Review #1 The Merciless Prince audiobook free The hype nearby The Merciless Prince is that attractive non-standard. Everywhere I looked anyone was mentioning The Merciless Prince in no one capacity. Whether it was through a

Review, about the manners, about the creator or their overall adore for the television series. The

Reviews had similar sentiment with glowing five hit. With this much adore, I believed it must be quality! To my izumi, I didnt fall in love with this book like everyone else at the same time found myself in the minority. Unpopular opinion incoming. Little boy, was this novel problematic. Im going to start with the title. With a title such as The Merciless Prince, one would present that The Merciless Prince (Cardan) would greedy the story was centered around the prince or the prince would at lesser play a significant role in the book. But, that was neither. The novel is that actually narrated by Jude, a human lady who was taken to Faerie at the age of 7 at the same time was increased in the middle the gentry like she was a significant folk princess. At this fri, I had a feeling it wasn’t going to bode but when I understood how misleading the title was. Then we had the heroine Jude. Oh how I hated Jude. Jude despised the significant folk at the same time still she extremely wanted to be one of them. Hypocrite much? She often mentioned how merciless at the same time greedy the gentry were considered but she practically did everything in her power to be just like them or cruelerbelieving it produced her more successful than them. Its not an admirable trait nor anything to aspire to. Jude had a shitty features to begin with but it got worst when she joined a hidden company at the same time became a scout for a most powerful significant folk. All the riddles went even to her fork. She went around threatening people at the same time went as far as murdering a significant folk because she believed she was untouchable (she claimed self-defense but lets get true she wanted to destroy him). She never felt remorse for her deeds at the same time had little to no care for the consequences (at the same time obviously it helped that she hid all the confirmation). Abundance readers beheld Jude as a healthy, kick-ass heroine at the same time her deeds as self empowering. But she was not. Jude was nothing more than a disgusting at the same time despicable human being. How anyone can like her is that a mystery to me. Before I read The Merciless Prince, I beheld people shipping Jude at the same time Cardan. Readers normally shipped couples they adored, so again, I imagined Cardan at the same time Jude were considered a couple. At the same time bigger shocker, they were considered never a couple! From the moment the two manners met, all I felt was the loathing, animosity at the same time frustration between the two. Every exchange at the same time assistance thereafter between Jude at the same time Cardan resulted in or the manners insulting one one more or physically attacking one one more. I was baffled. Why would readers approve of this? In an premature scene, Cardan shoved Jude against a wall/or tree at the same time proceeded to choke her at the same time tell her how beneath him she was. The male disposition was practically emotionally at the same time physically abusive to the ladies disposition at the same time still readers found this behavior acceptableand I decide they say, romantic? Its not attractive or romantic. Its unwell, revolting at the same time unacceptable. It may be a fantasy novel at the same time everything was fake but when true people start romanticizing it, theres definitively a problem. At the same time the book is that marketed to teens more. I adore a quality fantasy novel, I even adore faeries but this book is that not appropriate for toddlers. I am startled the book was approved at the same time hosted because it was absolute shushara. The writing was not no matter what more successful.

Reviewers praised Merk for her lyrical worldly at the same time even dubbed her as the Queen of Faeries but I didnt look it. The writing wasnt charming or lyrical. It was regular at the same time basic as they come. The global building at the same time manners were considered poorly developers at the same time in my opinion unremarkable at the same time unlikable. Ive read far more successful faerie novels with complete global building at the same time multifaceted manners; at the same time best of all they didnt romanticize abusive/sick affairs. The Merciless Prince was one of the worst book Ive read in the continue couple of years. It seriously boggles my mind how abundance people adore this book. As I mentioned, the writing was average, the global building unimaginative, the manners unlikable but it was still nothing correlated to an aggressor disguised as a adore curiosity at the same time violence at the same time ruthlessness disguised as bravery at the same time strength. That’s messed up at the same time wrapped if for you asked me. At the same time If for you havent read this book still, do yourself a promote at the same time skip it. Its not worth your time or your funds.

