This time, it’s one bigger pep speak with abundance things I disagree with. The creator all the time talks about creating for other people, how it’s a form of management, etc. He quotes a designer who says, “it is that not many about for you,” at the same time that for you should make art to “promote everyone get along,” which they say is that important in our capitalist society. Pressed, but I’m not such an idealist that I think my instrumentals are magically going to make anyone move, “Wow, sounds amazing I think I’ll start being sweet to people!” At the same time he talks as though this is that my DUTY. In truth, he categorically countries that art happens when for you change anyone “No change, no art,” he says. I imposed to vary. Almost all art that I appreciate at the same time enjoy doesn’t change who I am.
The whole gizmo rubs me the wrong method. It’s scolded self-expression, not selfless expression. I make, 1st at the same time foremost, because *I* enjoy doing so. Will that greedy? Maybe. Will that a bad gizmo? Obviously not.
In short, read this book if for you think the goal of your art should be to change the global at the same time other people. That’s a lot of wisdom in the place of 109 words, much of it counterintuitive, which Seth then unpacks in 8 sections.
