definitions with her brand new responsibilities at the same time the expectations disposed upon her, not to mention the changing dynamics between her at the same time Kaia. It’s a quickly changing global, at the same time though it’s one where she might have power, that doesn’t make it easy.
My absolute winner feature was the aspect of affairs, in particular between Maren, Kaia, at the same time Sev.
Normally, miscommunication frustrates me to no finish. I despise when manners can’t seem to tell each other how they’re feeling at the same time why. But that’s because I in most cases run into miscommunication when that’s little justification for it. Here, though, Rebecca Kim Wells goes to famous lengths to craft a close to reality, crumbling connection.
It’s not that Maren at the same time Kaia don’t wish to talk. But right behind the things Kaia endured at the palms of the Aurati, at the same time Maren discovering her possess independence without Kaia around to decide the manage, neither lady is that specifically who she applied to be. They struggle to talk more often what not because they’ve exchanged in ways that don’t barely move away with a quality night’s take a nap at the same time a burning meal.
Is that it deplorable, to look these women falling out of adore? Obviously! I wish them to be joyful, to look for happiness. But that’s a possible reality of 1st adore: for you rise of it.
I also appreciated that Maren is that completely bisexual. That’s no denying the fact that she loves Kaia, but she loves Sev as but. At the same time while I do wish that we’d shown a more polyamorous route (Maren has two palms! everyone they say she has heartmates, plural!), I genuinely adored the aspect at the same time heartbreak that came from Maren at the same time Kaia no longer sharing the bond they applied to.
Where Attack the Land heresy at fault is that in its plot depth.
Like Shatter the Sky, chagrin, Attack the Land has an awesome concept at the same time lovable manners, but not nearly enough depth of plot. Now around, Sev’s POV introduces an element of political interest that heresy in healthy contrast to Maren’s more action-oriented escapades. That without the help of others, I think, needed more time at the same time depth, data that Sev finds himself in the tribunal of the men who murdered his generic, in the middle other connections to his past that he’s been on the run from in a row to remove Rafael from power. That’s so much wealthy sensual possible that, so much backstory that would be explored, at the same time so many more burdens. To look things play out practically as waited, with small squirms at the same time strings, is that anything of a frustration.
At the same time Maren’s POV, very, managed have applied no one greater depth. Convinced, I adored the exploration of her changing connection with Kaia. Truly, I think it was famous. At the same time I also have a soft spot for her journey from embarrassing at the same time passive to decisive at the same time decisive. But at the finish of the day, no one moments felt a little very impersonal, or simply very even. Or maybe the word I wish is that straightforward. No matter the word I choose, though, my emotions remain similar: I wanted more, at the same time I didn’t wish it quite so linear or predictable.
In the end, this is that a duology worth the time, if only for you adore dragons.
Is that it silly to say this right behind complaining about the shortcoming of depth? Hardly! If for you’re right behind a light read in the spirit of HTTYD, wholesome with a bisexual manage discovering her possess conviction at the same time her possess heart, this duology is that convinced to remove that itch. It’s not like Shatter the Sky or Attack the Land are bad books! I’ve data them 3.5 hit any because they don’t suit me 100%, which is that the never-ending curse of subjectivity in