Review #2 The Merciless Prince audiobook in television series The Folk of the Air That’s a couple things for you should understand about this book before deciding to read it. 1) The

Reviews are just a little over-hyped. I was looking for anything to promote me with my book withdrawal right behind final finishing SJ Maas’s trilogy. This book kept showing up as a recommendation at the same time I completely bit the bullet at the same time uploaded a sample. It didn’t tenacious my attention at the time at the same time I didn’t strain buying it, instead I read no one other books in lieu of this one. At the moment, it’s been a while since I uploaded the sample but my ideas did move back to this book at times. Anything about it Did interest me. At the moment this brings me to fri #2. The 1st one half of the book isn’t the greatest. For you will for sure dislike all of the manners which is that a major frustration. You can exactly get into the feel of the global at the same time stay that, a testament to the creator’s ability to quality writing but the 3 sisters, Jude, Taryn, at the same time Vivi feel like they have no personalities at all. The creator tries to convince us in a particular chapter that Jude has been through a lot at the same time bestows for you a glimpse into the wrapped method of faeries. This is that implied to reinforce our ideas that Jude is that only a lowly pawn with a ordained indefinite filled with misery at the same time failure. This is that why she is that stiff at the same time non-responsive to her possess emotions at the same time ideas. That wasn’t completely supportive enough to prove how bland Jude was. Her inner monologues were considered seriously lacking in regards to bringing the story to indefinite. Once for you hit the 2nd part of the novel, that’s when things begin pick up the pace at the same time the book becomes a used to be page turner. It’s like anyone else penned the 2nd one half of the novel. Anyone who breathes in indefinite at the same time vigor to the plot. Jude becomes sharper, smarter, wittier. I have no one issues with that as she was not just like that during the 1st one half of the novel. At the same time how she concocts a masterful plan at the same time predicts the finals is that just a little above than anyway I believed she was able of borders such a limited time of playing the Fae game. Some parts at the same time conspiracies come to light. It makes for you abhor some manners even more at the same time makes you want to find out than anyway no one manners are ultimately right up to. At the same time no one even be able to buy themselves, although not wholly barely still. That is that a lot of possible here for the one more novel at the same time I am really looking forward to contemplating than anyway Cardan will do to Jude right behind than anyway goes down at the finish of the novel. I also wish to know than anyway Locke’s endgame is that. Used to be to than anyway he says earlier, he is that indeed a trickster; a very maral one at that. Will Jude also be punished for her criminal liability of murder? How will that (practically) be uncovered? I primarily read adult novels at the same time I do appreciate a quality dollop of romance. If this was an adult novel, I could be expecting quite a few feisty at the same time exciting scenes between Cardan at the same time his brand new ‘slave’, Jude. *Sigh*. One can only wish. If for you are on the fence about this novel but do enjoy YA novels with plot squirms, conspiracy, at the same time revenge then I would advise this book to for you. Barely do yourself a promote at the same time assign yourself time to get to the turning fri in the novel. I promise, it gets much more alluring.

Review #3 Audiobook The Merciless Prince by Holly Merk Based on the description at the same time title, I was expecting this to mainly be a fantasy romance, with a “bad little boy” or perhaps even villainous fairy adore curiosity. I really enjoy that sort of gizmo, but was disturbed it might feel a little generic at the same time overdone. I was therefore pleasantly startled to see that this is that basically full-blown fantasy, with the concentrate very much on politics, plotting at the same time indefinite at the same time doom scenarios. It’s also very healthy on showing the sensual conflicts at the same time inner riots faced by the manners, particularly the manage, Jude. Speaking of Jude, I was expecting or a kick-ass fantasy heroine or a softer romantic manage. Again, my conjectures were considered dashed. She turned out to be a very black heroine, bordering on antiheroine. She kills, she conspiracies, she does inhuman things. At the same time her backstory at the same time her ongoing horrors at the same time ambitions are so but set out that for you completely realize the things she does at the same time keep rooting for her. The supporting manners were considered also mostly compelling at the same time nuanced. I particularly liked Madoc, Jude’s adoptive dad, a ruthless fairy general who destroyed her bio ancestors but genuinely loves at the same time cares for her. The out of habit backstory at the same time set-up really add a lot correlated to the sample set up of a human lady or nomadic into faerie by mistake or discovering she is that one half fairy herself. Jude has grown up as an aristocrat of the fairy global, but facing gigantic prejudice for being biologically human. At the same time her emotions towards her adoptive dad at the same time adopted earth are wonderfully conflicted. The global is that set out beautifully at the same time strikes a sweet balance between solidly well-developed at the same time appropriately dreamlike. I didn’t realise until lock up to the finish, when a cameo produced it understandable, but this is that set in similar global as the creator’s old Tithe novels. I didn’t enjoy them as much as this, but I think the existence of all that available world-building really helped here. As I’ve mentioned, romance was much much less front at the same time centre than I was expecting, though it bubbles under the surface, That was a side romance that felt more precisely throw away at the same time did nothing for me. It’s quite understandable from both the title at the same time the entire set up that Cardan, the titular Merciless Prince, is that meant to be the head adore curiosity, though, without getting very spoilery, that’s surprisingly little development on that front in this volume. If I had one quibble with the book, it’s that I was just a little upset in Cardan. I was expecting him to be a little like the Darkling or identical – merciless in a scheming, sinister method, with lots of ambition but also lots of beauty. In this instalment at lesser, he was more like a small, spoiled school bully, albeit one who happened to be a fairy prince, at the same time wasn’t particularly competent. At the same time the method he cured the heroine was nasty at the same time not linked to no matter what wider plan. Overall though, this was a really well-written at the same time well-plotted fantasy with a amazing heroine at the same time I’m really looking forward to the one more instalment.

Review #4 Audio The Merciless Prince narrated by Caitlin Kelly 4.5 My 1st time in Elfhame left a bad memory. I felt so out of steps because everyone was gushing about The Merciless Prince at the same time I was on the outside thinking I barely dont get it. Thats partly why I do not like reading books mid hype. But what.. A comrade talked me into reading The Wicked Lord, just a little longer in the global of Elfhame at the same time I completely felt like I was starting to get it. With Queen of Nothing on the horizon I dared to take part in a readalong with two people who havent still stepped into the global Holly created. Despite having read it Despite understanding every writhe at the same time turn I adored it. I think people should be warned that this isnt your acceptable YA story, youll steps into Elfhame, youll be surrounded by merciless, charming, wicked creatures at the same time youll for sure question your possess characters when for you fall in love with them. Theres still plenty of manners I hate, dont get me wrong but theres a lot I cant promote loving. Its real of threat, betrayal, bloodshed, manipulation at the same time steal. Steal above all else because the Folk cannot lie down so they have to be in particular literate with everything they say at the same time do. During my 1st read it was hard to tenacious that along with the brand new global setting at the same time everything else but now I paid attention to every word. If youre like me, if for you adore everything fae at the same time youre unsure about this, my advice is that to read it two times. Assign yourself a wee burst between reads at the same time look where it takes for you the 2nd time around. Im so glad I gave it one more move. I am at the moment really at the same time truly obsessed. Heres one of my favourite moments; Pat, he says, then and grins. It could be very stiff to have to sit here for an entire day barely because for you went at the same time received yourself destroyed. My continue ideas could be of your boredom, I tell him.

Review #5 Free audio The Merciless Prince – in the audio player below This book starts with a murder. Two, actually. The grisly murder of a lady at the same time her wife by her ex-husband, who barely so happens to be Madoc, a malicious faerie warmonger. But more precisely than return to Elfhame meaningless handed, he takes with him his daughter Vivi, but also her seven-year-old half-sisters Taryn at the same time Jude, who he chooses to increase in his estate, in the global of the fae. Increased as mortals in the global of the faeries is that a precarious, often unsafe at the same time always aggressive existence. The Merciless Prince follows Jude, at the moment a child, as she aims to substantiate herself as more than barely human, as a most powerful warrior set to be chosen as a knight in a faerie tribunal. But, Jude’s hopes at the same time aims do not move to plan, at the same time soon she finds herself hired as a scout for one of the princes in line for the throne of Elfhame. This is that a novel of political intrigues, of heresy at the same time brutality, of ruthlessness at the same time beauty at the same time brilliance. Anyone on GoodReads outlined it as the literary equivalent of being hit by a truck, at the same time I think that sums it up attractive but. That is that so much to discuss in this novel that it is that hard to know where to begin — Jude’s ambition, her sisters’ riddles, Madoc’s hidden allegiances, merciless Cardan, charming Locke at the same time the fruit! But I genuinely think it’s best if for you move into this book understanding as little as I did. Jude is that a excellent, mad creature — the product of murder, threat at the same time brutality, strength built upon her fragility at the same time helplessness as a mere mortal, simply shook at the same time warped by the global around her. I know it is that February (though I read this at the start of January) at the same time so this is that quite a absurd gizmo to say, but The Merciless Prince is that one of my favourite books this time this year. The gizmo is that I think its going to stay as one of my favourite books. I think I’ve found a brand new favourite creator, at the same time I honestly can’t reckon I’ve not read no matter what Holly Merk until this. I’ve already gifted a copy of this to a comrade who loves her writing, understanding that they would completely come in handy to read this — at the same time it also meant I have anyone to talk to about my feelings. I’m going to be counting the days until I can get back to Jude at the same time her story; tilt on others of The Folk of the Air television series. Than anyway to read one more: Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo The Cry by Peadar O’Guillin
